Very accomodating and flaxible in terms of tailoring holiday to suit needs and budget
4/5

I was interested in a 7 day Safari that visited the popular destinations and this was perfect. I travelled with my mother aged 56 and 3 children aged 13, 12 and 6. It was a special and memorable experience. Albert at bookings was understanding and took the time to design a 7 day package that suited our needs. The driver Tom were knowledgable and the cook and co driver very friendly keeping children entertained- most of all we were so lucky and got to see all the big five! Accommodation was varied to suit our needs and budget, we opted for 4 star hotel in Nakuru and tented camping in maasai mara to get the real feel of nature. This was my first safari and will definitely be booking another one off the beaten track (cultural safari). My highlights would be picnic under the thorn tree in Maasai mara, visiting maasai manyatta(village) and dancing with the warriors, observing a lion feed after a kill and flamingoes at Lake nakuru. Please note we were on holiday in Mombasa for 3 weeks and Pam safaris was reccomended by a local resident.

Review about Chobe National Park by E_Kister

5/5

Our hosts at Muchenje Lodge took us for a day-long on safari to Chobe National Park in an open vehicle that seated 8. Our driver and guide was fantastic! Knowledgeable, a great storyteller, and infinitely patient with the tourists who wanted to stop and snap pictures every 3 minutes. We must have seen over 100 elephants and nearly as many giraffe up close and personal. We saw and photographed an incredible beautiful lilac-breasted roller--the National Bird of Botswana. We could tell from the carrion birds that a lion (probably) had killed something nearby, and the driver did his best to get us there, but it was too hidden among the tall grasses and off the road. I appreciated the fact the driver respected the protections of the park and didn't go offroad into the muddy grass. So excellent all around!

My Kenyan Safari
5/5

My fiancée and I have just finished our Kenya safari with Kikwetu Cultural Adventures. This company is just superb and very organized, they helped to tailor make a 6 day safari for us through Maasai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. The safari was private and we were only two of us in a 4 by 4 landcruizer. We had the chance to see the big five and very many other animals as well as the birds by the help of their ever happy guide (they have professional staff), the accommodation options they made for us were more than our expectations and the magnificent sunset in the lodges brought out the romantic theme as we wished. Thumbs up to you guys you made the safari so sweet and memorable. We intend to come back in December to visit Mombasa and other places we missed. Kudos.

A great off the beaten track destination far away from the tourist hubs, where you can immerse yourself in the local culture while still seeing all animals Tanzania is famous for, with barely seeing any other people while driving through the park.

Mpanda can be reached by train, as well as by bus. Although a small town, Mpanda has some local guesthouses, as well as some restaurants and bars.

A tip for Swahili speakers: try to arrange a local minibus (daladala) to take the day off and instead drive you through the park for a predetermined fee. This will most likely be a lot cheaper than the vehicles that can be rented in the park.

For the upscale tourist there is also a small airstrip in the park, serving a tiny luxurious guesthouse in the middle of the park.

Cape Town and Shamwari safari excellent experience
5/5

From the start Kerry was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. We gave her a brief outline of what we wanted to do - 4 days in Cape Town and 2 nights in a game reserve with some stop overs on the Garden Route there and back. She arranged our car hire and knowing this she proposed places for us to visit and sent us a detailed suggested itinerary. Our stay at Camps Bay at the Primi Royal proved to be an ideal location with easy access to Table mountain, V & A waterfront and Cape Town itself. Our stay at the Milkwood Manor at Plettenberg Bay was first rate and from there we went onto Shamwari. Wow - what a place to stay - excellent safari guide who was a pleasure to be with for the 4 game drives. Back to Knysna for an overnight stop and then Stellenbosch for a whole day and then flight back from Cape Town at 10.40 pm. Overall a great experience made stress free by Kerry's superb organisation.

Extremely professional company, outstanding service on private tour itineray, very client minded team
5/5

Three weeks ago we have been travelling for the second time in Uganda (period 10/2011 & 02/2014) with our preferred Matoke tours travel agent due to their professional knowledge , assistance and cooperation . Each time , one of their selected private driver/guide such as Big Sam or Alfred contributed to great memories being taken home to Belgium, every detailed travelling program has been completed without any negative experiences , unexpected events , any disturbances or any claims during or after our tour. Matoke team members in The Netherlands (Holland) and Kampala do contribute spontaneously on free upgrading advises in order to satisfy their clients the upmost towards the final itinerary , the revised quotations in order to prepare and proposing the printed order . To us , Matoke tours has a variety of opportunities of which you can choose the preferred accommodations as budget , medium upgrade or very luxury stays. Another flexible advantage , you are able to select your flights yourselves or they take care of the flights both ways . We are thinking already to contact the Matoke tours office once again with regard to future plans on safari tours in Tanzania , focus on south parks such as Selous +Mikuti + Ruaha and afterwards relaxing on the coast site as an extended beach accommodation for a few days. Outstanding job guys keep the good work going on and once again many thanks for your contribution on preparing a very detailed and outlined daily program within estimated travelling times and agreed financial budget .
Their 4WD vehicles are very well maintained and each driver/guide is very safety minded on the roads without taking any risks , he does show an outstanding responsibility attitude every day , we love them so much ......thanks to you guys as well.

Best time to visit Botswana

Botswana is a beautiful country. If it's wildlife spotting you're after, try the Chobe National Park - it's the country's second-largest national park. Summer lasts between November and March so I would recommend going outside of those months as it can get extremely hot. Have a look here for more advice on the best time to visit - http://www.safaribookings.com/botswana/best-time

Amazing Safari Lodge and Battlefield tours from reputable Tour Company
5/5

Pembury Tours were superb from start to finish and very professional throughout. We stayed at Umzolozolo Lodge for three days which was fantastic, the staff and rangers were so friendly and very informative, and we went on brilliant game drives to see all the game.
We also stayed at Isandlwana Lodge which was really lovely and did the Battlefield tours with Rob Gerrard who was so informative and very passionate.
Finally we visited Cleopatras Mountain Farmhouse which was a gourmet delight with lovely staff and a peaceful retreat with great mountain walks.
We will definitely use Pembury Tours again for our next adventure!
