Amazing, would recommend and visit again!
We visited South Africa as part of our honeymoon and started our trip with a 4-day Safari/Panorama Route tour (with Wild Planet Safari). We could not have had a more excellent experience with our Safari. We booked a private tour which included a group night ride, and we decided to add a group bush walk as well. We did meet up and eat with other private groups which broke up the tour and allowed us to meet other adventurers!
Our guides were extremely knowledgeable on all animals, plants, and park/area history which was amazing when we had questions! They were amazing photographers (and shared their images with us after we left), and awesome cooks (all meals were great and made us feel like we were really getting a taste for South Africa). All of the guides were so friendly, passionate, and provided the most amazing experience to kick off our honeymoon we would recommend them for anyone traveling and trying to experience a safari. We saw so many animals (even a Cheetah, although we missed the elusive leopard, a reason to return :)) and the Panorama route was absolutely a gorgeous way to end our safari before returning to Johannesburg.
After the safari we flew to Mozambique and ended our time in Capetown enjoying some amazing adventures (paragliding, hiking Lion's head, Hermanus whale-watching, Stellenbosch wine tours). Would recommend South Africa to anyone who has enough time to travel from the US!

Hakuna Matata, wildlife heaven, just a magical journey ...
What an adventure! Hakuna Matata ....
After arriving in Johannesburg and exploring the city for 1 day, we flew to Hoedspruit. We’ve started with the Simbavati Trails Camp with glamping facilities and clear star skies in Greater Kruger (2 nights). We enjoyed encountering animals on short distances from small to big and to learn about their footprints and behaviour. After a scenic walk in the evening, we were surprised with a sunset Gin Tonic and a hot bubble bath under the stars. It was a unique experience in an unfenced Camp, where elephants drink from the swimming pool by night. The food served out of that basic kitchen was 1-star quality and versatile. Thompson is an excellent chef. The facilities were clean, confortable and we had everything we needed or wished for. The staff was outstanding. Donald brightened our days.
After 2 nights, we’ve moved to another area (Klaserie Private Nature Reserve) and the Simbavati Amani Lodge (also 2 nights). We had close encounters with the animals while enjoying the afternoon at the swimming pool. The water hole in front of the lodge is a dream come true. We had the feeling the whole Lion King movie just passed by ;-). In the morning and afternoon we’ve enjoyed fantastical game drives with drinks and snacks in-between. Our guide Julius was amazing. The facilities were luxurious, and we felt very welcome and as part of the Amani family. For us the combination of the Trails Camp and the Lodge with game drives was a perfect fit and the ideal combination between luxury and proximity to nature with close encounters. We always felt safe and got very close to those wild animals.

We did our 6 days safari with this company and we found that the food was fantastic, vehicle fantastic with socket to charge our cameras and phones, our driver was knowledgeable and fantastic!..we managed to see really incredible things with him!! The Makgadikgadi pans is a magical place where the beauty lies in the vast open pans where nothing goes on for a very long time. I enjoy Botswana in the December because of the rain fall and the bits of green coming out as well as the bird life. In the Makgadikgadi the bird never stop chirping because when the sun sets a different set of birds come out and the bird sounds never stop. During December there is a lot of rain thus there is a lot of wet pans which makes the driving very tricky sometimes (I almost rolled my bakkie in one instance) but the worst is driving on a wet pan is the rust, the pans contains salt and that salt goes in everywhere and there where it lies it makes rust. After you have driven the pans and admired the baobabs go to a place called "planet baobab" for some R&R (swimming, nice lunch) before going to the Makgadikgadi nature reserve. When going to the Nature Reserve go to Tree island first and spend the night there for these camps are very well looked after and there is no other camper close to you to spoil the sounds of nature. The nature reserve is loitered with elephants and what one must do drive all along the river and just relax and look around, you will be bound to see some animal life there. When exiting the reserve one can use the ferry or drive 30km up to exit the top. The fairy costs around R250 per car to cross the river. If you feel adventuristic drive thru the river (before you do this walk thru first and keep to the right). All and all this is an amazing place and one must go and enjoy the full journey that this place has to offer.

We were a group of 5 who booked our 4 night safari at Masai Mara with Asland Adventure Tours. The staff at Aslan, Anne and the driver Patrick were outstanding. Anne provided us with all the necessary details and answered our questions promptly and I would highly recommend this tour operator to anyone visiting Kenya. Our drive Patrick had a deep knowledge of the Masai Mara area and was able to show us so much wildlife. Having the right driver who knows the park is the key for a great experience.

The paradise on the earth
We went to Tanzania for our honeymoon. This country is magnificent, it is paradise on earth. Tanzanians are very welcoming and smiling. In October the air and water temperature is just perfect.

Amazing wildlife
Visited in October with Savannah Explorer and it was amazing to see the animals in their natural surroundings. About 2 to 2 hours drive to each national park and the public toilets were nice and clean. Be prepared for a bumpy ride as the roads can be quite rough. We managed to witness the Wilderbeest migration. The accommodation provided were nice and comfortable and the staff looked after you well. Tanzania is rich in culture and they made you feel welcoming.
