Wonderful experience, no problems
5/5

We signed up for a 10 day safari with It started in Africa in July this year. There were just two of us together with the guide Kueka and the cook Fatheli, not sure how it is spelled, Pronounced Fazili. They spoke amazingly good English and looked after us brilliantly. Both were great company, easy to be with, warm, not intrusive, and put up with us beautifully.Great food, lots of it, and modified to suit my gluten free requirements really well. Far too lovely besan flour patties for me to resist though, a wonderful change from bread, not that there is any gluten free bread in Tanzania, as far as I could tell. Kueka is an animal and bird enthusiast and really happy to take us out looking at animal as much as we liked. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge about the animal and birds and was a fantastic spotter. But he was deft in not overwhelming us with too much information. We slept in tents, with basic beds in the tent on four nights, on mattresses other nights. comfortable enough for us.(We did not opt for the luxury camping option) The vehicle was a sturdy commodious four wheel drive, which had a lift up roof for when we were looking at animals. It felt completely safe in the vehicles opened up because there are strict rules forbidding any kind of interaction with any animals in the parks. As a result, the animals go about their own business ignoring us. We are neither prey nor predator. This means they do not usually run away either, so we get close up viewing a lot. The results of feeding animals, inadvertently or otherwise, are obvious in the permit office areas on the edge of the parks where baboons attempt to get into vehicles to get at food and can be dangerous. There were an incredible variety and number of animals and birds in the four parks we visited. It started with a large family herd of elephants, together with ten or so zebra and a similar number of wildebeast fifty metres inside the boundary of our first park and it just carried on like that. We had one long drive or two shorter drives in a park each day. We visited Tangarire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti National Parks. We stayed in public camping grounds some kilometres from the first three parks. In the Serengeti, we stayed in the middle of the park, about three hours game drive in, seeing lions, ostriches, baboons, giraffes etc on the way. The Serengeti camp was open to animals (No fences nor a man with a gun to scare the big animals off!) and there was elephant poo by our tents. We got up one night to find several zebra grazing close by. Elephants spent a lot of time by the shower block one afternoon. Lions roared in the distance one night. I was a bit nervous getting up in the night but no-one else worried. The camping grounds have a large kitchen for the cooks and a large dining hall for us to eat in, all covered over, and netted in and with power and point points for chargers, not that they all work all the time. The whole trip was fairly comfortable and fun and just wonderful in terms of seeing animals.

Awesome safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro
5/5

My two friends and I had a great experience with Jackpot Safaris. We went on a 3 day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro and everything exceeded our expectations. Andrew made all the planning extremely easy and was great at communicating about the potential itineraries, payment process, and what to do and expect before our safari. Our driver/guide and chef were both very personable and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and we felt safe and taken care of the whole time. I would absolutely recommend Jackpot Safaris to anyone who is trying to decide on a safari company to use in Tanzania.

Our time with Brian was entertaining, fun, interesting and unique. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have since recommended Brian and his crew to several friends, who have used his services and then went on to recommend him to others.

Thought it would be good......but it was GREAT!
5/5

Would highly recommend our tour guide Donald. Good driver, great animal spotter, knowledgeable, friendly and fun. The Matipo tented camp was a highlight. The game drives far exceeded my expectations as far as how close and how many animals we would see. We had a few last minute unforeseen changes to our group and these were handled well. Thanks for an unforgettable holiday.

A really great choice...
5/5

We just returned from a fantastic trip to Tanzania, a first safari and a first visit to Africa for both of us. My traveling companion made the initial arrangements with Vacation 2 Africa , and had nothing but positive things to say about the planning process. We visited four parks in 7 days, all accomodations were as expected and described, and both day-to-day and on the whole, I'd have to say that what saw exceeded my expectations and was really quite remarkable and memorable. Katharina and Paul, who seem to coordinate operations from Arusha, are both great to deal with, tremendously responsive and responsible. We felt that way long before we met them, after extended email exchanges and an occasional phone call. And we were even more impressed after finally meeting them, when they picked us up at the airport, and got us settled in-country.

Our driver Evans was great. Always in good spirits and endlessly patient with our cultural questions, he knew his animals and their habits, and was equally expert in navigating the human environment. He was a great driver too, we never once felt unsafe. Given the challenges of the roads and the skill level required, that in itself seemed noteworthy. All in all, I'd have to say these are really good people who did a great job taking care of us, and making sure everything went right. It did. And I think it did because of how good they were.

I would highly recommend Africa Adventures Safaris. They made the entire experience a pleasure. Olive was very helpful during the planning stage and Enos was a fantastic guide! He went out of his way to make sure everything went well. The gorilla trekking was an amazing experience. The guides and porters were very friendly and helpful!

what a fantastic experience Ute arranged for us!
5/5

This was our first experience in South Africa and we totally relied on Roho Ya Chui for the whole organization of a three weeks trip there: initially Ute gave us the proper suggestion on how to better employ our time, based on our expectations and budget, and than she selected for us four different first-class lodges for safaris in different locations and one charming boutique hotel in Cape Town. The trip was perfectly organized in every single detail with timely and accurate communication. Thank you Ute for your highly professional support, there is nothing we can complain except … that the trip is just over now and we already miss SA!
