We had a safari with sunup and it was really amazing, what a wildlife and our chauffeur Robin showed us the whole big 5! Chris, the person we had email contact with was also very pleasant, he always responded very quick at any our questions! We stayed at the luxury ashnil mara camp and it was was really good! We booked a private safari, we where with 3 persons and that was very nice. We loved our safari and we really recommend sunup adventure!

Experience of a lifetime.

A party of five people, I senior, parents, and two boys age 9 and 11.
Having travelled in Africa many times, I wanted my grandsons to experience this wonderful country.
This is the first time that I have used a organised tour company, previously preferring to make my own arrangements has I travelled though. After much research I choose Boundless Journeys, and boy oh boy, I absolutely made the right decision. From my very first communication with Annette to being dropped off at the airport by Enoch everything was superb. The attention to detail was amazing. We were kept informed at every stage of the details of our trip. Not only was Annette super efficient, the driver allocated to us was marvellous. Enoch was a lovely man, very knowledgeable about the fauna and flora, and a very safe driver. We saw all the big five. And Enoch was especially attentive to the two youngest who was very keen to learn from him. If you want the holiday of a lifetime, please book with this company, you will not be disappointed. Finally thank you, Annette & Enoch, for a brilliant time.

Great experience with a sour end
Overall rating
4/5

The experience on the whole was incredible. We were met at the airport by a driver (as arranged) and taken swiftly to our tour operator’s (Seth) office. We paid Seth for what we agreed (there maybe more ‘tax’ costs on the day though so bring extra dollars as we did not have enough with ‘extra increments’). After that we were then taken to the hotel as arranged by Seth prior to our visit because our tour started early the next day. I would recommend staying elsewhere as this hotel is very basic with its amenities and food. My partner and I did not believe it was worth the $100 cost for two nights. It is based in the CBD of Kenya so leaving the hotel to explore the city was eerily at times - my partners necklace was actually snatched from around her neck even though it was hidden (luckily it was not expensive).

The following morning we were picked up by another driver to meet the rest of the tour group. We met our driver Stanley who was fantastic and cannot recommend him enough. He took us to see every animal listed on the website and his knowledge of the areas he took us too was very good. He answered every question we asked and helped us if we were stuck with anything. He looked after us as a group and made sure we were all completely satisfied with our journey.

Accommodation at the campsites were as expected (because of the price you pay for the whole package). Food at all places are buffet but selection is not fantastic. The campsite next to the Maasai Mara was a great experience though.

Overall, the experience was great and it will hold brilliant memories for us forever. However, the trip we had went a bit sour towards the end as we had extras in our package which we paid for on arrival but were then changed. After much deliberation, we finally had what was agreed but this did take a lot of time when discussed with the tour operator. There were many messages back and forth which were needless. There had also been another instance on the tour where our driver had taken us to an excursion but our tour operator did not tell the driver my partner and I had paid already for it as part of our package. This could have become very tricky for one of us and someone could could have been out of pocket. This should have been discussed and organised prior to us. I do not feel the situation was necessary or my issue to fix but I was the one to fix this problem. It would have been extremely difficult if I did not have a SIM card (also recommended by the tour operator not to get beforehand).

I would recommend this experience to everyone as it was once in a lifetime opportunity. However, I have learnt a few lessons from this:
1) Make sure you get what you pay and you keep on top of what is offered so you are not swindled out of any money.
2) Be fluid and have a positive attitude as plans can change daily - detailed plans changed completely but we do what was listed.
3) Bring a high powered power bank and a SIM card at the airport as some places of stay do not have internet or working electricity all day.

I liked Liwonde National Park. I think that it's an unknown gem. Nyika and Lake Malawi were fine.

We really enjoyed our trip in Tanzania with Ndutu Adventures. Saw a lot of wild animals, with a special thanks to Andrew our guide who did a terrific job in spotting the animals and always being at the right place to make great pictures and enjoy the action!. The places, food and scenery are wonderfull. We appreciated the quick responses from the reservations Really can recommend this tour company to anyone planning to travel to East Africa!

First we went to Tarangire National Park and then Ngorongoro Crater. We loved it both but Ngorongoro was another world.

Summit to Uhuru
5/5

I have now had two expeditions with Focus in Africa, group based in Ausha and lead by Nelson Mbise.
The team of guides, deputy guides, chef, porters and other support staff made our climb to Uhuru peak very special.
In August our group was lead into mountains by Babalu (infectious smile) and Charles (humming Masai songs on summit night). I cannot thank them enough.

Amazing game drives, great guide - 19 days of wonderful
5/5

Planning our trip with Alex Friere by email and skype was part of the fun. He created a 19-day African holiday that fit us perfectly - our interests, time and $$. We were taken care of from pick up at the airport in Johannesburg to Kasane and Chobe National Park in Botswana, through to Victoria Falls and then to Durban and up to Kwalazulu Natal reserves, and finally to our drop off at the airport for our flight home. We enjoyed wonderful game drives (by boat and truck) from Garden Lodge in Kasane and staff there were great-wonderful hospitality. Accommodations in the Drakensburg, Durban, St. Lucia, Kosi Bay and Tembe were all different and all lovely - always good food, with kind and hospitable staff. We hiked in the Drakensburg. We snorkelled - saw wonderful colourful fish. Canoed African style. Enjoyed lots of bird watching and always saw game. We did see the big five - leopard sighting was lucky! And so much more - the wildlife watching was truly amazing. Alex was a thoughtful and knowledgeable guide and very supportive of us as amateur photographers. His travel plans and arrangements were flawless and gave us options along the way, with time to explore, chill, even shop. We did not know that we could have a private, made-for-us safari and we are so glad to have found Unique-Safari.

Awesome Pilanesburg Full-Day Safari
Overall rating
5/5

My friends and I did the Sunrise Safari at Pilanesberg with Mmilo Tours. Our safari started super early in the morning where our driver Willem promptly picked us up from our hotel in Johannesburg. Willem was fantastic! He was knowledgable and provided great communication throughout our tour. He did his best to get as close up as he could to as many animals as he could. We saw 3 of the big 5 as the cats were not out during our safari, but seeing all of the other animals was just as great. We got so many nice photos and video. It was well worth it and I really enjoyed my overall experience. I would highly recommend this to others. Also, Mmilo Tours provided great communication before and after the safari. We had no issues throughout the entire process.
