Fantastic operator and perfect organisation.
I don't normally write reviews but feel that I must after just returning from a trip to the Mara, Amboseli and Zanzibar with my family courtesy of Kennedy at Doyen Safaris. I had an idea of where I wanted to go and where I wanted to stay but with Kennedy's contacts and suggestions he came up with the perfect itinerary at a very good price compared to other operators I had contacted. He even looked after us during our brief time in Nairobi and with his driver Joseph, acted as a tour guide of his wonderful city ! Nothing was too much trouble and all the questions I had for him before the trip began were answered very promptly (even surprise flight changes!).
I must admit I had reservations about booking a whole trip through a local operator, but with Doyen I did not need to worry, and in fact it proves that it is actually better to go with someone with local knowledge.

An Exceptional Experience
Ute helped us with our honeymoon trip to South Africa, we wanted to do a safari and a visit to Cape Town. Ute had been very patience with us throughout the planning phase and she has an outstanding organizational as well as coordination skills. From the time we arrived in South Africa everything was well planned and prepared, we did not have to worry about a thing. We stayed at the Phinda Mountain lodge which was an exceptional experience. The staff, service, accommodation etc were just great. We spotted all the big 5s in Phinda, so the game viewing was amazing, this is definitely a place to visit. After the Safari we headed to Cape Town and stayed at the Table Bay Hotel - the location was very convenient, we really enjoyed our time in Cape Town.
We highly recommend Ute for your future trip, you wont be disappointed!

Your Best Friend In Zimbabwe
If you have any desire to go to Victoria Falls, do yourself a favor and use Yvonne at Routes Through Africa. She will hold your hand through the planning process, make intelligent suggestions, pick you up at the airport, provide a detailed written itinerary, meet you for each of your booked activities and get you to and through the airport back home. I never felt so comfortable in a foreign country as I did with Yvonne. She is like the unofficial mayor of this small town and can make pretty much anything happen for you. You will be hard pressed to meet anyone that is better organized or as good at customer service as Yvonne. I highly recommend her services for large and small groups and individuals.

Great value, great quality Ngorongoro/Serengeti/Zanzibar combo tour
Maturaf and his team provided us (2 people) with a great 7 night/8 day Arusha-Lake Manyara-Ngorogoro Crater-Seregenti-Zanzibar package. He was really straightforward, flexible to listen to our trip needs and adjusted our itinerary accordingly. All of the accommodation was of high quality, exactly as described. The food and service at each hotel/lodge/camp were great. We had our own jeep and guide - the car was very comfortable and our guide was really knowledgeable, not overbearing, and very flexible and accommodating. Our hotel in Zanzibar was perfect. There is nothing I can complain about and from my research of other options, Maturaf and Regional Tours offer one of the best options for quality at a good price. Will definitely consider booking future trips when we are back in Tanzania.

A life-changing experience!
Extraordinary Journeys organized a safari i Tanzania for me along with my 14 and 17 yr-old granddaughters. The organization was perfect and I took the personalized guide EJ provided me on every excursion. It was helpful and made our trip very manageable. Our driver was excellent, spotting animals long before we did, and the animals! Well! We took a great tourist guide of Tanzania with us and checked off 19 different animals we saw and many beautiful birds. We also saw magnificent lizards and trees. The sunsets were glorious, the lodges comfortable and exotic, and service everywhere friendly and impeccable. To experience all of this splendor with my two granddaughters was truly a life-changer. We'll never forget it.
