serengetti is an unforgettable experience
we visited it with our kids and were mesmerised by parks beauty its abundance of wildlife and its diverse ecosystem..
some of the highlights of our trip
saw a pride of 15 lions.. lioness and cubs roaming in their natural habitat like kings .. they walked towards our vehicle, we were holding our breaths tight, and then crossee the road in front of us absolutely unfazed by our presence as if we hardly matter to them.
we saw a cheetah pounce on a dear and then as we went near him we saw him feast on his catch
we saw millions of wild beasts and zebras and gazelles .. the landscape dotted with them .. from the small hill (near the entrance gate) we can see the whole landscape dotted with these amazing animals.. we even saw herds of zebras roaming around a group of lions as lions were resting after they had devoured on a wildbeast.
saw leopards resting on tree branches and giraffes roaming aroung carefree .. we got so near to giraffes that we could literally touch them.
over all .. if someone wants to go on a safari and see animals from close by in their natural habitat living their normal lives serengetti should be their first choice
its absolutely magical and no one will ever forget the experience.

It depends if you are in the park or not. IN the park is 100% the real thing, but outside... not so much.

Great for the budget traveler, with customizable itins and wonderful people
4/5

We booked a customized itinerary based on the 7-day Gorillas and Savannah Safari. Richard Kisembo was a joy to deal with electronically in the months leading up to our trip, and he was equally enthusiastic when we finally met in person in Kampala. I was surprised to find out that Richard would not be joining us for our trip. Instead he introduced us to our guide Ahmed, who became our friend as much as our guide over the course of our trip.
I do think that our being young (both under 30) and adaptable budget travelers made this arrangement work out as well as it did. The trip was not luxurious, but it was perfect for us.

About: Biwakwango
After two trips with Biwakwango, it's like travelling with a close friend
4/5

Our trip to Namibia (the second with Biwakwango, after South Africa) for a group of 8 was organised around our specific requirements and interests, and was meticulously planned for over a year. Thierry catered for a all our demands and offered excellent value for money. Highlights of the trip included seeing the Namib desert at dusk and dawn, approaching the Damaraland elephants during a day trek, the endless variety of wildlife in Etosha, and the river trips on the Kavango and Zambezi. We may well return again soon!

Fantastic holidays in an incredibly beautiful country
5/5

I am a solo traveler and I have just returned from a 3-week holiday in Namibia, including a few days in Botswana, finishing at the Victoria falls. The trip was organised by wild dog-safaris based in Windhoek and I must say it was my best holiday ever. Namibia is a stunningly beautiful country, so beautiful it is almost impossible to describe.
The first part of my trip consisted of the 7-day Southern swing group tour which was nice and relaxed. Our guide Marcus was very knowledgeable about his country, very friendly, always ready to answer questions and an excellent safe driver. Alfeus his assistant was a great cook and the food was excellent and plentiful. My fellow travellers and I were given ample time to enjoy the scenery, taking photos and at no time did we feel rushed to move along. It was my first ever group tour and I must say that I thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
The second part of my trip was a 2 week self-driving tailored tour. At the planning stage, all my emails to wild dog safaris were answered within 24 hours. The tour was perfectly organised; I was met by Lucinda who gave me all the appropriate documentation, detailed map and accommodation vouchers. All I had to do was to follow the itinerary and enjoy myself.
I will definitely be returning to Namibia; it is such a beautiful and vast country that it is worth a few visits
Wild dog safari stop at nothing to ensure you have the time of your life, big thumb up

Friendly, safe, reliable and informative!
5/5

We were very pleased with Rwanda Eco Company and Safaris. We used their services to visit Virunga to see the silverback gorillas and the golden monkeys, as well as for two separate day trips to Akagera. Reginal secured silverback gorilla permits for us before we even arrived, met us at our Kigali hotel and introduced us to the drivers. The drivers were pleasant and very safety-minded, the vehicles were comfortable and well-maintained, and we had a great time. Thanks, Reginal, for your great service.

Great 3 Day Safari with Bonfire Adventures at the Mara Sopa Lodge!
5/5

This review is specifically about Bonfire Adventures & the Mara Sopa lodge. My friend and I booked a private, custom 3 night/4 day safari with Bonfire. The regular package is 2 nights, 3 days, but since we were traveling from far away we wanted an extra day. Bonfire is a Kenyan based (and owned company) that plans safaris & other excursions. They offer many lodging options, from budget to luxury, so there's something for everyone.

We live in the United States. Bonfire was very responsive over email and priced out the package. I was in Kenya for work, so I went to a Bonfire office to pay via credit card in person, which cost an extra 3%. Right now, the only other option is to do a direct bank transfer to their account (which I did not want to do from the United States). Hopefully, Bonfire will have an online credit card pay link soon. But, everything worked out fine.

Our guide, Duncan, was wonderful. He picked us up in Nairobi and drove us the 5+ hours to the Mara. We did 2 bathroom stops (on the way out and in). Bring snacks and extra water for the journey! It's a little bumpy at the end, but it's so great to see what Kenya really looks like.

Duncan was professional and polite and very knowledgable about the animals and plants of the Mara. We saw so much wildlife! He was very patient with all of our requests to take photos. He had a great eye for the photos himself and even helped us set up some sunset and animal shots.

We stayed at the Mara Sopa lodge, the most "hotel" of all the options on that side of the park. It's beautiful and comfortable, especially considering how remote the Mara is.

The Mara is a magical place and I highly recommend it.
