kenya-uganda-gorillatrecking-tanzania-kenya
Hey we are a couple (29 - 31 years). We booked an individual 16 days safari with a lot of different national parks in kenya uganda and tanzania and gorilla trecking. Because we prefered some more comfortable hotels, we chosed the hotels by our self, which was no problem.Of course it was a little bit more expensive. Also with the route we spoke to Mr Otieno and made an individual route, so we could see everything we wanted. On our trip we had 3 different guides, all of them more less likeable and good driver and guides. We saw all of the wildlife we dreamed of and the gorilla trecking was every dollar worth. All in all the price was very fair but you allways have to look that you do not get cheated. If there are any problems - and of course in africa are some- Mr Otieno and the guides alway try their best to solve them. For those who can not handle with stress I would recommend an more expensive tour organized by an european compamy. If you are relaxed and you can handle with problems I can recommend kenya walking survivors.
Thanks a lot to Mr Otieno and hiy team

Great adventures come with small, local safari tours!
Selecting a small, local safari company was a goal of ours but nerve racking at the same time. Effort was made to obtain references from others that had gone before us. Earthlife's itinerary from the get go was exactly what we wanted. They catered to our desires, which was important given that this was a trip of a lifetime for my family. We traveled with our 2 young daughters (13 and 10). My only recommendation would be continued dialogue up to the day of your journey. We were surprised when our guide wasn't the person that Earthlife had identified early on. That being said, the guide who led us through this adventure (Aggrey) was amazing! We couldn't have asked for a better fit for our family. He taught us so much about animal behavior and the Tanzanian culture. I would highly recommend Aggrey.

Unforgettable Safari experience and a very relaxed holiday ending at Zanzibar
We have had a lifetime experience with the Safari tour, as arranged by Flash Safaris. Our 'eagles-eye' guide William, who was very dedicated, with high expertise and had much attention for our 3 kids, took us to the amazing wildlife and landscapes of the Lake Manyare NP, Serengeti NP, NgoroNgoro and Tarangire NP.
We enjoyed the stays in the Tented Logdes, in which the staff took care of delicious fresh meals, nice camp fires and secure nights.
We had the opportunity to stay at the Rothia Valley lodge and childrens home, where we have been touched emotionally by the initiative to give the orphans of Rothia a new future with care and education. Also the visit to the Iraqw family in Rothia was very impressive.
The last part of our holidays we spent at Zanzibar, in the Ocean Paradise Resort. A beautiful resort with very customer friendly staff. We didn't want to get back home.
Thank you Magda, Edward and the Flash Safaris team for the splendid organisation and support to make this experience in Tanzania and Zanzibar unforgettable.

Jocky Tours showed me God's Own Den !!!
Hi,
I am from India and my long time wish to visit Kenya finally happened with the help of Ms. Minneh and Jocky Tours.
In India, the state Kerala is also called as "God's own country". Similarly, I call Kenya as "God's own Den".
We went to Kenya for 10 days. The itinerary was planned by ourself and Jocky Tours helped us to fine tune it. 4 days in Masai Mara, 5th day drive to Nakuru and on the way we visited Lake Naivasha, 6th day - Lake Nakuru, 7th day drive to Aberdare and on the way visit Thompson Falls - stay at The Ark. 8th day - drive to Amboseli. 9th day - full day Amboseli safari. 10th day - drive back to airport.
Ms. Minneh was very responsive to all our mails and replied very well to all our queries. The driver/guide she assigned to us was very good and always in an enthu to take us out on safari. The vehicle she provided was also good. The picnic lunch that she arranged were a real picnic lunch in the middle of the national park and were very filling.
This trip has left me wanting to go back once again to Kenya. Maybe, next time I plan to visit Samburu National Park and Sweetwaters.
Asante Sana (Thank you so much in Swahili)

Considering Caracal Tours? Stop considering and start booking!
If you are reading this, it's because you are thinking of booking a safari with Caracal Tours & Safaris. You should stop reading and start booking - you will not regret it!
To start, the great thing about Caracal is that it is operated by a husband and wife team, so there is great communication and collaboration to build your dream safari. We really wanted to go to the Northern Serengeti to try and see the wildebeest migration in August and Marion helped us build a customized itinerary that allowed us to do so. She was incredibly honest and easy to consult with during the booking process and answered all sorts of questions. Marion is Dutch and has her PhD as a medical researcher in Tanzania- this means she understands the questions and concerns that westerners have coming to Tanzania and can answer them all.
Ben, her husband, primarily runs the safaris. Ben grew up in the Arusha area, so you are taking a safari in his back yard. He's a very professional driver and incredibly friendly and nice. Once you get to know him, he's also very funny and constantly making jokes. For instance, we always joked with Ben that we wanted to see animals (specifically cats) in trees, but the joke became a bit absurd when we started telling Ben to find us elephants climbing trees. Ben played along and was quick to respond to these jokes, which really helps when you remember you are spending a long time together! It wasn't always about joking around; we often wanted to get Ben's honest opinion on Tanzanian life, politics, tribes, etc and he was always willing to answer the questions honestly.
The small size of the company meant that Ben and Marion were always willing to accommodate special requests for the agenda and I suggest chatting extensively with them to book the safari of your dreams. For instance, I would strongly suggest making space in your budget to travel to the northern Serengeti as it was spectacular and very different from the central Serengeti that most people visit.
Finally, when you book with Caracal, you are getting far more than just a safari and animal experience. I did not expect to get such an amazing cultural immersion and experience and it was life changing to spend time with the local Tanzanians. Caracal Tours did a fantastic job balancing the animal viewing with the cultural experience!

An amazing, unforgettable experience!
We spent just over a week with Ima, visiting Tarangire, Ngorongoro crater, Serengeti and Lake Natron as a family of 4 (kids 15 and 10 yrs), and it was fantastic. Ima is really friendly and his knowledge of the flora and fauna of Tanzania is apparently limitless; he would always have unusual facts to impart about a plant or animal we'd just seen. He finds all the best bits of animal action in the parks and always lets you stay as long as you like looking at particular animals or sights. His chef Godfrey catered for us fussy eaters brilliantly, providing excellent spreads of varied food every day. Geographic Safaris' prices are also the best value in the country- our host in Dar Es Salaam said he'd never heard of such a good deal and that he was now tempted to go himself! All in all it was an unmissable experience and we can't wait to go back.

An unforgettable experience
We chose the 3 days Selous Safari (my husband and I....incidentally, even though it was just the 2 of us, the price remained the same) and the whole experience was amazing, Yussuf was great with the initial booking and communication, everything I asked was explained promptly by return email, and once on the road, our driver/guide Michael was very knowledgeable, very patient, answering our 101 questions, very courteous and friendly, the river safari on the first day by sunset was brilliant, the second day driving around in the jeep, Michael could spot the animals when we couldn't even see them with our binoculars! The bush hike on the last day with our bush guide (Cessi?) and ranger was very interesting, we felt safe the whole time and I was even impressed with the food at Camp Hippo, I had specified that I didn't eat meat and the camp chef made some lovely dishes just for me...thanks Ernest for running such a lovely spot on the Rufiji River...even the 5 hours drive back to Dar Es Salaam was ok as there was so much to see. Thank you all at Bushroutes, it was a memorable journey!

Amazing experience - insightful guide, excellent sightings, fabulous food, lovely group.
From beginning to end this was one truly amazing holiday. Madi our travel consultant put together a really special holiday for us. Victoria Falls where we did white water rafting and devil's pool, staying in the lovely Ilala lodge, Capetown with Table Mountain and Robben Island staying in the fabulous Rouge en Rose and Kruger National Park where Simon guided us through an amazing 3 day safari (seeing all big 5 in one day), educated, entertained and fed us. We were met by friendly, knowledgeable and helpful WildWings staff at each stage of the journey. David taught us the 8 countries surrounding Zambia, Shaun welcomed us warmly in Capetown and Simon was our 5 star guide. Honestly this was a fantastic holiday and I would recommend WildWings to everyone looking for a safari holiday with a difference. Thank you WildWings.
