A most fantastic and memorable experience for the entire family.
5/5

While researching for an African safari tour operator, I read about BAS on some of the online forums, and reached out to them (and a few other operators) via email. Their marketing person, Salim, was always very quick and helpful in his replies to us; and was able to accommodate some of our requests, like an extra night at Tarangire and Serengeti, a stopover at the Olduvai Gorge for a quick anthropological learning session for the kids on human evolution.

Everything was conducted smoothly, and no hiccups. Options for payment were plentiful: cash, credit card (with additional bank surcharges) or TT the funds to their account.

Prior to our flight from home (Singapore), we were informed who would be our guide as well as the telephone nos in the event of emergencies or if we need to contact BAS on arrival to Arusha. On arrival, Hamis, our guide was there waiting for us, and with a bright smile to greet us. We felt at home almost straightaway.

Our first leg of the journey was to Tarangire National Park, and Lake Manyara National Park. Tarangire was our first introduction to African Elephants (many of them), warthogs (Pumba), hyenas, Masai giraffes, and lions. The lions were a bit more challenging to sight. It was amazing how Hamis was able to rattle off the names of the birds that we saw during our trip. At the Lake Manyara, we saw more elephants, tons of baboons (we saw a troop that numbered around 300 - 400 baboons), hippos and buffaloes. We were not able to see the flamingos up close, but it was not the season for the flamingos to flock to the lake as yet.

Then we had to change guides as Hamis fell sick along the way and felt it was not best to continue on the journey with us (into a more remote part of the country aka Serengeti) and we got a new guide, Salim (or Salim Salim to differentiate with the office Salim). Salim had a gift (as I'm sure so do the other guides) of finding animals far away with only his eyes and we're still trying to look for the animals using our binoculars! And at the Serengeti, he made an effort to try to get us to see as many types of animals as possible. Including a whole morning hunting for a cheetah (success), and we came across many packs of lionesses and cubs along the way. At the Ngorongoro crater, he found 2 lionesses stalking a pair of water buffaloes, whereas we at that time was a bit tired of seeing all the lions not do much.. except he said to look at the posture of one of the lioness, was one of stalking the prey. We stayed for a good 20 minutes while the pair stalked the buffaloes and got to see some action, the chase, the fight back... but it would not be a successful hunt. But exciting nonetheless.

The hotels and lodging booked by BAS was first rate. A word of caution for Tarangire Osupuko lodge was that it was powered by generators and there would be no power for most of the night and early morning (it got quite hot in the room), but the view of the national park was lovely (situated right on the edge of the park). The best time we had in terms of lodging was at the Serengeti Tortillis Camp, which I am glad we booked an extra night. The kids got to learn about near zero carbon living, and while luxurious, it was as close to camping as they got in a while. And the night sky was wonderful! Sadly it rained for part of the time we were there so not much chance to see the striking sun rise or sun sets.

Overally, it was a first rate tour from BAS, from start to end. Could not have been happier with the trip, and the team at BAS.

Amazing safari
5/5

We went on a three day safari which Abraham organised to fit exactly what we wanted. We went to both the Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater and had a good amount of time in each place. The driver was amazing and made sure we saw as many animals as possible. We were even lucky enough to see 2 leopards! The food was great and the tents, sleeping bags and mattresses provided were very comfy. I would definitely recommend this company for your safari.

5-star safari operator! Simply the best!
5/5

We just enjoyed our second safari organized by safari specialists!
In short terms: absolutely perfect in every way! Again!
Our agent was Nadine (again) and like on our first trip she excelled again! Every question was answered in no time, she made suggestions and recommendations that were spot-on.
Her recommendations concerning the camps were on the money! We chose Tau Pan, Lagoon and Shinde. All of them were first class.
All of her bookings for lodging, activities and flights were exceptional and proceeded without any issues.
We were greeted at the airport on the way in and way out which made us feel as being part of the “family”.
We will definitely use their service again on the next trip!
Thanks again!

I had such a wonderful safari with Saso Uganda Safari.
5/5

Setting up the safari was very easy. My concerns about payment were put aside because the company was in constant contact with me though out the months I was planning my vacation. They picked me up exactly when they said with a very knowledgeable and friendly guide. Ours was 3 days, I honestly wish it was longer. I would call them again next time I come visit.

My experience with Africa Nziza Odysseys was exceptionally FANTASTIC!!!
5/5

Our travel adventure to Uganda with Africa Nziza Odysseys exceeded our expectations on every level. The experience was OUTSTANDING!!!
Mr. Bernard Alineitwe, our travel organizer, demonstrated the greatest level of concern for the implementation of every detail that enhanced our safari journey. He consistently catered to the concerns of every member of our group and provided unique opportunities that allowed us to create exciting, lifetime memories! The service that we enjoyed at every safari location was EXCELLENT.

It was obvious that significant thought, and detailed planning, went into the preparation of our trip. We would not hesitate to recommend Africa Nziza Odysseys to our family and friends. In fact, we intend to use their excellent services for our next African Adventure this year!!

Excellent, go with Karim and have the best safari ever!
5/5

We were lucky to book with this company.  Karim,  our guide made this holiday one of the best. He was very professional,  exprienced,  kind, caring and informative . He was there for us any second we needed him and he did more than just the itinerary to make us completely happy and satisfied. I am British and my husband is German and I should admit that it is not easy to please us. He went the extra mile, above and beyond to fulfill all our wishes,  at the same time he always considered enough time for our relaxation.
He was very organised, excellent companion and had a great sense of humour.
If you are new to doing safari with tour, you might not know how vitall it is to have a great driver and guide . We can promise you that if you go with Karim, you will be in good hands and you will love every second of your holiday.  I am sure that this company has got lots of good guides, however we had the chance to be with one. I can say they all care about the clients and will support you all through your holiday.

Karim was very protective and we felt super safe with him. He was so unbelievably patient all through our journey. Always smiling,  engaging and entertaining us, even after long hours driving he was interested to give us a great surprise.  He stopped in the local market so we could buy fresh fruit, took us to the local school so we could give sweets to the children , took us to the best honey shop in the country, stopped to introduce local food and sometimes even during the transfer to show us a bird or tell us about the area.
He did so mamy things voluntary without even being on the list or asked, only to make us happy. He knew exactly what we wanted and how to give us the best service. We felt special in the accommodation, because he made sure on arrival that they look after us. We had unfortunately a bad experience in Tanzania with another tour operator. Karim even said sorry for the treatment we got from another tour operator in another company.  The point is how courtous and well mannered he is. Everyone says there is no guarantee to see all the animals,  although this is to some extent true, however 95 percent is the knowledge and the experience of the guide. Karim could read the body language of the animals and from the way they were looking or standing in a group,  he could spot lions and leopards.  He knew their hiding places and the way he patiently drove have us the opportunity to spot more. He cleaned the car every day and stopped in amazing spots so we could have lunch.
If only I knew home to Africa offers tours for all east African countries.  So you can trust them that they will look after you. If you need any videos or pictures text me please.  We did the 10 day private safari. One tip is most luxurious  tents are as good and sometimes better than lodges. One place you should not miss is lake Bunyonyi. People in Uganda are superlovely and you have tourism police for extra security of tourists every where even in some lodges. I have never felt so safe in any country.  I can't wait to go back and see the rest.
Thanks home to Africa

The level of personal service was exceptional.
5/5

My wife and I came to Tanzania to celebrate my 80th birthday with friends I made 11 years ago. Part of our trip was to be a Safari and our friend introduced us to Jumaa Mohamedi at Ancestor Travel & Tours. Planning with Jumaa was easy as he answered every query promptly and with good advice, He, and his company, are very professional yet very flexible. What the customer wants/needs always comes first.
We had problems after arrival in Dar-es-Salaam with the 'personal' aspect of our trip and had to make changes to our itinerary. No problem. Jumaa was there at our side and worked tirelessly to re-arrange our schedule.
Because this was a special trip for us , and because it got off to a difficult start, Jumaa stayed with us for the whole trip, including the Safari. More scheduling problems came up, none of them the fault of Ancestor Tours, but they were solved without stress to us. The safari , with Jumaa and Isaac, (a fantastic driver/guide and also a very nice guy), was incredible. Jumaa , Ancestor Tours, and Isaac were so flexible that they tailored the tour to our needs as we went along. Nothing was too much trouble to ensure we had the best possible experience.
Jumaa worked so hard . Taking care of us and running his business by 'phone and computer at the same time. Obviously he cannot give this level of personal service to every client , he does have a business to run after all, but rarely have we come across such dedication to client satiifaction.
Thank you Jumaa and Ancestor Travel & Tours. You turned what could have been a disappointment into a great trip. Your dedication to your clients is so exceptional that I am sure all your tours would be an adventure.

Best safari experience you can have in Africa
5/5

We’d travelled with Wildebeest Safaris for our safari trip in Kenya and Tanzania last November. It was a super fantastic trip with full of memories. Wildebeest Safaris did a very good job for us, make our Africa dream came true.
Before we started our safari, we did a lot of comparisons between different safari companies. The manager of the company Noah Kuti gave us lots of useful advice on the itinerary. He knows everything about the safari, destinations, lodges etc. Also provided us a very reasonable price.
With our safari guide Andrew and Hamza, the whole trip went very smoothly. They are both very knowledgeable about the wild animals and Africa culture. We saw thousands of flamingos in Lake Bogoria, very excited. All of the lodges chosen by Kuti are very unique, we even heard the lion roaring in the mid of the night near our tent when we stayed in Serengeti Tortilis.
We will go back Africa for wildebeest crossing next time, and of course with wildebeest safaris. Anyone who is considering to do safari in Africa, Wildebeest Safaris will be a good choice.

Outstanding service of perfect staff
5/5

African Bush Lovers is a small travel agency in Kasane/Botswana which offers safari tours, travel services and accommodation. Even from the initial planning phase in Germany for our self-organized trip from Dar Es Salaam to Johannesburg, I had extensive e-mail and telephone contact with Stanza, the director of the company, and his wife Kenny. Never in my life would I have imagined that a stranger would be so keenly involved in helping us make a success of a somewhat crazy journey.
Both the safari in Hwange NP in Zimbabwe and the River Boat Cruise on the River Cuando were excellently organized. Stanza and Kenny themselves took care of every detail right through to clarifying whether proof of a yellow fever vaccination was needed at the Zimbabwean and Botswanan border or not.
Several changes in our itinerary, needed due to unforeseen and unpredictable situations, were made by them with the utmost ease. And when there was a problem with the transfer of the deposit they trusted me to settle the total amount on site. Almost unimaginable!
They are wonderful people who also employ well-chosen and highly competent staff. At the end it was like saying farewell to friends.
