4 day (Manyara Lake, Serengeti, Ngorongoro) standard tented safari
5/5

We were on safari 14-17.09.2017 in a group of 7 people. The general organisation of safari was good and met our expectations. Saw a lot of animals - guide was in touch with other cars and took care about quick reactions in case of animal appearance. Equipment was well preapred as well as food. special greatings for Eric (giude) and Mr Bean (cook).

My name is Jane and this was the first time I was visiting Africa. I was very scared at first but I can't deny that my trip was amazing . I decided for a short safari in Saadani. Simply beautiful . I saw a lot of elephants and waterbuck. The boat safari was beautiful as well . Thanks to all the Team .

Pain and worry free booking experience with exemplary customer service.
5/5

We booked our safari with Levis at Hallmark Travel Planners. We ended up with a 16 day safari in Kenya and Rwanda. Over the course of a year, Levis politely and quickly answered all of our questions (I think I emailed him around 60 times!!). He was always courteous and professional. He ensured that our requests for what we wanted out of our safari were met. Our accommodations and experiences were superb as was our private tour guide in Kenya, Anthony. The Gorilla trek in Rwanda was an amazing experience- I highly recommend adding this to your trip if you can spare 2 or 3 days.
I cannot say enough about how incredible our safari was and I am sure it had a lot to do with Levis experience and commitment to his customers.

Thank you Levis!!

Private tailored Classic Namibian was fabulous experience and great value. Couldn't beat it!
5/5

This safari was modified after helpful suggestions to include extra days in & near Windhoek at start & end & in the middle to slow the pace. Extra costs for private arrangements surprisingly affordable, including no single supplement. All arrangements ran smoothly from airport arrival to departure ( even the 0400 airport transfer!).
Hotels, lodges, hired vehicle, excursions uniformly excellent. Great game viewing at this time of year. Our local guide Kit was a good friend & all you could wish for. Without his local knowledge we would have missed half the great sightings & possibly even chosen the wrong wines!
This is a great company to deal with, helpful, responsive, & full of good suggestions. You really need to book this type of holiday with a flexible & knowledgeable local firm to get the best. We cannot recommend them too highly.

Product and Personality
5/5

I just returned from a week safari in Uganda including gorilla trek in Bwindi all booked with Gorillas Homeland Safaris. As a traveller, mist people look for two things... Product and Personality. Gorillas Homeland Safaris excelled on both counts. The scenery was stunning, the animals were fascinating, and the people of Uganda were wonderful.
My personal guides/drive surpassed expectations. From the warm wonderful smiles greeting me at the airport, through our informative game drives, Davis and Meddy made sure I had a great time.
I loved the excitement of seeing the tree climbing lions in the branches right over our vehicle; of seeing all the hippos in the river channel and water holes; of the elephants crossing ahead and behind our vehicle.
The trek to see the gorillas was challenging for me as this trip was scheduled right between two cancer surgeries but I had the best guide and porter in Bwindi and was rescued by a motorcycle drive part way down. Thank you, my knight!
Being in the presence of the gorilla family was both exciting and peaceful. You could see the different personalities in each of them. Enchanting!
I left my heart in Uganda.

an absolutely disappointing and frustrating experience with Tazama Holidays in the Masai Mara, Kenya
2/5

I just returned from a 6-nights private Migration Safari with Tazama Holidays in Kenya, quite expensive for a single traveller in a land cruiser. And it was absolutely disappointing!

The aim of my trip was very clear from the beginning on - wildlife photography of the wildebeest migration in the Masai Mara.

But their driver-guide, Eric, first only did classic game drives and only after unpleasant vivid discussions finally took me to the Talek River instead to the requested more important Mara River crossing points, with the result that we only got to see one crossing on the very last day (even though I showed him the exact points on a map!)

This driver of a 'photographic' safari (Tazama's own words) did not know anything about the simplest rules how to position the vehicle. He was very stubborn and did not take lightly to criticism. At any sightings he would spend most of the time on his phone (talking or checking messages). He definitely lacks even the most basic communicative skills (except with fellow drivers) as it proved to be extremely difficult to get any info or feedback. The only positive thing: he is a good driver and game spotter. It might well be that you fare better when going with the owner, Antony, himself. But although this was initially the plan also for my trip, this was changed shortly before leaving. You never know what you get!

Shortly before leaving for the trip Tazama proposed to change accommodation, an intimate eco-bush camp inside the Mara Reserve instead a much bigger one outside the reserve. This proved to be an excellent suggestion. However, also here Tazama disappointed as they stated this new camp would be more expensive, but they would not charge it to me. During my stay, however, I got the info that the bush camp was in fact about 20 percent cheaper - quite a sum for 6 nights which Tazama of course happily kept for themselves.

In short, if you don't ask for anything more than very general 'touristy' game drives and don't mind being ripped off for accomodation rates, if you are fine with a driver who does what he wants and does not communicate, go with Tazama.

An amazing well cared trip filled with professional service and value for money
5/5

Vincent was perfect in communication from the beginning. We were offered a good value for price. Right from the pick from airport till drop back to the airport, Vincent had made sure everything was well co ordinated. Even if some things were missed, like drinking water etc, they were arranged as soon as asked for. The camp is also very decent. I was not sure when I booked this trip as to what I should expect, but I was very pleased when we left the camp. It was an excellent trip and well taken care of. Food can be improved, but we cannot complain as may different nationalities are at the camp and its hard to please everyone. The camp can improve a bit on its looks and presentation, considering how nice the staff are. For 3 day trip, you dont have to worry, you are in good hands.

Amazing, incredible, wonderful
5/5

Dear Sylvester,
My husband and I booked our safari with your organisation and I can say with certainty it was the best decision we made. From the very beginning you answered all our queries immediately, no matter the time difference (we are from Australia). You were prompt and on the ball and your company acted with honesty and integrity. You picked us up personally from the airport at night and introduced us to our wonderful driver for the next 5 days, Danson. You even organised a surprise for us at Aberdare where we slept in the Queens Room. How kind of you.
Danson you were the best driver ever. You are so skilful at negotiating the chaotic roads, I was not nervous for one second. You got us to all our designated lodges on time and your knowledge and experience are second to none. You were thoughtful and helpful and went above and beyond to make our safari a memorable one. I would travel with you anytime and will recommend you again and again.
Thank you both so much for making a long held dream come true.
Regards and Best Wishes
