Incredible nature and wildlife

Our trip to Kenya with my husband and 3 children (15,13,11) exceeded every expectation. The safari was amazing, we saw every animal up close. Our guide was brilliant and our accommodation was fabulous.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

Gorillas in the mist is for real and ranks at the top of the mountain!
Overall rating
5/5

To see mountain gorillas in their natural habitat was beyond "awesome." To be so very close to them was a cherished memory. When one of the teens brushed my leg, I felt like I had been "knighted." My husband and I were fortunate to have 2 days of gorilla trekking with 2 different families: one high in the mountains and the other in the bamboo thicket. We always felt safe; the Virunga/Volcanoes Mountain park guides were very, very good.

The one hike high in the mountains was very arduous for my husband of 65 years; he actually needed 2 porters to help him up and down the mountain . Our park guide was good and understanding of his situation as well as the other people in our group; a big thank you to all of them. We really did experience the phrase/title of Gorillas in the Mist.

Our accomodations at Gorilla Mountain Lodge were superb. The lodge staff was most accomodating. We loved the service and the food. The view from our lodge was spectacular.

Our driver and his Toyota SUV was another big plus of our adventure. He was at our beck and call and he kept his vehicle immaculate.

Our only short disappointment was the negative response we got from one porter who felt we didn't tip him enough. I still remember him staring me down. Our driver assured us that what we gave him ($10 USD) was sufficient and not to think any more about it.

I have traveled quite a bit throughout the world and have had great experiences and excursions. I have been on a 2 week safari in the Serengeti; meaning, when I rank Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda as: 10+, I mean it.

Fantastic experience and unforgettable!

Went with Colours of Africa on a special private trip which started in Arusha. From there we went to the Serengeti and camped there for one night and saw two of the big one. It was a bit airy to know that the eyes we saw in the night at the camping place were hyenas! From there we went and camped on the Ngorogoro crater edge saw Elephants next to the campsite. Next day we went to the crater and what a feast seeing Lion family, antilopes, hyenas swimming, buffalos, hippo family and etc etc so many animal and birds! In the afterthought we should maybe had at least two extra days in these two places! But we got lucky and saw so many of the native animals in these places birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. From there we went to Arusha again and stayed one night there! Visited a Massai village on the way to Arusha and I would recommend that everybody should visit one! From Arusha we went to Materuni village and the highlight was getting coffee made in front of us i.e. from bean to cup and getting a meal served by local people.
From Arusha we went to Kigoma to visit Gombe national park! It is a privilege to be allowed to stay at the same place and Jane Godall did her studies on the chimpanzees! Saw a lot of them and baboons and it is strange to have them walking only arms length from you! We stayed there for 2 nights and what a experience!
From there we went to Zanzibar and stayed 3 days!
Got lot of pictures i.e. more than 4000!

The Guides and chefs were exceptional! Highly recommendable company!

A once in a life time experience.
Overall rating
4/5

We were maybe just extremely lucky but in mammals we saw the Golden Rump ElephantShrew (4x), an Adlers Duiker another Suni(?) Shrews and a civet.
The bird experience was amazing: We saw the Amani sunbird; Sokoke Pipit; Sokoke Scops Owl; Forest weaver; Woodpeckers; Spotted Ground Thrush Bee-eater; as well as a number of horn bills and black kites.
Our experience in the forest started at 6 in the morning and we left the forest the afternoon. The guide assisted me a lot to follow the Pipit until I got a photo of it. The photo of the Amani Sunbird also clear to identify the bird but the distance was quite far.
I would recommend anybody to go very early and be very patient and prepared to walk long distances in hot and humid conditions.

About: Kenya
Both Nairobi and the Wildlife Reserves are beautiful and fantastic.
Overall rating
5/5

We live in The Netherlands. My 21 year old son and I (father) went for two weeks, 1 week in Nairobi and the 2nd on Safari, to see 3 wildlife reserves. The people in Nairobi were very welcoming and very nice. In our hotel and everywhere else, everyone was very helpful. The city is beautiful and interesting.

The reserves were everything we were hoping for and more, especially Masai Mora. We had a very good driver / guide for our safari, which makes all the difference. Really fantastic to see the animals. Accommodations in Nairobi and during safari were all excellent. Food is good, and service is excellent. There is absolutely nothing I could say about our shared experience in Kenya - a real opportunity for some good ole father-son bonding - which would be less than laudatory. I intend to return soon!

Serengeti is amazing
Overall rating
5/5

Serengeti was all I had expected and then some. The animals, including the Great Migration, and the birds were beautiful, accommodations were unique and comfortable, and even at the more heavily-populated visitor centers at the entrances there was no trash or papers/plastic around.

Perfect service from the first contact to the very end of the tour
5/5

We traveled with Anda African Adventure for one week (Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Lake Manyara).

Our travel started few months prior, however. I made the selection of the tour operator. The key reason for selecting the Anda was their active approach - namely perfect communication of Remsi Sungwa who timely and properly responded. His advices to our itinerary (especially which air companies we shall fly with) were always correct. After we completed the tour (incl. flight to another destination) he checked a status of that final service.

What was offered and agreed was completely delivered.

In addition our driver Peter was very nice, knowledgeable and attentive to our requirements.

I highly appreciate all the services of Anda.

Best park in Tanzania
Overall rating
5/5

This park is, hands down, our favorite place in Tanzania. No matter what time of year you visit, you will always see lions, cheetahs, oodles of wildebeest, giraffe and many other animals. Depending on the length of your stay, you should also be able to see a leopard or two.
Highly recommend it!

3 days Massai Mara camping safari
5/5

We were pleased with the trip. First, our driver was very kind and knowledgeable about this National Park. We went very close to lions, cheetahs, giraffes etc... even a rhino, that is supposed to be very rare. Our camping was great: urge tent with cement floor, real beds, toilet and hot showers (heated by a wood fire) every night. Food was good with a great cook. If you book with Breezy, be sure to contact Jacinta, she will take very good care of you. And, on top of that, it is the cheapest safari you can get.

First Safari in my life was very good
Overall rating
5/5

We were in Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater and Lake Manyara. We enjoyed all. Our tour guider and the driver were really skilfull, friendly and helpful. They did a professional work for us! The foods were very good, healthy and taste, and in the camp we saw an wonderful dancing and fire-eater acrobatic show from the staff.
The igloo where we slept was warm and comfortable with a doublesized bed. The safety was very good but this is Africa so 1 night I met an scorpion when I walked to the toilet so I suggest everyone to use smartphone light in the camp at night!
