Wonderful experience! Great guide!
5/5

As I was searching for a good company to organize my safari, a friend recommended me Elkan Safaris. Everything was smoothly arranged by email. They picked us up at the hotel in the beginning and took us to the airport the day after we finished the safari.
We did a 4 day/3 night camping safari and our schedule was all according to plan: one day in Lake Manyara, sunset and sunrise in Serengueti, one night and one day in Ngorongoro.
Everything went quite well. Our tents were good, the food was diverse and more than enough and, most of all, our guide Henri was absolutely ammazing!! He could spot an animal anywhere while driving and he got us really close to the wildlife whenever possible. Moreover, he told us a lot of usefull and interesting information about all kinds of animals.
I would definately recommend everybody to do a safari in Africa: it is a wonderful and unique experience. Elkan Safari was the perfect company to organize it and for a good price, comparing to other companies.

Most pleasant and exciting Safari experience with It Started in Africa
5/5

We spent a full week on a Safari with "It Started in Africa" and our most reliable and experienced guide Jackson during our honeymoon. Everything was very well managed since our very first contact during the booking of the trip. The entire staff is honest, dedicated and helpful. Jackson knows everything about the parks, the animals and whatever you may want to know during a Safari. He has been a most professional driver and guide. We definitely recommend a Safari with It Started in Africa.

Very personal contact, very good value for money, price transparency,
5/5

Everything was perfectly organized. We had a special tour coming from Rwanda and starting a Safari at Mwanza endig in Arusha). And for ex. our driver Fred frisky, enjoyable and cautious (it's a must).

We specially appreciated two issues: price transparency (many other offers we asked for had just a price we couldn't comprehend) and the fact that etrip cooperates with small lokal providers. That made our trip at least a little bit sustainable. (There are f.e. huge Indian providers).

We even where helped by Ben (general manager), when our trip had already ended: the day after we had lost our connecting flight to Zanzibar we had booked by our self (let it book by Ben's at local partners!). Ben procured a convenient accommodation in Arusha and even spent with us the evening in a Ethiopian restaurant, very kind.

So we would book without doubt again with etrip.

A unique experience
5/5

A great way to explore another culture, nature and wildlife in Uganda. This is the best way to see lots of the country. There's plenty of (optional) activities so you won't ever be bored. Through hiking you'll even see more of Uganda's fascinating nature. We had a great driver who knew a lot about Uganda's history, wildlife, culture and so on. We learned a lot from him and he was always very helpful and friendly. Matoke Tours helps you to adjust the program (if necessary) according to your wishes. The lodges were very beautifully located, the service was great.
A trip we definitely recommend!

Our trip was one of the best in our lives-fabulous guide, beautiful animals, lovely accommodations.
5/5

The safari MORE than met our expectations. The service was impeccable. It was delightful to feel so cared for by so many lovely people. Candlelight meals under the stars were above and beyond the "camping" experience we had expected. Our guide, Stanford took care of us in every situation including a bit of a confrontation with locals, and another situation in which we were stuck in the mud, quite near a female lion, also when others were hopelessly bogged down in the mud at nightfall, he pulled them out too. He was equipped for every situation and more than competent. Our lives were in his hands and I felt he was cautious and aware of our surroundings at all times, while at the same time bringing us close to the animals. He was very knowledgeable and taught us a lot about the animals, the land and the people. If by communication, you mean Willow, who handled our travel arrangements, she was endlessly patient in explaining and helping us decide where we wanted to go. Willow was away on maternity leave while we were on the safari itself, but Polly was incredibly helpful in rearranging our travel arrangements, when I had to leave and return to the US before our trip ended.

Great adventure with a great team
5/5

Davis is an excellent guide that made my safari in Ruaha to be the best I have ever done. He is a very reliable person and capable of seeing a lot of animals and good at following foot prints (He once saw a totally hidden 1m long lizard in a tree while driving). I also stayed with Davis in a camp that he organized in the middle of the bush. It was very authentic and the cook and assistant he chose were great and helpful persons too. We had long and interesting discussions in the evening after dinner. My experience with Davis is 100% positive. I am looking forward to going back on safari with him.

Trustworthy,Efficient,Well co-ordinated
4/5

We a couple booked a tour with Kenya Survivors. They definitely are efficient and well co-ordinated beginning with quick response from Mr. Otieno for all our queries. There was no question, unanswered by our driver,Fred. He was putting all efforts to show us the best., not forgetting our cook Jacob. Accomodation at Kibo Safari camp Amboseli was superb, once a lifetime experience, Mara Sidai camp accomodation could have been a little bettter. Overall, no complaints with Kenya Survivors.

“Friendly-Excellent company that goes above and beyond”
5/5

Went on safari and Kilimanjaro climb with Africa Migration safaris. Excellent experience. Africa Migration safaris was the most responsive of the several companies we contacted to ask about trip options. Julias, the co-owner personally handles correspondences, and you can tell she cares. When out airline lost our luggage, Julias and his staff helped to ensure we got it back before our Kili climb, even though it was Saturday afternoon and the office was closed.

Safari and Kili climb were both well planned and executed. We highly recommend Africa Migration safaris for Safari and Kili climb.
