Excellent day at the start of a 9 day safari adventure

We arrived in time to have lunch overlooking the Ngorongoro Crater from our hotel. We were up before sunrise and set out to the gates. As the first vehicle into the crater, we instantly spotted a white rhino. From there we experienced the sunrise over the crater as we continued to see all the animals we had dreamed of seeing on safari, including lions finishing off a meal from the night before, elephants, ostriches, baboons. We had breakfast looking out over the hippo pool - very scenic and beautiful spot for a rest. Later on, we were fortunate to be able to see a serval cat hunting its prey. We headed back out of the crater in time for a late lunch. Prior to departure for the Serengeti, we enjoyed one last sunrise over the crater.

Excellent tour company - highly recommended!
4/5

I have used African path finder safaris twice - in 2007 and 2011 - and would highly recommend the company. Patrick, the owner, is so friendly and helpful and really goes out of his way to accommodate you on your trip and make your visit to Kenya special and make your visit hassle free. I wull definitely use the company on my future visits!

An excellent tour with Mnyau M. Abi
Overall rating
4/5

We booked our tour with Mr. Mnyau M. Abi (0686085022) from Das Es Salaam and went there by bus. Mr. Abi waited for us at the bus station and from that moment we were in very safe hands. With him we went to the national park where we made very beautifull pictures because he drew very near at the animals (even the lions). Also he knew the answers to alle our questions on the park. In the park where only 3 other cars and there were very many young animals. The next day we went to the Sanje waterfalls in Udzungwa Mountains National Park. At the top of te waterfalls we had an excellent vieuw and saw the rare apes. Mr. Abi took care of our breakfest, lunch and accommadation (of course after which we made clear our desires) and even took care that we got the tickets and the right bus back to Dar (he got the faretickets which we could not get at the bus station). It was for me and my wife a very relaxed tour in which we saw and experienced more than we had expected.

9 Day Safari, Kenya, Tanzania--Masaii Mara, Lake Nukuru, Amboseli, Serengetti, and Nongorogoro Crate
4/5

I like the service provided, guides were excellent in the first 5 days in Kenya, had good knowledge of the animals and was lucky at Amboseli to see Kilamanjaro mountain top.. There was a lack of English on the Tanzania side,, but it was ok as I am very familiar with many animals in Africa. So it was less of an issue for me than the others on the combined group I was with... Would definitely book with this outfit again.

We were captivated by the pulse of the bush and variety of wildlife encountered.

We were very fortunate to see plenty of wildlife & had the awesome experience of coming across a pride of lions with their zebra kill at 4.30am very near our camp. The recent drought had taken its toll on the vegetation but the scenery was still interesting. We stayed at Satara & Lower Sabie Camps which were both very adequate & allowed us to self-cater breakfast & lunch & to either bbq or eat in the restaurant for dinners. I would recommend taking your own groceries as the choices at the camps we somewhat limited. We self-drove which was fantastic because it gave us flexibility in gaming times & when we could stop. We were on the road each day at 4.30, back at camp for lunch, swim & rest then out again late afternoon. I am a keen photographer and was like a kid in a candy store with all the photo opportunities that Kruger National Park presented but I am now keen to visit Sabi Sands and/or Okavango Delta where I understand the sightings are more frequent per kilometre travelled. This trip has certainly put the unique African bush & wildlife in our hearts & we can't wait to return in the near future.

Review about Namibia by Grayson

Namibia lacks the abundance of wildlife and classic African scenery of East Africa but certainly has its own charm, beauty and wildlife. In particular, Etosha's water holes have wildlife sittings that rival any in Africa. While in Namibia, we saw a number of rarities we missed in Kenya including cheetah, black rhinoceros, honey badger and bat-eared fox. I would recommend going to Kenya or Tanzania first to get the classic African safari experience but would highly recommend Namibia as a second or more African destination.

Worth the detour. The view from the top of the plateau is stunning. Though the entry is not well shown.

Amazing

I went to Etosha for a week, and i have to say it has been awesome ! In just five days I had the chance to see 11 lions, a cheetah (with is usually rare in the area), Rhinos, and other wildlife... I was expecting that much.
the scenery was great, though the disappointing part, is that Etosha in July, August is so dry and deserted. The weather was fine, and the accommodation far beyond my expectations. Food is difficult to find in camps.
