Carefree adventure
5/5

We went to Tanzania in august 2014 with our family. The trip started for us at the first contact with Magda Vrijs. From that moment on we had a great time with the preparation of the trip. For us it was important that we could discuss our wishes and combine it with the ideas of Flash safari's. So it became a trip that was exactly what we hoped for.
We had a very kind guide who was helpfull and patient. Thanks to his 'good eyes' and knowledge of the nature, we did see a lot of beautiful things.
The lodges we have been were al very good. The staff was very helpful and the service was great. We met Magda and her businesspartner several times and we had a good time with them. It was all very relaxed.
If I think back and try to think about anything what could have been better, I realy do no know what to say. It was perfect organized and the people of Flash safaris where very kind and warm.
We could make this trip with our kids, because the prices were reasonable. So we would surely recommend Flash safaris to other people who have plans to go to beautiful Tanzania!

Superb service, awesome expertise and a fantastic tour - highly recommended!

Me and my wife went on a trip to Victoria Falls, the Chobe River, Linyanti Swamps, the Okavango Delta and the Makgadikgadi Pans earlier this year and the memories of that fantastic trip and still fresh and overwhelming. By writing this short review we would like to thank Steffi and Mark of Gondwana Tours & Safaris for making this journey of our lifetime possible.
Steffi, Mark and their team did an incredible job from our very first chat on the phone until we departed back to Germany. The planning took a few months and Steffi was patient and professional in every single moment. We could always contact her at any time - regardless how minor our questions seemed to be. Her knowledge about every region and every single camp was almost unbelievable. It gave us a very pleasant feeling to deal with somebody that has actually seen all the places personally and who was able to let us know about even the smallest details.
The final itinerary was eventually just perfect regarding our time, budget and personal desires. If ever a trip deserved the word "tailor-made" it was ours planned by Steffi.
Our Safari was absolutely stunning from the first day to the last, everything went smoothly and well, all the transfers worked out perfectly, all the camps were amazing, we had unforgettable game drives and simply the time of our lifes. Steffi, Mark and their team were available 24h for us during the trip - which we used when we had a little language barrier with one of the camp managers. We called Steffi quite late in the evening and she kindly helped us by translating on the phone.
Gondwana Tours & Safaris is a fantastic operator with personal service and outstanding knowledge. They truly are Africa experts and we can only recommend them to anybody who wants to experience an amazing African holiday.

Tanzania is special

Tanzania is a really amazing place to visit. We did a safari for 6 days into the Serengeti and Ngorongoro, we saw absolutely everything there was to see in terms of wildlife (not sure about birds as that wasn’t our focus). Outside the parks, the country is very poor and you do see a lot of evidence of that which can be upsetting to some to see, but it’s real and shouldn’t be ignored. The country is beautiful and definitely worth your time!

the safari in tanzania was a marvelous human adventure but you have to be in great shape, you spend hours locked up in the 4*4.
The locals are very welcoming and we are happy to discover their great diversity. The fauna is varied, very present although often asleep.
I was surprised by the rather cool temperature in August, the pools in the Serengeti are difficult to swim. the evening atmosphere in the camps is captivating.

We have a trip with 6 adults and 5 children. We travelled with 2 jeeps en 2 great drivers. They were so kind to us and the children. They enjoyed there company. We made a trip to Lake Natron, Masai area. We stayed in Lake Natron tented camp where the Masai people work. Then we drived further to our project, a secondary school in Sale. Our drivers translated the Swahili language so we can communicated with the local children and teachers. Afther that we make a long and beautifull tour to the Serengeti where we slept for 2 nights. Our last stay was in Karatu, the Country lodge. Thank you Frankie and Melekjean for a wonderfull trip through a beautifull part of Tanzania. And thank you Magda and Edward voor the operational things you arranged for us. We enjoyed every minute and every place we have visit.

Amboseli National Park was beautiful – diverse wildlife and landscape. Immediately saw zebras, lions, elephants, hippos, ostriches, and wildebeests. Highly recommend. Long day trip to/from Nairobi, but doable.

Safari was well prepared and at a good price considering that all 5 of us enjoyed each of the lodges

I am a biologist from Australia and this was my 8th African Safari so I helped my 4 colleagues to choose the best destinations with a reliable company. We found that the manageress, Magda, kept in regular contact with us and provided lodges and luxury camp site that were all very good. Overall I would say it was excellent value for money. We would recommend Flash Safaris and Photography for a wildlife African Safari.

That was my first time on safari and it was amazing and unforgettable. I met wonderful people, I enjoyed every second of being there and coming closer to the bush. The whole atmosphere was unique, all the people working there are incredible. I really appreciate all their time and effort of walking with us, accompanying us everywhere, being attentive to us and being polite. They are real humans!

About: Tanzania
Breathtaking, grounding, great energy, going back to a Pole Pole life
Overall rating
5/5

Our experience in Tanzania with Colours Africa Tours exceeded our expectations. We had the best guide, his passion about wildlife and Tanzania is highly contagious!

We chose the 3 days safari (Tarangire, Ngorongoro, Hot Springs in Chemka): there is not one day where our mind wasn't blown away.

The animals, the landscapes, the energy, the people...

Zanzibar was our dream, we decided to make the most of the trip and also spend these three days in Tanzania.
It was the best decision. We felt so small in front of the immensity of untouched nature. The beauty, the serenity, the majesty of the animals, the silence... it made us feel grounded, connected to the world somehow.

The people from Tanzania made us feel welcome, every day and everywhere. The human experience was incredible, we learned a lot, we shared a lot and we came back richer in the mind.
There is something about Zanzibar, coming from an island, we felt it again there: whatever you do, you will want to come back. It's magnetic, it's powerful...it's life made so much simpler.

"Pole pole" is one of the words we will remember. We took the time, we paused from our frenetic Western European lifestyle.
We will never forget about Tanzania, asante sana for the love.
