Tanzania checks all the boxes if you desire an authentic cultural and safari experience. The Original Maasai Lodge north-east of Arusha provides a luxury accommodation and excellent cuisine along with in depth Maasai cultural experiences. Arusha National Park has beautiful vegetation and animals viewing in a place with fewer visitors. The Maturuni Waterfalls and nearby coffee making excursion is an enjoyable day trip with a stop at the Chemka Hot Springs delivers a refreshing dip in the not so hot but crystal clear lovely water. The highlight of the 11 day time spent in northern Tanzania is a visit to Serengeti National Park. Although the trek to the endless plains is dusty and bumpy in the sturdy safari vehicle, the reward is in the amazing wildlife and scenery. The number of animals is mind boggling, with close encounters with lions, elephants, hippos and cheetah. Our safari tour operator Tanzania Porcupine Expedition took extreme care with us to have the best possible experience. The communication and attention to detail was incredible. Our four day safari also included Tarangire National Park and Ngorongoro Crater along with the epic time in Serengeti National Park. The mid September trip featured warm mostly sunny days and virtually no precipitation. All in all, Tanzania is a special place and visit.

Excellent tour!
5/5

From start to finish we had absolutely no problems with Northern Circuit. Michael was very helpful and informative during the booking process, and was incredibly friendly when we met him after our airport pickup. Everything was on time and on schedule, there were no hiccups at all. Abdul was an excellent driver and very friendly and informative. Musa, our cook, was also very friendly and kept everyone on tour happy. Vegetarians were well taken care of. During the tour we were well informed about all of the animals and the eco-system. I would recommend this company to anyone.

One of our greatest holidays
5/5

We've had a fantastic holiday that we will remember for a very long time. The communication by mail to find out which part of Tanzania we wanted to visit was very pleasant. Mrs. Freys really took her time to find out what we wanted. She has arranged a holiday for us according to our wishes and everything was perfect. She booked our flights, arranged the transfers etc.
We felt very welcome when we arrived in Kilimanjaro and she an her colleague came to pick us up. The accommodations in which we stayed were very good. The tents were spacious, the food was excellent, even for vegetarians. And we were lucky to be in the slow season so we were able to have a car for ourselves almost everyday. We have seen a lot of animals and can recommend the combination Ruaha - Selous. The guides and cars they used at the lodges were very good. And also our accommodation on Mafia was great. Friendly, welcoming people, beautiful dive sites etc. We really had a wonderful time.

Unspoiled Beauty! Abundant Wildlife - even in the city!

We had a wonderful vacation in South Africa. I highly recommend Cape Town, but be sure to visit the national parks as well, where you will go on two or three games drives daily to see Elephants, Giraffes, Zebras, Kudu, Lions, Leopards, Rhinos, Hippos, and herds and herds of Impala! You won't believe how close you are able to get to the animals. Oh, and the birds!! Amazing birds!

One word of caution - the shark cage dive was disappointing. They can't guarantee you will see Great Whites and the chances of seeing them (at least this time of year) are not very good. We saw sharks, but they were no bigger than a dolphin and not scary at all. Also, it was very early in the morning and both the air and the water were COLD! I was miserable and would not do that again.

Everything else was wonderful, including the food - be sure to visit Table Mountain.

I will always call Pembury Tours and Susan first!
5/5

I'm a pilot for a major airline and when we were thinking of going on a Safari and tour around South Africa I wrote to many tours asking for prices and details. Susan from Pembury Tours was the first to acknowledge gave us great info from the start. I tried Expedia and others and Susan got us the best prices and tailored our trip to what we wanted to do with our budget.
Susan was incredible, checking with us along the way as we traveled around South Africa. We had a few things go wrong (Not Susan's fault) and she took care of everything making our travel seamless.
If I travel in South Africa I'm calling Susan first! There is no reason to call anyone else.

Easy, one stop shop!
5/5

This is the second time I have had the pleasure of working with Monika Korn at The Safari Source. Monika listen to what I wanted and developed an itinerary that met my needs. She provided options and advice and my final product matched all requirements. The whole process was easy and hassle free and I would be more than happy to work with Monika Korn and the Safari Source in the future.

Enjoyable, short adventure
5/5

Easy communication over many months. The lodgings chooses were very nice and met expectations. Stephan was helpful in lining up a place for us in Arusha. John did a good job driving. He knew we were focused on birding, and while not a birding guide, he made an extra effort to help us spot and recognize several different birds.
