Exceeded expectations for an unforgettable trip
5/5

We spent five days with Ernest and there were 5 people in our group. From start to finish Ernest was very professional and it is obvious that he is passionate about his job which made the trip so much more enjoyable. We spent the first day in Tarangire and stayed in a lodge in Karatu that evening.
Ernest walked us around the local market and discussed some of the local produce. We then went for a local dinner which we all really enjoyed and thought that this was a nice touch. The following day we went to Serengeti and spent two nights camping there. The last night was spent camping on the rim of Ngorongoro Crater and we descended the crater the following day. We also visited a Maasai village which again, is something a little extra and shows that they really try to give you a proper taste of Tanzania.

During our five-day trip we saw approximately 40 lions, some cheetahs, rhinos, leopards, elephants and many other animals. One of the people in our group was interested in bird watching and Ernest made sure to point out and describe many birds. He really catered to everyone's interests.
Throughout our trip it felt as though we were taking part in a wildlife documentary because we were so close to the animals! Having done a Safari from Arusha a few years ago, this one was a million times better! Highly recommend this company!

Great service, great people, great safari!
4/5

I booked the 9-Day safari trip to Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha, Amboselli, Tsavo West and East and loved every minute of it. My budget wasn't that big and Celestine, the owner, offered a very affordable itinerary along some of the best parks and reserves in Kenya. I booked the standard package and found the first nights in Mara, where I slept at Lenchada tented camp brilliant. I love to go camping and this place is beautiful, just don't expect brand new beds and scolding hot showers. Back to basics, but I love that. It did made me realize that instead of the hotels they booked for me that were in the city (Nakuru, Naivasha and Voi) I actually wanted to sleep in nature as much as possible. When I asked Celestine to see if she could change the accommodations mid-trip, she immediately offered me other options and provided great service. She and guide John found great alternative spots that same day which really enhanced my trip. So, a big 'thank you' to them both! If you are planning a safari, please don't hesitate to ask them for more details about your accommodations. It's good to know the places you will go and stay beforehand and ask yourself if that is what you're looking for. I'm sure they can arrange whatever requests you have, and really want you to have the best possible experience. My trip was great and I certainly recommend Adventure Backpackers for your safari. A special shout-out to John, my guide, who was great company! I spent 6 days with him in a mini van, so I should know. John is very knowledgeable about the parks, the animals and their behaviour and made sure I got some really great shots is. Beside that, he's funny and keeps up with what goes on in the world, so you're never bored. Thanks again John and Celestine!

Extremely Enjoyable 3 day - 2 night Safari
5/5

The communication throughout the process from the initial enquiry right through to the day before we were collected was quick and detailed. We were given a number of options of which areas to explore and different accommodation types prior to booking and everything was organised for us by Ryan and Thale.

We flew in from the UK and stayed overnight in a hotel close to the OR Tambo airport, Ryan then collected us from the hotel the following morning and we drove to Kruger (with a stop off halfway for 15 minutes), arriving at Skukuza just after 1pm.

When we arrived at Kruger mid afternoon, Ryan sent us off to grab some lunch whilst he went and checked us into our accommodation. When we returned around 2.30pm our luggage was already in the room and we were then took on an afternoon safari, seeing a large number of animals and birds.

Evening meal was BBQ steak and salad cooked outside the accommodation by Ryan and his assistant which was excellent and we sat chatting and drinking the local wines under the stars.

Morning 2 consisted of an early start where we saw most of the Big 5 and Ryan cooked us bacon and eggs breakfast at a picnic area overlooking the river, watching the monkeys play. A good long day of exploring, seeing many of the animals and birds. We then returned to the camp mid afternoon where we were left to chill out and top up the stock of beers and wine.

Again, a BBQ evening meal outside the accommodation where we were given ostrich sausages and a local veg dish which was good washed down with some local brew. We were then surprised to find out that Ryan had booked us on a night safari, a nice touch. We completed our Big 5 list on this night safari, seeing a leopard walking around the park, sadly we didn't take a camera.

Day 3 we again took an early morning safari, checked out of the accommodation and took a drive back to OR Tambo airport ready for our flight down to Cape Town.

The service we received from Ryan, Thale and the rest of the team was personal yet professional, and Ryan's knowledge of the animals and birds (mating habits/diets etc) was excellent and added to the experience we got from the trip.

I would certainly contact Wild Planet Safaris next time I am looking at exploring southern Africa's wildlife regions and would have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone looking to experience it.

Great experience! Would definitely recommend it to others!

Better late then never. When we got back from our trip, we more or less were sucked into normal life but thought many times of writing this review because we loved every minute of it and think back often. We went on a three day Safari with Afrishare and it was really great! We had a tight schedule of travelling and really wanted to do a safari. Because nobody had booked for the same period, Ibrahim did his best to find extra people which would lower the price (group instead of a private tour). Thankfully he found one extra person, so it was more or less a private tour for a group-tour price :) Ibraham was very helpful and quick in his replies always. In the very beginning, we actually remember that we were doubting if it was all real, as we read so many good reviews for this budget trip that we could not believe it was real. So we promised ourselves to mention this in our review for other people who have doubts like us. It is all true, the value for money, the food and accommodation and good safari-car with a great guide in it. Our guide and driver Fredy was really nice and explained us a lot. We felt in good hands and had a lot of fun together! We actually saw 4 of the big 5 :) Sadly the leopard wasn't willing to show himself :( The camp where we slept (Heaven Nature) was very good for a budget tour. More than we expected, we were actually surprised. Good tents and the shower was more or less warm. After dining a few drinks on the terrace to end the day (yes the sell beers!). We can truly recommend going on a safari trip with Afrishare! Thank you Ibrahim, Fredy and the cook (sorry forgot his name).

Loved this safari
5/5

This is my second time with SafariHub . I was so impressed with them on my first safari I had to come back. They did an awesome job of custom tailoring a safari my handicapped mother could enjoy. She addressed all of our concerns and was so informative and helpful with any questions we had. They also sewed a hole in one our duffle bags and opened the gift shop just for us. We got up close and personal with all of the African wildlife from an elephant nursing her baby to lions on a kill .Thank you Safarihub !

Fantastic experience and best guide ever
5/5

I searched the Internet for weeks trying to decided on the best safari that met are needs. As avid travelers we wanted to see as much as we could in the limit amount of time that we had. Romeo made it happen!!!! I told him our travel plan and within a few hours I had the details for a trip of a lifetime.

It is one thing to book the ultimate itenerary but it is another to have a guide that can make it the everything you had ever hoped for. We had such a guide. Amos was the most pleasant , easy going, eager to please person we could have ever hoped for. He was so patient with us as we waited for just the right picture. He always seemed to be at the right place at the right time and we benefited from his sharp eye and keen since of knowing where to go.

My wife writes a travel blog and you can see a glimpse of what we experienced. You can find great pictures and travel advice from this trip and 100's more at kimberlyleupo.com.

Don't waste your time searching anymore. You have, by good foutune, landed on the best safari outfitter in the area. BOOK IT!!!

Amazing!
5/5

Finished a 24 day tour/safari with earth life expeditions about two weeks ago. Deo was amazing from the start when we were first looking into everything. He tailor made an itinerary for us and included everything we wanted to an exceptional level. All the accomodation we stayed in was so luxurious we couldnt believe it. We had five days in Zanzibar and then the rest in mainland Tanzania, including the Serengeti, the ngorogoro crater and Ndutu national park. All of these locations were amazing and Aggrey our guide was so in tune with the surroundings and could easily spot animals far away that we had no idea were there. He is a credit to the earth life expeditions team. A small but trustworthy and quality company to book through!

Flawless Services ! Best Kenya & Tanzania Tour
5/5

Our trips arrangements started way back September last year, You have great services right from email communication to actual services on ground. We arrived at Nairobi airport late evening and were met by a warm reception followed by transfer to our overnight hotel. The following morning we received a briefing on the whole tour itinerary before we embarked on the tour, we had a great guide with a lot of experience and knowledge. We managed to see lots of animals and bird than we imagined, I remember at one point my wife who is bird lover when we were at Lake Nakuru park said " OMG! Africa has stolen my heart" She had seen lots of birds than she could imagine. Both Kenya and Tanzania has great number of animals and you definately will have much that you paid for , remember the success of your trip will entirely depend on your agent ground arrangement and quality of guide you will get.
We will definitely come back for another trip..
Thank you all at Trips Without Borders,You have passion for your job.

An Awesome Experience
5/5

My wife and I recommend James Mwere's services through MJ Safaris so very highly. We first met James when we were in Kampala about to break away from the group we came from Japan with (they were going back). We had some ideas of what we wanted to do for the rest of our time there. We had talked to a few different agencies and people in the tourist industry there, but we felt confused and apprehensive about how to go about things. But as soon as we discussed things with James, we were immediately comforted and assured by his prompt understanding and flexible insight into our needs and it was augmented by his warm congenial personality. His guidance, arrangements, and friendship on our visit to Murchison Falls N.P. and Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary (and some down time in Kampala as well) are a cherished memory in our lives forever. James' business and services have expanded since then and this is not surprising.
