About: Kenya
An amazing view to wildlife
Overall rating
5/5

The wildlife in Kenya is various, showing me the place that city human do not set foot in.the scenery in TV before become ture in front of my eyes.I can face to face with rhinoceros、zebra、impala、giraffe and so on.
Our guide is Charly,a Samburu people with excellent driving technique and abundant knowledge of safari, which let me witness the hunting of lions in Amboseli and the new life of lions in Masai Mara,we got optimum shooting angle fortunately by his exquisite driving technique so that I can take documentaries-rivalled photos, but only a moment lasting in order to give other people chance to enjoy the rare scenes by the gentleman's manner of Charly. He also introduced us Samburu people after we visited Masai village, with his concern for compatriots,it is really an unusual experience to let me have acquaintance of the two big peoples of Kenya.
The only deficiency is in Sopa Lodge, there was network wrong with their card-reading,which let me wastage unnecessary money to pay again for the same goods,it is really absurd to let me assumed the liabilities of the fault making by Sopa Lodge’s bank.Although Classic Journeys had help me to negotiate about it,I still do not get responds till now,the Sopa's service is not sopa at all.
Overall,it is a satisfying trip to feed our sight on Africa, letting me fall in love with Africa.Classic Journeys is the best choice of travelling in Africa

Dinner cruise, Chobe day trip and Elephant ride / Night Game Drive
5/5

We had a wonderful 3 days of activities in Vic Falls! Blessing was an excellent source of information, from ATM questions to dinner recommendations. The sunset dinner cruise was an excellent way to relax after a long day of travel, an intimate dinner versus being part of a larger group. The day trip to Chobe was also an excellent choice. Bring a backup battery or extra camera because you will take lots of pictures. We saw tons of wildlife on this trip. The elephant ride was fun but shorter than I expected. The night game drive proved to be least number animal sightings, but all was forgiven when we saw the new baby rhino! The campfire dinner was also well done. On both the Chobe day trip and the night game drive, drinks and snacks were provided so you only had to bring any personal items you needed.

Amazing safari. The Masai Mara in amazing how much life there is. Every where you look there is something and you camp right in the middle of it. I've done two other safaris in Africa. Another one in Kenya and one in Bostwanna/Zim.

I did the 3 day Gorilla Trekking with Lake Basin and had a great time. The crew was very accommodating to my needs and changed the plans according to my flights. My driver and tour guide were very friendly and professional and the accommodations were top notch. Definitely recommend this tour company.

What could have been a dream trip, ended a disaster
Overall rating
3/5

The wild life, the sun stets and sun rises, the scenery were spectacular. All this, that could have been the trip of our lives, was immediately reduced to a "not doable again", because of the following history. This was a 2 week trip to Zanzibar with a passage on Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. Every days were scheduled, by the minute. The Safari was scheduled for 3 days and 2 nights. We were arriving at Arusha at 9 o'clock, and we were supposed to join a group for the safari. In the day after the safari, the agency called us, saying that we couldn't join the group, because we were arriving at 9 and it was not possible to delay the safari because of us. We were really disappointed because we had the written confirmation by the agency, and now it was not possible... We force them to get a solution for us because everything was planed, and at the time, nothing was possible. So we managed a solution with another jeep just for us, but we had to pay 800 dollars more for this solution. In the day we arrived at the airport, there was the guyed and the agency lady, that in the moment asked us for the money of the safari, and the extra money for the change that it was not our mistake, it was theirs. We pull out a credit card, and we were about to have another problem. The machine wasn't working and we had to go to the near bank, that it was a 50 minutes drive. So if were late at 9 we were late 3 hours more for this trip to the bank. At the bank we couldn't withdraw money in the bank, we had to do it form an ATM machine. we had to use the card 8 times to withdraw money and we paid 12 dollars of taxes more for each withdraw. It was an extra 300 dollars for the safari. After this we were really late to arrive at the park to set up the tent. The trip was a completely adventure, the pour guyed that showed us the park had to drive like mad to get to the park on time, we had to lunch during the drive, we had to stop to pick up our materials for the tent.
So we arrived at the park, and of course it was dark already. For our surprise and one more time the agency lied to us, we had to set up the tent instead of having dinner and have the tent prepared after it. After a dangerous travel by jeep, and a very quick but very taste dinner from our chef, we had to set up a tent. After this we sow that there were no wood beds for us, just like the ones we sow on the picture that the agency sent us before confirming the safari on tents. We sleep on a small mattress in the floor of the tent, that didn't had any time to clear the air inside of it, the smell was really bad. Despite all this in the next day we had to pick up and disassemble the tent for the 1st day in the safari, we were more tired than the day before. We visit Serengeti, and we enjoyed it very much, but of course we arrived at another park, where we saw all tourists with their tents set up, and we had to set up our tent once again and in the next day to disassemble it once again.
What could have been a dream trip ended up like a tiring one.

Amazing Masai Mara
Overall rating
4/5

Our Safari, organized by African Scenery Holidays, was great: we had a 4 days safari (Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru), but actually we had game drives 2half days and a full day.. it was enough as Masai Mara was full of animals! we saw many lions, cheetahs, leopards, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, giraffes, elephants, wildebeest, ostriches, pumbas, timons .. and a white rhino in lake Nakuru. We also visited the Maasai village and it was very interesting.
our safari was a budget one but we saw as much animals as the luxurious safaris.
The tended camp we stayed in was basic, and the food monotonous, we had to change driver many times as the travellers in our van had different itinerarys (maybe longer or shorter safaris than our), but it was ok.
The communication with our tour coordinator Fredinah was excellent, both before and during and even after the safari. She was always on hand to answer questions and reachable anytime. After the safaris we moved to the coast and this part of trip was for self organized, but she was still available to help us when we needed. We felt we had a secure support and a person to trust in, and it was very reassuring. Thankyou Freedinah!

We love Uganda and Cul Tours!
5/5

Our first safaritrip was with Stephen to Murchisonfalls. The first night we slept in a tent and the second night in a beautiful lodge in front of a very nice view of the Nile. The hospitality was good because the employers were very kind. They were smiling all the time and if you had any questions you got help almost immediately. Besides that, the food was delicious and the accomodation is located in superb nature area. Tourguide Stephen takes every personal desire of his guests in account. His knowlegde about the different kind of animals is extensive, you can ask him everything. It was a great experience and a nice comfortable journey. We travelled in a sort of Safari-buss with 4 people including Stephen, because of that we had a lot of space. Our second trip with Cul Tours was to Jinja, this was with the always laughing and friendly driver Solomon. We had the desire to visit a local family and a school. When you go with Cul Tours, Cul Tours arranges a flexible schedule for you based on your personal wishes and even though you want to do something else, you can change the schedule in consulation with the person of Cul Tours. Our next trip will be definitely with Cul Tours to!

Most exciting and amazing vacation ever!
Overall rating
5/5

Went on a safari vacation in July. Saw 4 of the big 5 on the very first day! We eventually saw all of the Big 5 and what we learned are the "Ugly 5". Every day brought a new experience with new animals/birds added. Highlights were the 3 species of Giraffes, Masai and forest elephants ( all in herds with their families), a pride of 13 lions, ballon ride over the Masai Mara, amazing hippos and rhinos ( all with babies), spotting Leopard on the rock, just to name a few of the everyday experiences. The weather was perfect, cool in the morning and then warmer ( not hot) in the afternoons. Bugs were never an issue. Very good accommodations - lodges and tented lodges ( like glamping). Had few issues with hot water or plumbing but nothing horrible. Most of the food was buffet style with lots of variety and good tasting. The service was excellent. We had a private tour with an excellent guide who spoke several languages. He was able to spot the animals and was very knowledgeable about the wildlife and Kenya in general. We had a pop up van that I would not recommend. The roads are VERY rough. I think the 4x4 pop up would have been more comfortable for the number of days on Safari(12). After safari we spent 3 days at the beach in Mombasa. Unfortunately, it rained the entire time :(, but it was still a relaxing finish. GREAT trip!
