I thought their dedication to my experience was second to none.
4/5

I had an absolutely awesome time, I experienced 6 full days of awesomeness, I must just say that it might have been a full five star rating if we had a little less scheduled to be able to relax for a day or so.

Excellent and varied holiday with great accommodation
4/5

We spent a second holiday with Giltedge Africa (formerly Southern Africa Travel) and enjoyed the experience again. All arrangements were made according to our agreements and there were no hiccups and the accommodation in all of the places we stayed were exceptional. An excellent apartment in Camps Bay, a wonderful game park in the Nambiti Hills, an original design lodge at the Zulu war battlefields and a luxury hotel on the coast near Durban were the highlights.
The guide at the Game Park was very experienced and committed and added to the enjoyment of seeing the wide range of animals (including the Big 5).
The tours of the battlefield were interesting although the guide was somewhat outdated in his style and attitude.
Although the whole organisation of the trip was good, the consultant on our previous trip was far more proactive than this time, but nevertheless all worked out very well and the knowledge of good accommodation of Giltedge Africa is second to none

Review about Amboseli National Park by Ellinor Johansson
Overall rating
4/5

Amboseli National Park offers a wide variety of scenic views and landscapes. Amboseli is close to Kilimanjaro and therefore especially offers nice views of the mountain, usually with animals in front. The roads are 'better' than in other parks, making it easier to drive on your own ('better' if you want to drive by your self, but worse if you want a genuine off-road experience, like in Buffalo Springs National Reserve).
When booking accommodation, make sure to do your research. We booked what a local travel agency said was a five star hotel (Serena) but it was far from! I would not recommend staying there unless three star with mainly an indian buffet is what you're seeking.
While at Amboseli, you should also go to the viewing point on top of a hill (ask at hotel where it is or if going on an arranged trip, the guide should know) for a 360 view of the park.

Get close to the animals at Nairobi National Park
Overall rating
4/5

Nairobi National Park is a great place to go if you want to see Kenyan animals up close - the animals are rather used to cars and therefore come closer than they do in other parks while still being wild.
You can make the experience into exactly what you want to - if you just want an escape from Nairobi for a couple of hours or if you want to bring a picknick and stay there the whole day. As with all safaris, it is best to go in the early morning or late evening to increase your chances of seeing animals. When I went, I did however go in the middle of the day and still saw plenty of animals (even lioness with cubs).
The day started out sunny but soon rain clouds gathered creating a beautifully dramatic landscape. Even though Nairobi National Park is smaller than other parks in Kenya, you can still feel like you are far off from the city at times - in some parts of the park you can get beautiful pictures of animals with the city skyline as a backdrop and in other parts you feel like you are in the middle of no where.
If in Nairobi, I would definitely recommend going to the Nairobi National Park but you should also take the opportunity and go to some of the larger parks / game reserves in Kenya. My favorite so far is Buffalo Springs but I have still to many more to visit! Something to keep in mind is that KWS (Kenya Wildlife Service) parks are much more expensive than other parks, especially for a non-resident, which is something to keep in mind when planning a trip to Kenya. But it's worth going!

Review about Addo Elephant National Park by crafty1tutu (Ann Cameron)

We only had about three hours there as part of a tour of the Eastern Cape, so not much time to see many animals. We did see two herds of elephants drinking at the dam which was an amazing sight to see.

Everything handled competently, and the lodges looked like just in the pictures. We were a bit anxious when we landed as we have heard so many negative stories about Africa and this was our first time. Joseph was professional and knowledgeable. Apart from a bumpy road we have returned home with happy memories. Frank.

Amazing experience
Overall rating
4/5

After starting our South Africa trip in Cape Town, Addo Elephant National Park was the first self drive safari we did. It was an awesome experience. We had the possibility to get realy close to giant elephant. But there is a lot more to see. We didn't see any rhino, lion or leopard, but we did see a lot of warthog, zebra's, buffalo, kudu and a lot more. It's a giant park, but it is not busy at all. This gave us the real safari feeling.

Great first safari experience
4/5

Great value for your money, great services. The camping area was great. The driver was really nice and he was very patient showing and telling us about the region. The cook did a great job for our meals. Just stay at another hotel than the one they offer for free.

Great experience aided by an excellent driver/guide. Saw all the big game, bar Leopards, well pleased
4/5

George delivered on his promises of quality service and standards. It was my first safari in Kenya and I didn't appreciate the distances between game reserves. We had an excellent safe driver, a big bonus. He was knowledgeable and got us as close as possible to the game. I got what I paid for and felt it was above average value.
I would do it differently next time by spending less time on the road and more time in the game reserves. I would certainly do it through Right Choice Tours. George's was always available by phone if needed and his gesture to compensate for vehicle problems was very generous. He runs a good show and his staff are experienced and helpful. The collection and delivery service from and to the airport was much appreciated. Well done Right Choice Tours and Travel and continued success.
