Efficient, knowledgeable and spot on recommendations.
5/5

We were looking for a secretive and relaxing getaway on Tanzania's Mafia island. Paul Tickner Safaris' first recommendation was Ras Mbizi lodge and it was absolutely spot on. Deserted beach, wonderful staff, great food, interesting activities, all for a very reasonable price. PTS booked flights and nights efficiently and professionally, keeping us informed every step of the way. Highly recommended!

Excellent!
5/5

I have known Makasa Safari in internet. After a long correspondence with Selma we "built" the perfect holiday.
8 day safari to Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro and a week in Zanzibar.
Flawless organization from the welcome at the airport, excellent facilities and accomodations, the guide (Humphrey) really prepared and professional.
I have to thank Makasa for allowing me to live a dream.

The service with regards the booking was efficient and friendly.
4/5

All of the arrangements worked out well. We saw several different parks across two countries and all ran as smoothly as could be expected. The drivers were authentically knowledgeable and interested.

I would recommend this company. They do their best to make everything special.

With Wildlife Safaris you are in good hands
4/5

My son and I did the 4 day classic Safari. From the first exchanges, through the Q&As, organisational aspects, paperwork and tour itself Wildlife Safaris were responsive, helpful and very professional. We were a group of 6. Hoppy was a great guide, very friendly and good humoured. He was worried that the food at the camp might not be good, but it was perfect. We saw all the big five, and much more: cheetah, hyenas....Standard accommodation (bungalows) was well equipped and tidy. Weather was cold in the morning and evening and pleasant during the day. Day 4 consisted mainly in a quick last safari on the way out, breakfast and travel back. Hoppy is a fast driver who should keep more distance with the vehicles in front. I am satisfied with Wildlifesafaris and happily recommend them.

Unforgettable Moments
5/5

All aspects were excellent. We had 7 days in Kenya and spent it visiting the Amboseli, Samburu and Masai Mara. We were welcomed warmly after the long flight and immediately felt at home. Food was fantastic at the Serena Lodges we stayed. We saw the big five and our favorite were the lions. The staff is great and always helpful. We are thankful to our safari guide Moses for making this long awaited safari a success beyond our expectations. KUDOS

Thanks for organizing this amazing trip! Dinner at Emerson Spice was exceptional. Pemba very personal and friendly. Safari was perfect. Nice and knowledgeable guide, marvellous lodges, and the animals were our friends. We could take some exceptional pictures. Lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, ...... everybody was around, and paid us a visit just beside our car.

Wonderful experience, no problems
5/5

We signed up for a 10 day safari with It started in Africa in July this year. There were just two of us together with the guide Kueka and the cook Fatheli, not sure how it is spelled, Pronounced Fazili. They spoke amazingly good English and looked after us brilliantly. Both were great company, easy to be with, warm, not intrusive, and put up with us beautifully.Great food, lots of it, and modified to suit my gluten free requirements really well. Far too lovely besan flour patties for me to resist though, a wonderful change from bread, not that there is any gluten free bread in Tanzania, as far as I could tell. Kueka is an animal and bird enthusiast and really happy to take us out looking at animal as much as we liked. He had an encyclopaedic knowledge about the animal and birds and was a fantastic spotter. But he was deft in not overwhelming us with too much information. We slept in tents, with basic beds in the tent on four nights, on mattresses other nights. comfortable enough for us.(We did not opt for the luxury camping option) The vehicle was a sturdy commodious four wheel drive, which had a lift up roof for when we were looking at animals. It felt completely safe in the vehicles opened up because there are strict rules forbidding any kind of interaction with any animals in the parks. As a result, the animals go about their own business ignoring us. We are neither prey nor predator. This means they do not usually run away either, so we get close up viewing a lot. The results of feeding animals, inadvertently or otherwise, are obvious in the permit office areas on the edge of the parks where baboons attempt to get into vehicles to get at food and can be dangerous. There were an incredible variety and number of animals and birds in the four parks we visited. It started with a large family herd of elephants, together with ten or so zebra and a similar number of wildebeast fifty metres inside the boundary of our first park and it just carried on like that. We had one long drive or two shorter drives in a park each day. We visited Tangarire, Manyara, Ngorongoro and the Serengeti National Parks. We stayed in public camping grounds some kilometres from the first three parks. In the Serengeti, we stayed in the middle of the park, about three hours game drive in, seeing lions, ostriches, baboons, giraffes etc on the way. The Serengeti camp was open to animals (No fences nor a man with a gun to scare the big animals off!) and there was elephant poo by our tents. We got up one night to find several zebra grazing close by. Elephants spent a lot of time by the shower block one afternoon. Lions roared in the distance one night. I was a bit nervous getting up in the night but no-one else worried. The camping grounds have a large kitchen for the cooks and a large dining hall for us to eat in, all covered over, and netted in and with power and point points for chargers, not that they all work all the time. The whole trip was fairly comfortable and fun and just wonderful in terms of seeing animals.

Awesome safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro
5/5

My two friends and I had a great experience with Jackpot Safaris. We went on a 3 day safari to Serengeti and Ngorongoro and everything exceeded our expectations. Andrew made all the planning extremely easy and was great at communicating about the potential itineraries, payment process, and what to do and expect before our safari. Our driver/guide and chef were both very personable and knowledgeable. The food was amazing and we felt safe and taken care of the whole time. I would absolutely recommend Jackpot Safaris to anyone who is trying to decide on a safari company to use in Tanzania.

Our guide, Brian, was fantastic - very accomodating and knowledgeable.
5/5

Our time with Brian was entertaining, fun, interesting and unique. We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I have since recommended Brian and his crew to several friends, who have used his services and then went on to recommend him to others.
