Armand from RhulaniSafaris exceeded all of my expectations and I would highly recommend the company.
Overall rating
5/5

RhulaniSafaris is a relatively new company run by Armand Grobler, a young (26 YO) South African who spent his formative years growing up in Australia. He is a wild life photographer who is lucky enough to fulfill a dream of sharing his passion for African wild animals through a personalized and professional safari experience. Armand is highly enthusiastic and passionate about the African wildlife and deeply cares about protecting their future. Everything he did was aimed towards making a truly memorable experience for us. His photographic expertise made him ideally suited to understand our needs and he went out of his way to ensure we were perfectly positioned to take great photographs. This is not just a job to Armand, it’s his life.
My daughter, son-in-law and I spent an amazing 5 days at the Buffelshoek Tented Safari Camp, Manyeleti Game Reserve, Umkumbe Safari Lodge, Sabi Sands and Blyde Wildlife Estate.
I would highly recommend including the Manyeleti Game Reserve in your safari. This is a relatively new public reserve and there was an abundance of animals, including the big 5. It wasn’t crowded with other safari vehicles and we were able to get close to the animals. We were even fortunate enough to see a pack of African wild dogs and to locate their den where there were three ~ four months old pups. It was amazing to see them playing and interacting in a totally carefree manner. The Buffelshoek tented accommodation while relatively basic was more than comfortable. This is a small camp accommodating up to 10 people. The food was superb and the staff were very friendly. Umkumbe Safari Lodge was more “up market”. The food and accommodation were excellent. There was free WIFI with limited data (can purchase more) available between 7am - 4pm in the communal area. The game drives were excellent but we didn’t see as many or varied animals as at Manyeleti. However, we did get to see the big 5 including 2 spectacular leopards. On our last night with Armand we stayed in a luxury house at the Blyde Wildlife Estate. This was a real highlight - comfortable and luxurious. My only regret was that we should have stayed for two rather than just one night. We finished with the Panorama Tour (God’s Window, Bourke’s Luck Potholes and 3 Rondawels); well worth the drive as the views were breathtaking.
I will remember the memories gained and our time with Armand forever. I could not recommend Armand and RhulaniSafaris highly enough.

My 2nd safari and again it was a WOW factor!!

I love my ONTRACKSAFARI adventure. Thanks to Will and Carol Fox ! To see the big 5 in their own surroundings was spectacular. To look around a corner to see giraffe and zebra eating side by side is my idea of a safari. Ellies of all sizes playing in the water holes, fascinating to watch. All the animals are my favourite even the hyenas and wort hogs, so ugly they are cute. I was there in spring, to see all the green leaves and colourful flowers in bloom was lovely. The accommodation that Will and Carol choose for their guest is 5 star and beyond. Four different places to stay, all of them very special in their own way. Food is amazing and healthy. The guides on the jeeps are very knowledgeable and passionate about their jobs. They are so helpful in every way, (for example checking to see it's safe behind a bush to go pee.) The night drives are amazing, so many different animals come out at night. To know some of my hard earned dollars are going to help with the conservation of the wild life is also a plus. I got to bring home a plaster cast of a baboons hand that I made on one of my walk abouts. Walking in the bush is as interesting as riding in the jeeps. So many little things to see on the ground. I met some very friendly staff and guests in my 15 days in the bush. I'm sure I made some life long friends. Looking at all my pictures I still say WOW.

Best experience ever, with the most professional company!
5/5

My wife and I had been dreaming with an Africa Safari for a long time and we were finally able to go on Aug 2014. After doing a lot of research of many of the companies that offer private safaris we decided to go with Amani Afrika. After coming back, I have to say that it was the best decision we had ever done. Godwin and his team are truly trustworthy and honest professionals that will do whatever it takes to make their customer happy and have the most amazing experience in Africa. We started talking with Godwin a few months before the trip since we wanted a 9 day Safari but also including visits to different tribes, small cities and a local school where we wanted to go and see what we could do to help. We also wanted to experience some of the fancy lodges but also the tented camps in the middle of the Serengeti. He was always very responsive and worked with us to put together the most customized safari that would fit all our needs and our budget.
It was a bit scary to wire such a large amount of money but we felt very good when we were received by him as planned at the Kilimanjaro Airport. From the beginning we felt that we made the right decisions since everything was perfectly planned, on time and as agreed with him. After meeting him we definitely would fill comfortable with planning another safari and wiring the funds. Our guide Peter was very professional and knowledgeable about the area and very skilled to find all the animals. His English was very good and always very flexible to take us where we wanted and wait the time we needed to enjoy the trip.
Godwin really exceeded our expectations and showed his full dedication to his clients when the airline we were flying left our bags in the connection in Ethiopia and he picked the bags at 9pm at the airport and drove over 2 hours in the middle of the night to deliver our bags to the camp where we were staying so we could enjoy our vacations. We were very grateful and wanted to tip him but he didn’t even accept it. We could see that he really not only is a good business man but also a great person!

Somak.A very professional safari operator, which meant the Safari was well organised and enjoyable
5/5

We very much enjoyed our Safari with Somak. Nothing was too much trouble at all stages. We arrived at the Somak Lounge in Nairobi before meeting our driver Dominic, who was excellent throughout. As it was our first Safari we were advised to go on the Cheetah Safara, which involved a lot of travelling but meant we had a lot of variation. Thanks to Dominic we saw the big five and when on our first game drive on the Masai Mara we saw Wildebeest cross the river. All the accommodation was excellent. The only disappointment was the lack of other tourists who had been put of by the security situation but there was nothing Somak could do about that. Indeed we did not feel threatened in any way. Dominic came to the rescue when I realized I had forgotten my Camera battery charger by going off to visit many shops before returning with a typical Kenyan multi functional charger, which with a bit of adjustment charged my battery. The Safari did live up to expectation and my children cant wait to go back.

About: Tanzania
Great experience
Overall rating
4/5

We had a good mix of game drive and cultural experience on our safari. We had lodged run by former street kids, run by Masai and also more luxury in some tented camps and less luxury but great vibes in tented camps in the Serengeti.
The food was good but almost everywhere the same. Our guide Christopher was the owner of a little safari tour company. He was well educated, learned us a lot of things about Tanzania, it’s people and wildlife.
We even saw the big migration in the North. The only negative thing was the very long drives; even when the scenery is overwhelming, 6 to 8 hours in a car is too long...
but overall a great experience!!

We did 5 day masai mara & nakuru & naivasha tour. We started with masai mara which was spectacular and the most incredible part of the tour. We couldn't spot a leopard and rhino there but we could see all the other wildlife in two days. Every animal was abundant. Nakuru was very nice too. It is a great place to see rhinos. Naivasha is mild safari tour with great excursions including water and bike safari. Overall it was a great experience, but our first driver Jack was a silent guy who doesn't communicate with their guests and doesn't explain about the tour much. This was disappointing and leaves you with an uneasy feeling. He was mostly just driving and answering our questions with small words. Our second driver John was an incredible guy who was very helpful.

I'll choose Right Choice Tours&Travel for my next safari trip
5/5

We (I and my husband) were in Kenya in October, 2014.
We booked with Right Choice Safaris under six weeks before we were due to travel on our vacation. We were extremely pleased that Right Choice Safaris got everything organized and gave us discount for our early booking. I have to say that George and his team did a wonderful job of arranging a private safari around the dates we had already decided upon, saving us from having to book hotels. Their driver and guide Stiv was excellent. Vehicle was comfortable with open roof. Stiv was very friendly and had good knowledge of the animals and birds seen on the safari, also of trees and other vegetation and he explained things in ways which kept us interested. While the driving to Lake Nakuru Stiv suggested to take a boat trip on Lake Navaishi. We saw Hypo’s families and eagles hunting. Stiv had a real talent for spotting animals, even while driving.
He asked us about animals we want to see and tried to find them, so we saw the whole great 7. The hotels we choose, were very good. We stayed in Sarova Lion Hill and Mara Serena Lodge. Both of them have amazing view to the Lake Nakuru or Masaai Mara. Right Choice Safaris did a brilliant job of arranging everything for us, the driver, vehicle and all accommodation while on the safari (full board). With their help we had the the very interesting and enjoyable time. Of course, we will choose them to organize our safari next year and I would happily recommend them to anyone looking to safari in East Africa.

An excellent experience.
The accommodation in tents was safe, with beautiful views and animals around like monkeys, impalas and springbok.
The schedule was fulfilled and everything promised was fulfilled perfectly.
