Amazing Africa tour with knowledgeable guide
5/5

It was my first time to go on a safari tour in Africa, so I was a bit nervous but everyone at ONLY ONE AFRICA was always there to support me in every detail, making it a wonderful trip.

The hotels we stayed from luxury camp to 5 stars hotel were all unique, and we had a unique experience that only traveling in Kenya can provide.
Our tour guide, Mr. Joroge, was very knowledgeable about wildlife and was always answer any questions in Japanese, which made our game drives even more fantastic.
Thank you very much for amazing time!

Unforgettable and magical trip to the Serengeti
5/5

When I was preparing to undergo a safari deep in the Serengeti, I was initially overwhelmed by the sheer amount of tour groups and places to go. Let me make life simple for you - Porcupine Expeditions is undoubtedly the way to go! The respect, kindness, and friendships that they provide are truly unforgettable and make this an exceptional experience. I had the honor of working with Mama and hearing her story about what it means to be a "porcupine"; small, but fierce and protecting. Rather than branding the safari group as a proud lion or a dangerous cheetah, the philosophy behind Porcupine Expeditions is one of compassion and family. Here are a few reasons why this safari will change your life:

- The guides are knowledgeable, down to earth, and friendly. On this trip, I got very close with Jonas (tour guide) and Paulo (chef). Jonas would point out animals and share fun facts that kept us all entertained. From stories of culture and history to tunes filled with Bongo flavor, Jonas made this trip one of a kind. We had late night talks watching a vast field of stars. Paulo, the chef, taught me to cook local dishes like Jagera and Ugali. Chopping vegetables, stirring soups, and hearing about his experiences was eye opening. We also smashed charcoal blocks to bake bread and used different methods to disinfect the water. The trip was both culturally enriching and fulfilling for wildlife exploration!
- This trip is friendly for solo travelers. Coming alone from the US, I was worried that it would be dangerous to go to the Serengeti alone. Mama and her family made sure that I was taken care of, fed, and safe. She constantly went out of her way to check that I was enjoying the trip and taking care of myself! Even after the expedition, Mama will update me on her life to keep tabs. The friendliness, warmth, and compassion are something you won't find on other expedition groups. Our safari became a family road trip.
- Of course, the wildlife is breathtaking. Lions, hippos, warthogs, baboons. Anything you could imagine would just be an arms length away! Once you see the world, you will realize just how beautiful and majestic our home is.

This is a wonderful experience that I would recommend to ANYONE! I am excited to book another tour and bring my family to Tanzania to meet my African family: Porcupine Expeditions! To the Porcupine team - I will see you soon!

About: Uganda
What a nice surprise
Overall rating
5/5

We (Father with two teenagers) headed of to a nine day private Safari in Uganda to see the Gorillas. And we did not get disappointed, we spent an hour with them, an amazing experience.

However, we where surprised and charmed by the overall Safari experience we had. Wildlife in abundance (organised between the different parcs) and close up - a lot on foot. So Uganada is not only a Gorilla and Schimpanzee destination, but big 5 country. Lots of elephants, hippos (grazing), buffalo, giraffes, white rhinos (in a sanctuary but not to be missed), lions, leopards, gorillas, schimpanzees, etc., etc.

The lodges were good and authentic (Mwyea your Out of Africa lodge, Paraa nicely on the NIle River bank, Kimbali Forest Camp a mid-range absolute fair value, Rushuga Gorilla Camp and luxury Kimbari Lodge), food well prepared and people very kind and accomodating.

Our trip was organised by Tuable Safari. Jamal was our local guide and driver. Excellent Safari vehicle, very knowledgable guide. There was a mix-up with one of the lodges, but it got sorted out. The organisation was spot on and I can highly recommend the tour operator.

Due to the cost of the gorilla and schimpanzee permits Uganda is not a cheap Safari destnation, but absolutely worthwile. Overall you find a top offering at a fair price.

Incredible experience at an afforadable price!
5/5

My wife and I went to Botswana in July 2024. We have been to multiple safaris before in Kenya (Masai Mara, Amboseli and surrounding), and South Africa (Kruger, Thimbavati, and Sabi Sands). I wanted to have a personalized private safari experience where my wife and I could enjoy the serene nature all to ourselves. David and his group offered just the same to us at an affordable price. We had THE ABSOLUTE BEST safari experience of all time. We spent three nights at Xakanaxa, 2 nights in Khwai, 2 in Savuti and 2 at Chobe. It was just two us of these sites, along with our guide/driver, a cook and a helper. Our guide was very experienced to say the least and tailored the entire trip to our liking. The very first evening drive at Xakanaxa, we saw two leopards, 2 lions and then a pack of wild dogs running through our camp! There was never a day where we did not see a big cat, and often we saw multiple in a day along with other incredible wildlife that Botswana offers. Overall, I would give this experience 5 out of 5 stars, and I would definitely hire David's group whenever we are back in Botswana.

Jambo Masai Tours gave us a fantastic safari with expert guiding, delicious food, and great service.
5/5

My safari with Jambo Masai Tours was absolutely amazing! The breathtaking landscapes and diverse wildlife were beyond anything we could have imagined. Camping under the stars added a magical touch to the entire experience and made it truly one of a kind.

Nuru, our guide, was phenomenal. His ability to spot wildlife from afar was nothing short of fascinating. Thanks to him, we got incredibly close to the animals and learned so much about their behavior and habitats. His knowledge and passion for the job made the trip even more special. I would highly recommend him to anyone planning a safari.

Yohani, our chef, was another highlight of the trip. Not only did he prepare fresh, delicious meals every day, but his cheerful personality and funny jokes kept everyone entertained.

The entire process, from booking to the end of the tour, was smooth and professional. Jambo Masai Tours exceeded all expectations, and I wouldn’t hesitate to choose them again.

Fabulous 18 day Kenya and Tanzania safari
5/5

We chose this company due to their excellent itinerary, high quality of lodging, excellent reviews, and great value compared to other quotes we had gotten. We had 4 different guides on different parts of our tour (due to additions we made to their normal safari schedule) and had great experiences with each one (David, John, Phillip, and Francis). Our main guide was Phillip. He was awesome! Highly knowledgeable and willing to please his guests. One thing we liked about Phil was that you could tell he was as excited to see a great wildlife encounter as we were. That was very nice. He also took the time to find out what we were interested in and tailored the trip accordingly. Each lodge had its own special charm. The food was fantastic and the unlimited bottled water definitely came in handy. You could easily tell the lodges were chosen with care. Pappa John set up a fantastic trip. Each day was an adventure and almost seemed better than the last amazing day. The communication prior to the safari was top notch. Lucy was very responsive and helpful. Within 3 days of starting our safari we had already seen the big 5. Our animal encounters were out of this world. We especially enjoyed Sheldrick Wildlife Trust’s elephant orphanage. What an fantastic organization. We highly recommend using this company. They are an amazing group of people that do everything to make your safari an adventure of a lifetime and it absolutely was! This safari was to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and will give us memories that will last a lifetime!

In one word: Amazing!
5/5

Spirit of Kenya promised a lot in advance and made all promises reality.
Victor took a lot of time to inform us about all the possibilities and options. That made we ended up with a safari plan that fitted us in a great way.
We visited Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara. And we saw it all! Big five - a couple of times - and all the other animals you can think of when thinking about a safari in Africa. We enjoyed it so much. The lodges we selected were also meeting our expectations. Especially Kibo safari Camp in Amboseli was lovely. But also Olengoti safari camp in the Masai Mara was a great experience.
The driver/guide we had was mister George. A very professional man with good sence of humour but also a very wide knowledge of the parks we visited and animals we met. A big compliment to him.
Any wat, if you plan a safari in Kenya get in touch with Spirit of Kenya. You ll not regret. They take care of all from the fieat to the last minute. Amazing!

Unforgettable Honeymoon Safari with Mountain Warriors and Mbwana!
5/5

When choosing a safari agency, I reached out to three or four agencies to request quotes and itineraries. Initially, I opted for a standard package, but since this was our honeymoon, I suggested some adjustments, including staying at luxury accommodations. I didn’t have specific names in mind for the lodges at first, so I simply shared pictures of luxury lodges I found online, describing the vibe and quality I was looking for. Mountain Warriors’ sales officer, Loveness Peter, perfectly understood my preferences and patiently revised the itinerary to address all my detailed questions. Her responsiveness and attention to detail made it easy for me to confidently choose Mountain Warriors.

Throughout the safari, our guide, Mbwana, exceeded all expectations. His flexibility and dedication were remarkable—driving for over ten hours a day while constantly scanning the surroundings and staying in touch with other guides via radio to locate rare wildlife. Thanks to his expertise, we witnessed incredible moments: five lions surrounding a buffalo, two of the 24 critically endangered black rhinos in Ngorongoro, and an elephant grazing just three meters away from us.

Mountain Warriors also went the extra mile by coordinating with all the lodges to make our honeymoon special. We are especially grateful to Signiture and Lion’s Paw lodges for surprising us with song-and-dance celebrations and a honeymoon cake!

Having visited Africa many times and experienced safaris in other countries, I can confidently say this was an unparalleled adventure. It was my husband’s first visit to Africa, and he was equally blown away. This honeymoon was a once-in-a-lifetime experience, and we will undoubtedly recommend Mountain Warriors to all our friends and family.

A big thank you to the Mountain Warriors team for making our honeymoon unforgettable, and special thanks to Mbwana for his exceptional guiding skills. Wishing Mountain Warriors continued success in delivering amazing safaris and all the best to Mbwana!
