A great safari experience
5/5

Booking the tour was very easy, and we were able to do it relatively last minute, and the booking agent even arranged to come to our hotel to take care of everything. As for the safari itself, 3 days, 2 nights was perfect to see Mikumi, and we got to see almost everything that we wanted. Our guide was very knowledgeable, and easy-going, allowing us to dictate what we wanted to do while informing us of the best ways to see everything. The vehicle itself was very nice and allowed for easy viewing of all the wildlife. The accommodations were perfect. Overall, it's a great mid-range safari company.

Fantastic Safari
5/5

My safari experience with Afrishare is hard to put into words. My safari was a five day trip that included both Ngorongoro and Serengeti as well as a great experience with a local Masai tribe. It was a wonderful experience that included seeing cheetahs, leopards, and lions due to our great guide along with delicious meals prepared by our cook. One of the highlights of my trip was camping out on the edge of Ngorongoro crater that was topped of by a friendly visit from a wild elephant during supper time. I would absolutely recommend Afrishare Safari's to anyone who is hoping to experience a great experience with no speed bumps.

Educational above expectations.
5/5

From the start till the end we learned so many things, and that wasn't unimportant. In any way. You can go to a safari and se animals, or you can go to safari and learn something, we did the later part. Most people don't, but if you want, to learn something, go with these guyes. If you dont, try any leapord-colored truck, it might serve you...

Weekend Safari to Ngorongoro Crater, and Tarangire National Park!
5/5

The safari was amazing! We got to see all the animals that were expected, and even more! The parks are stunning, and Pristine Trails Adventures were fabulous. They picked us up, were safe drivers, the jeep was clean and well kept, and our driver/tour guide Vincent was a great spotter, and was fun! If I ever come back to Kilimanjaro, I would defiantly do another trip with Pristine, and I would recommend it to my friends and family.

Well organised, fantastic experiences and the big 5!
5/5

Roho Ya Chui were fantastic in organising a bespoke Sabi Sands and Kruger NP tour which was tailored to fit my requirements. Ute was great in communicating and organising all the tours and accommodation - I did not need to worry about a thing. The safari experience was amazing. I love doing amateur photography - I was able to get some fantastic shots of the big 5 and a plethora of other game. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and were able to get to some great spots. All in all - it was a fantastic experience!

They made us have an unforgettable African mountaineering expedition experience!!!
5/5

If you accept that you're not in Europe or USA, are flexible with timing and can live the Hakuna Matata pace of African life, then this is an affordable, excellent, reliable organization. Our contact person was Noah Kuti, he was extremely friendly and flexible in his schedule (we had to (last minute) postpone our trip because one of our family members was sick-no problem!). Although we sometimes we worried whether it all worked out, he gave us his word to reimburse some money that we paid too much in advance, and he kept it! (albeit, as said, the Hakuna Matata way, several weeks later).
We went with a family of 5 up Kilimanjaro, whiskey route, so we got some 15 porters, 3 guides and one cook. They took really good care of us, two of us suffered altitude sickness at the last camp, and they made sure those two descended safe and sound. The other three made it to the top and were thrilled about reaching it. Just make sure you have enough dollars, you need all that cash, and we discovered you can virtually endlessly tap it in small portions (around 300 USD per take) from money machines, so you end up with a whole pile of bills, and probably a phone call from the credit card company who suspects that you have been robbed... Those bills come out fine when proparing the tip for the porters, we gave each indivudual an envelop with their tip, worked out very well. In hindsight...well, as this was one of the cheapest organisers don't expect bungalowtents, and actually for me (1.92 m tall) the small tent in the mud was sometimes a stretch, as was the cold wind that blew straight through it (invest in warm sleeping bags!!!) All in all, I would choose them again fir a next adventure!

FANTASTIC
5/5

Booked via Secret Escapes and then Somak took over. From the time they did, I emailed almost daily to get more details about the trip (first time in Africa :-)) and I got prompt, polite and helpful answers.
The Masai Mara camp was just perfect with our driver Francis and a lovely lady Elizabeth taking us around every day. The hot air balloon was a unique experience. Everyone was just perfect. On our way to Zanzibar we stopped at the Somak lounge in Nairobi were we were warmly greated, it was clean and very comfortable. We met a manager there based in London called Justin Coles and he was also very nice and gave a lot of good information about our trip, safaris and Africa over all.
Zanzibar was the second part of our trip. There is nothing to say apart that it was perfect. The resort was lovely and the rooms and all areas of the place were spotless. Our driver Suleman was also very nice and very knowledgable. Our guide was also very nice. What else to say: it was a perfect birthday treat and I will come back with my two daughters when they are old enough and I will use SOMAK!
Thank you thank you thank you I will never forget my 40th birthday xxxxx

Travelling with you for over 25 years
5/5

I am a professional photographer and I have traveled annually to Kenya with Somak for over 25 years. Have a look at Images of Africa at www.lenzman.com There is no comparison, an excellent service from both the UK based team and all the staff in Kenya. I would not travel with anyone else. A special thanks should be awarded to Ms Barbara Lowe in the UK for her expertise and outstanding help over many years.
