From the Maasai Mara to the Northern Serengeti ,Ngorongoro Crater and finishing in Zanzibar.

I would recommend African Ubuntu Safaris without any hesitation. We planned and booked our recent Safaris in Kenya and Tanzania using Ubuntu. Communication was fantastic and prompt and we organized a relatively complicated Itinerary via email with only one or two telephone conversations. Our safaris were fantastic .We loved the camps that we had chosen( with advice from Cuan from Ubuntu) and everything went to plan. There were no hiccups ,from airport pick ups and tranfers ,to light plane travel between camps . Our Safaris provided us with exactly the kind of experience we were hoping for. This showed great understanding and a wealth of knowledge on behalf of Ubuntu to be able to plan and provide us with safaris that were specific to our expectations. I have and will continue to recommend African Ubuntu Safaris to anyone planning to visit Africa .

Your company exceeded all our expectations. Your arrangements were professional and efficient, we never had to wait for a pick up or drop off and your recommendations for activities were exactly what we had hoped for. I would recommend this company to anyone looking to travel to the falls....

Good, cost effective trip to Kilimanjaro

Karibuworld organised my entire trip to Kilimanjaro. They managed to get the best value for me and our group. Everything was well organised and taken care of. I had a truly brilliant Kilimanjaro experience and I'd like to thank Karibuworld for making that possible.

Exceeded every expectation!
5/5

From the minute I chose to book a safari for my husband and I with Makasa, I was not disappointed! In fact, I was truly blown away by the care and attention Selma took in planning our safari, and keeping in touch with me throughout the whole process, including matching us up with another traveller to share our safari experience with and reduce our overall cost.

The night before our safari commenced, we stayed at MCF Kilimanjaro Lodge, and were lucky enough to meet Selma, her husband Ngomi and their beautiful children. It was obvious to see how passionate they are about Tanzania and the Safari industry. We were made to feel very welcome, like part of the family really! It was the perfect start to our week - beers on the deck amidst the picturesque gardens, complementary snacks, and delicious, home-cooked meals. All staff at K-Lodge were super friendly and made sure that our night there was a comfortable one!

Below is a copy of the email I sent Selma after our safari - I think it sums up our feelings about Makasa:

Hi Selma,

I am just writing to say thank you so much from Tom and I for the most wonderful experience with Makasa!

Firstly, Peter, our safari guide, was an absolute legend! We got along with him so well, and he worked overtime to make sure that we didn't miss out on anything. We felt like we had the best guide in the whole of Tanzania. He was very well-informed about the animals we saw and the places we visited, he had an answer to every one of our millions of questions, and he was a complete gentleman, and made sure that we didn't go without anything! He really must be commended for the outstanding job he did whilst on our safari - we couldn't possibly have asked for any more from our guide!

Esther was a blast - we're really glad we were able to share our experience with her. We shared the same interests and had a lot of laughs along the way. We are currently missing our safari family of Peter and Esther very much!

The parks were a spectacle within themselves. Our favourite day was a 5am start to drive to the northern entrance of the Serengeti. We felt like the only car in the whole place, and we really had a chance to get up close and personal with the animals.

The accommodation exceeded our expectations like you wouldn't believe. After a night at Olpopongi, the luxury of Rhotia Valley Tented Lodge was very much welcomed. Kenzan lodge was very comfortable, and the service was amazing, as with all of our accommodations.
By far, our favourite accommodation was Endoro Lodge. We felt very lucky to experience such luxury basically in the middle of nowhere. The staff there were absolutely outstanding, and made us feel like family. The rooms were spectacular and the food was scrumptious!

All in all, we had the week of a lifetime! The itinerary was perfect and we honestly wouldn't change a thing! We really appreciated having the first night at Olpopongi, as it allowed us or understand and appreciate the Maasai way of life, as we encountered many more Maasai along the way. The group at Olpopongi were exceptional, and we had a really meaningful experience there (along with amazing food).

I have already started recommending Makasa to people we have met in Arusha, because I don't think that the package you arranged for us could have been beaten!

Thank you again, Selma and Ngomi, it was really lovely to meet you and your family.

Kind regards,

Claire and Tom Green

An amazing experience!
5/5

My experience with Tanganyika Ancient Routes was so much more than I could have ever imagined. Tanzania is such a beautiful country with friendly people, wildlife and so much culture. We traveled throughout many of Tanzania's parks and were constantly seeing interesting wildlife- I never thought we would see as much as we did. The non-stop wildlife viewing kept us entertained the entire time, but my favorite part was learning about the people. Our drivers went out of their way to reach us about the native tribes, and the Swahili language and customs. I loved building friendships with the drivers and learning from them. I would recommend traveling in a group for this trip. We traveled with 10 people and it was perfect. The accommodations were stunning (especially the luxury camps) and I felt very safe the entire time! Service and staff were excellent throughout. This trip is one I'll never forget and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

Met all expectations
5/5

You definitely need a guide on this tour. Charles and his team were exceptional as guides, drivers, and game spotters. I felt as though they were looking out for our entire family and group at all times. They in fact almost seemed like family by the end of the trip. We saw the Big 5 and Little 5. They were a wealth of knowledge about the animals, parks, and culture. I had total confidence in them during this trip. We did on drive with an outside driver that was complimentary from a Lodge and Charles, Zebi, and Charles were clearly better communicators and more adept at the game drives. The luxury tents were excellent. You won't be sorry that you booked with this operator.

Tanganyika Ancient Routes provided a complete safari experience down to the last detail.
5/5

We trusted Charles and Pam of Tanganyika Ancient Routes to plan our "trip of a lifetime" and they far exceeded all expectations. Their thorough and thoughtful plan for our group of ten travelers was perfect. They guided us through the flights, trip insurance, immunization, and visa procedures for our travelers from four countries. We were welcomed by Charles and his team at the airport and from that point on they handled every detail of our trip. All we had to do was pick what to eat from the many gourmet meals offered to us. Travel in the safari vehicles was delightful as our knowledgable guides taught us about the flora and fauna in each park and about the natural resources and people of beautiful Tanzania. They even taught us some Swahili words, phrases and songs and soon became our friends. The highlight of the trip was the wildlife in the national parks as we saw all of the "big five" and many more animals up close. Many of our accomodations were within the parks so that even at night we had these beautiful wild animals roaming right near our tents! Through it all we were always made to feel safe and comfortable. Words cannot express my appreciation of the care that Charles took to ensure the best experiences on our trip. I would not hesitate to plan future adventures with Charles, Pam and Tanganyika Ancient Routes and am happy to support a Tanzanian owned and managed company.

Dream Kenyan Safari
5/5

I originally located Africa Safari Classics through the Safari Bookings website. Subsequent email communications with Maurice at Africa Safari Classics then increased my confidence in pursuing a booking. Any concerns or questions I had raised throughout the booking process were answered promptly and confidently.
Accommodation recommendations made by Maurice enhanced our safari experience & itinerary changes were made easily
The 4x4 was comfortable and enabled great game viewing. Game drives were enhanced by the experience, driving skill, driving care and knowledge of our Driver/Guide Nicholas. He, amazingly, seemed to know his way around all the game parks and his game observation skills and dedication to finding us the best sightings possible was most appreciated. Our safari was unbelievable in every way, largely due to the quality of Nicholas’ guiding.
Would most definitely use ASC if we ever returned to East Africa and have no hesitation in recommending ASC to anybody…in fact I would strongly recommend anybody use ASC and am happy to communicate this to any future clients.
I believe the entire safari experience is dependent on the organisation of the safari company and the quality of the guide. Africa Safari Classics surpassed expectations on both counts, resulting in a dream safari for my parents and I – they still haven’t stopped talking about it and I cannot thank Maurice and Nicholas enough for that.
