Tanzania was marvelous
5/5

Thanks a lot Matoke Tours, our tour in Tanzania was SUPER!!! we had to do nothing but enjoying, everything was excelent organised.
Our guide was the best ever, thanks Lawrence.
We have seen everything you can dream, 99 lions for instance, nobody can believe this, but it is true.
3 leopards, 3 cheeta's, wild dogs, you name it. A lion hunting on a warthog ( and he got it ), fighting elephants, fightings grirafs, sometimes we had the suspicion, our guide was telepathic, he could see what would happen, almost every time.
Ofcourse we have seen the big 5, we are travelling every year to Africa, but this was the best, we have never seen this, it was the best organised the most exciting travel ever,I don't have words enough to discribe !!!!!!!!!!

excellent, reliable, informative and professional safari group!
5/5

My father and I booked our safari through matoke tours in November/December 2014. We booked pretty last minute and changed our itinerary several times. Juma was able to accommodate our requests and changes every time and was very professional and super punctual about getting back to all my emails. Our safari in northern Tanzania was great. Our guide and driver, Gilbert was super friendly, professional. safe and could answer all of our (many) questions about everything! I would definitely recommend Matoke tours, and particularly Gilbert for any tours. We had no problems and had a wonderful safari! All the accommodation and staff at the hotels were really great as well. Thank you Matoke tours and Gilbert!

An amazing safari!
5/5

We had a very good week on the safari.
We contacted Kenya walking Sunday and Thursday morning we started the safari
Mr.Otieno was very quick to answer the emails even on Sunday's. We also changed the trip a bit so it fit to what we wanted to see. Even in the middle off the trip we wanted to go to a different place, we just call mr Otieno and changed it. It was so flexible, we have never experienced that before.
The cook made nice food and the driver did everything he could so we could have the best experience with the animals. The only thing was that we had to ask him about the animals, he didn't just tell about them himself.

Private trip Uganda
5/5

We have been on a short trip to Uganda in November. Because the short time Matoke tours made custom program for us, with just a few things on our list Matoke understood perfectly what we would like to do. Kibale forest, Bwindi, Ngamba Island. We had our own driver who was very nice and did a excellent job. The hotels where we stayed where lovely. Great staff at all places. The comfort was real high, so we could relax at the lodges we stayed.
We miss the wake up call with coffee at home!
The trips where a succes. At Bwindi we received the greatest gift after visit our Gorilla family on our way down hill we meet a second family of Gorilla's.
And Ngamba Island, what a unique experience!! Sleeping on the Island and making the forest walk with the Chimps. What a way to end your holiday.

Thanks for all the good care!

Front Row Seats to a Lion Family's Dinner
5/5

Breakdown Safaris exceeded every expectation I had for my first safari experience. The safari was customized perfectly to meet my small group's needs. Prior to the safari, I was unsure how I would appreciate Breakdown Safaris' staff. Fanuel proved to be an excellent guide. He worked perfectly in tune with his clientele. He knew exactly when to add educational commentary, but he also knew when the diverse flora and fauna spoke for themselves. I will never forget when Fanuel explained the at-times symbiotic relationship between the yellow baboons and the impala. Immediately after he explained the darker side of this relationship (when the baboons steal the baby impalas and eat them), we watched a baboon start chasing a young impala across the dry riverbed. With Kathy's expert driving, we followed the chase closely and witnessed the baboon lose his future meal to a lion who finished the kill. We then had front row seats to a family dinner as a cub and two lionesses shared the meat. This was only one of the wonderful moments on our safari in Rouha National Park. We saw more animals than I knew lived in the park and shared many laughable, delicious and impossible to recreate moments. The only complaint I can honestly think of is that time went too fast; I wish the safari never had to end. Contrary to the name, Breakdown Safaris did not breakdown but instead was executed without a hitch. If you're looking to take a ride on the wild side with a crew it feels like you have known for years, Breakdown Safaris is for you.

I highly recommend Gorilla Trek Africa.
5/5

I can't say enough praise about Gorilla Trek Africa. Nicolas is prompt and professional in coresponding. Our guide Rogers is an EXCELLENT guide! He is courteous, informative and a very safe driver. We asked him a million questions about history, present day life, the animals, etc... We learned a tremendous amount from Rogers. I've been on many other tours and haven't always has this high level of service. We had an important parcel get lost thru our Rwandair flight. Nicolas and his coworkers spent days tracking it down. If you are looking for a guide service to the gorillas, chimps, Rwanda or Uganda I would recommend looking no further and booking with Gorilla Trek Africa. You will be impressed. Oh and the gorillas and chimpanzees were amazing!

The Trip of a Lifetime- A Wonderful Experience We Will Never Forget
5/5

My wife and I just returned from THE trip of a lifetime. This was much
more than just another African Safari tour. We were introduced to Renny, a
native Tanzanian, running her own family Safari travel agency in New
Rochelle, NY. Whenever my wife called with questions about the trip (and
there were many), she spoke directly with Renny. What a pleasure not
having to speak with a different agent every time we needed information.
The best part, aside from the outstanding service, was the recommendation
of a Private Safari. We had our own exclusive, experienced, tour-drive
guide everyday. I would highly recommend Asante Safaris to all of my
friends. Costs were very similar to other safari vacations we priced out,
but they provided us with additional personal service both before and
during our trip.
Everything was customized to our needs. The lodges & tented camps were all
top quality and Renny had personal knowledge of where we should stay
according to our location. The trip was more than just safari everyday.
Interspersed was a flavor of east African culture. Renny knows Africa!
Important to me was seeing the wildebeest migration and river crossing
like you see on National Geographic. We traveled in September and the
wildebeest aren't in the Serengeti that time of year. She personalized our
trip to begin in Kenya at Masai Mara Game Reserve to witness the crossing.
When we needed to get to a distant location, we would fly local African
airlines instead of wasting a whole day with a long 6+hour jeep ride. We
saw everything, and up close. Lions, elephants, cape buffalo, leopards,
giraffes, zebra, wildebeest, warthogs, hippos, rare birds and much more.
Sometimes we were no more than 5 feet away (in our Land Rover) from a
pride of lions sleeping off a recently finished meal. We did the hot air
balloon ride over the Serengeti, visited a Masai village and our last
afternoon a private Hippo boat ride on the Rafiji River in Selous.
Renny and Asante Safaris made our trip an experience we will never forget!

A Personalized and Authentic Experience!!
5/5

This was my 3rd safari with Warrior Trails and each one keeps getting better and better. The trip was customized and personalized for our small group. From the first inquiry I knew that Warrior Trails was a winner!! Responsiveness from the first e-mail until the end of our trip was superb! The food and accommodation facilities at each lodge was unsurpassed. Our driver and guide enhanced our adventure by going out of his way to ensure that we had the very best safari experience possible. The vehicle was really comfortable and we all had a perfect seat for viewing the animals and incredible landscapes. Each evening our guide would review the next day activities and options and the day was organized to meet our needs. Our safari with Warrior Trails far exceeded our expectations and we keep going back for more!!
I highly recommend adding a little time to visit Makuyuni primary school and the Maasai village and people there. It is truly an unforgettable and authentic experience.
