Tanzania proved me that real wildlife is still possible to be experienced in this threatened world!

Luck, good karma, faith... I don't know what it was and I truly don't care.
To be able to see close up the big five and the little five during the same safari is no easy and in some cases not very likely.
I want to think that it was my true conviction that with good intensions, positive energy and vibe to nature everything is possible. And the proof is the 10 pics I have of this threatened, magnificent and extraordinary beautiful inhabitants of our planet in this corner of Africa: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and white rhino also known as the Big Five, and elephant shrew, buffalo weaver, leopard tortoise, lionant and the rhino beetle known as the Little Five.

I really enjoyed my trip to Tanzania especially to Serengeti and Ngorongoro. Zanzibar was also nice but I loved the mainland. It is a very special experience, I recommend it to everyone.

I was very fortunate to book the 3-day Masai Mara tour organized by Jocky Tours, at short notice. It was extremely well-organized/conducted tour in the incomparable Masai Mara National Park.

The Park itself is a very well-protected, professionally-maintained area. The welfare of animals as well as the safety/enjoyment of visiting tourists is very well taken care of. The slightly high entry fees is very well-justified.

Its a once-in-a-lifetime experience that you should never miss. Allow the abundant love and hospitality of Kenyans overwhelm you. Go Kenya

An amazing Safari Experience
Overall rating
5/5

It was our first trip to South Africa and we were really excited about our Safari Experience. Our trip was arranged through Go2Africa and I have to say Kapama Southern Camp gave us the most amazing experience. We stayed there for four (4) days and by the last day we did not want to leave.

The chalets and the surrounding areas are truly amazing! You will have animals roaming around the camp and you can even see Kudus or monkeys outside your room. The camp is so peaceful that between games you can spend some time by the pool reading a book. Food is great! You will have plenty of options to chose from during breakfast, lunch and dinner and even during the snacks.

I guess we were really blessed since the beginning of our trip! The day we arrived we did not made the usual check in process because we were rush to the restaurant so we can see a herd of elephants (fist of the big five’s) playing at a sort of lake located at the back of the camp.

Our Ranger Aneen was very knowledgeable; she knew every flower, bird, and animal and their “story” and she even draw a story for us in front mirror of the truck. Our Tracker Muxe, was spectacular. He was so respectful, attentive and sweet that we did not want to leave him by the end of our trip. The combination of the knowledge of Aneen and Muxe was impressive.

This is not a Zoo, is a real “bush” or “safari” experience. You will find yourself very close with all the animals. For example we saw an old male lion and he decided to stand mere two feet from our truck looking in my direction, I was scare, but at the same time I felt safe because I knew Muxe was there. Now, that is one of the great stories and pictures I can share with friends and family.

We saw lots of giraffe (my favorite!), Impalas, Warthogs, Kudu, Elephants, Rhinos, Buffalos, a Pack of Male Lions, a Cheetah, an Old male Lion and his lioness eating a warthog, among other animals. We also interacted with another Ranger, Janri, because he was the one who transfer us to the Endanger Species location and to the Spa. He was sooooo nice! In our way to the Endanger Species location we saw a male lion with two lionesses, a herd of elephants, two rhinos and buffaloes and all of them really close, no binocular needed. Definitely, we will be going back to some of Kapama Camps in the future.

Recommendations: If you are not that young, ask for a room not too far away from the reception area. Take with you a bathing suit, you will have time to chill out. Visit the Endangers Species Project. Use comfy pants and clothes and take with you a hat and sunglasses.

Vast and beautiful with very diverse people and wildlife.
Overall rating
4/5

South Africa was our family dream trip. Seeing the animals in their natural environment while on the safari was the highlight of our trip. It was very majestic. But everywhere you ride in South Africa from Johannesburg to Kruger to Cape Town all you see is vast and beautiful scenery all around. It also has a great deal of diversity among the people there. Beautiful mountains, canyons with rivers/streams, waterfalls, etc. I recommend that everybody comes at least once in their lifetime if they can.

Gorillazzzzz!
Overall rating
5/5

If you want to see mountain gorillas I believe this is the best park to go and see them. I went on Sunday 7th September 2014 to one of the entrance points (sorry I forgot the exact location of entrance) of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest NP. The group was small, arount 5-7 tourists. Before the track the guide/ranger gave us tourist/trackers a good introduction on what to expect and the do's and don'ts. Thereafter the guides were informed by the rangers where our gorilla family was found. Because they are walking, foraging and eating, they are not fixed in one spot. Then the tracking began. I am not a sporty and I was a bit scared now and then climbing up and down the slopes of the mountain, but they all provided us with a stick and you could choose a porter to carry your daypack and to assist you. I have to admit that I was holding the (female?!) porter's hand for almost the whole trip, but they all really helped out: the guides, the porters and the rangers. It was a very nice experience, they were all very professional and we managed to find the gorillas after around 1-1,5 hours hike. We saw them eating tree bark and sitting together. They (the gorillas) saw us, but for the main part they simply ignored us and allowed us to be in there habitat. We also saw them swing in a tree and sit far above us. After we had spend 1 hour with the gorillas we hiked back through the forest. The silverback said his goodbyes to us with a big fart :-). After around 2 hours hiking we came at a parking lot where our drivers were waiting for us with the cars. It was a well organized and wonderful experience and we were all rewarded with a certificate :-). We were lucky with the weather, because during the whole track there was no rain. Nice experience!
