Exceptional trip at reasonable rate.
4/5

Our safari trip in Tanzania and stay in Zanzibar were exceptional. Our guide Emmanuel was excellent. During our 6 days with him, he made sure we saw the big nine up close and personal. Because he taught us patience, we had unique animal experiences that we will never forget. From the time Emmanuel picked us up at Mt. Kilimanjaro airport, he made sure we were well cared for and comfortable. He was knowledgeable and his English communications skills made it easy. We had a snafu with airport pick-up in Zanzibar, but all was worked out within 2 hours of our arrival. We had 3 days at a nice beach hotel but wish that we had stayed 2 nights at the beach and 2 nights at a hotel in Old Stone Town. One day in Stone Town was not enough. We knew it was a little risky, but we booked direct with Regional Tours. Without the middle man costs, our trip was affordable. Our safari lodging was very good and Regional Tours accommodated my request to stay at the Ngorongoro Farm House. It was lovely. For us, this was a trip of a lifetime and arrangements made through Regional Tours did not disappoint. Thank You.

Lots of rhinos, really bad roads. Not as crowded as the Kruger area, better "bush experience".

I finally saw the Serengeti
4/5

It has been a childhood dream to one day visit this mystical land with an abundance of wildlife and unique landscape. I spent 7 days in Serengeti and was astonished by the size of this national park and the eco friendly lodges that existed here, everything was perfect and we enjoyed every moment. Our driver Peter was a jolly guy with a wealth of experience, Priti from Safarihub was instrumental in putting this together. Will definitely use next time around.

South Africa is interesting!!!

I liked South Africa. Arrived on October 6th stayed in Johanesburg for two days and October 8 went by car to Haziview city ( about 15 km farway the Kruger Park. The accomodation and foods were ok. I had nice time there. I stay for 3 days and visited Kruger Park 3 times. My experience was good, but my expectation was to see more animals. The Lion and leopard I sow just one and far away. The hippopotamus was impossible to see because they were underwater. I could to see girafas, zebras, bufalo, rinoceronte, monkey, empala. … The Safari was safe and drivers good. I had short and simple options in my trip. The price was good and all happened as planned.
The trip from Johanesburg to Haziwiew was safe. The road and drivers as well.
If you have ideia to go to Safari I recommend.
The meal is good. The weather in October is hot and dry most the time. Some time rains.
Wild life is interesting!!!

It was an amazing experience while joined 3 days tour to Maasai Mera National reserved with Axis Africa Safari team. The vast plain and fruitful wildlife animal species moved around this beautiful place which I enjoyed this trip a lot. The scenes and atmosphere is quick diversified than Asia's that re-caped my memories of "Lion King" of movie session. To visit Maasai vibe village also is another new experience that realized the traditional life style and modern new technique conflicted each other in their daily life and habitat area . This also made Maasai vibe struggling to find out a new way out with mobilization.

However, this is a pleasant journey being worth taking time to see around and experienced place. Highly recommended.

I lived in Botswana 1975-78. The development hasbeen amazing in the capital, and regardingvthe roads . The wildlife is very interesting and impressive. We saw all the «big five» , several lions, lots of buffaloes and elephants, rhinos in the sanctuary and lots of hippos. For us it was specialbto meet some people I have metnbefore. Lodging and food and security no problem. Botswana is highly recommended. But this time it was a bit too hot, and too dry, but still with quite many green bushes and trees

A truly magical experience, taking me hundreds of years back in time!

Ngorongoro crater is a truly special and unique place. I arrived at Ngorongoro close to sunset, pitched the tent and rested for the exciting day to come.

On waking up early the next morning, the whole place was covered in fog. The slow descend from the 2100m peak to the bottom set the pace followed by an increase in my heart beat from emotions and expectations. As the 4WD went down and the mist slowly faded away, a feeling of time travel to the past filled the atmosphere.

Surprisingly, the first animals spotted were cows, taken care by Maasai farmers. As explained by our guide, they manage to live in harmony with the predators in the crater (apparently the Maasai rub the bodies of the cattle with a smelly protective herb in order to keep lions away.) What a surprise to witness cows and wild predators living so close to each other.

As the vehicle drove along the caldera roads, wildlife popped up like popcorns. In fact, this place has one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa.

Roaming along we came across ostriches, buffalos, wildebeests, zebras, elephants and many different birds. These are cool animals for first time safaris but the interesting game was yet to come.

Lions were resting on the road and along the side of the road like true kings. Probably their last moments in the open before going away to rest for the day.

Lions are nocturnal and sleep up to 20 hours a day. One can tell they are nocturnal because the area below their eyes is white, just like leopards, to reflect moonlight. Cheetahs, on the other hand, hunt during the day and have black stripes to aid their vision.

We saw a lioness guiding her 4 cubs to safety in the tall grass before leaving for a hunt. It was impossible to tell where the cubs were just moments after their mother left them. We didn't follow the hunt and continued roaming in this nostalgic and amazing reserve until after lunch.

A truly magical time travelling experience, the ancient caldera definitely lives up to its name.

A must see.
