We stayed at Lalibela private game reserve - tree tops. What a truly wonderful experience. From the second we arrived every member of staff was fantastic. We were welcomed with a welcome drink and shown around, i mean woah just woah the location was beautiful and the accommodation was better than expected (i was expecting alot). food and drinks were plentiful and very dietary accommodating. our tour guide was a lovely lady named sarah, who was basically an animal whisperer, she was so knowledgable and tried her hardest to find every animal we wished to see. Lailbela is full of animals and loads of babies !!! would recommend a thousand times over !!! thanks

About: Tanzania
A terrific combination of experiencing very remote as well as very often visited places of Tanzania

Even the leopard was there! Lots of elephants and lions very close - lions also resting in the trees, wildebeests giving birth just in front of us, a large group of rhinos - at distance, large groups of zebras, wildebeests and gazelles "on the run"/migrating, lots of hippos, looking like stones in a mud hole - and suddenly emerging from the mud with a big yawn ….. We have seen and met much more wildlife and birds than expexcted - Mountain areas, waterfalls, wonderful sceneries as well in the mountains as on the grassland. The weather much better than expected, although we also tried heavy rain, lightning and thunder (at night!)! Very different national parks - good choices!
And almost all accommodations far beyond expectation - only in two of 11-12 places we stayed in, we had a few - minor - comments, all basic things was very well functionin! The food was usually very fine - or at least reasonable, but we often had a long service time!! Transportation: A superb driver, but the poor man had a LOT of work with the maintenance/repair of the rather old and "tired" safari car, safety equipment not really existing? OK.! He did a really good job and was very helpful and serviceminded! We had far more than "value for money"!! THANKS!

A perfect safari tour

7 unforgetable safari days perfectly planned by Tourlane and implemented by Leopard Tours.

We want to thank our german speaking guide Issa Andrews who showed us the land and the people and never got tired of our questions. He always answered them for us with such expercise.

His knowlegde of german was very good and his sense for the wildlife helped us for more and unforgetable sights.

As a foreseeing driver and with his calmness he always gave us a feeling of security. With that we enjoyed our safari without boundaries.

Leopard Tours is a competent company that will also be in future our first choice.

About: Tanzania
Fantastic Trip of a Lifetime
Overall rating
5/5

I had been on a safari the the Massai Mara in Kenya before, but this time I took my entire family. Wife, 2 kids (9 and 10) and my aging parents. Tanzania did not let us down. We did the northern loop (Tarangire, Manyara, Crater, Serengeti) and saw so much wildlife that we still think about it a year later. The landscapes are beautiful and the animals are breathtaking.

Some of the spots like the crater and around central serengeti are busy. Your guide makes your trip hands down. If you have an guide that just cares about time and not his clients, you will have a less than great stay. Our guide went above and beyond to cater to our every need and what we wanted to get out of each day. go to the busy areas first and then branch out to see what Tanzania has to offer. I recommend not staying in the large "tourist processing centers" but the tented camps.....What an adventure.

I cannot wait to go back.

We were very satisfied with Bright African Safaris. We saw lots of big game, and beautiful scenery. Our guide and driver (Juma) was excellent. Not only was he very knowledgeable about wildlife, he was friendly and eager to take us everywhere to see the animals at the best possible locations.

Safari was amazing, booking agent was brilliant and very helpful, answered every email and question I had and organised transfers very well. Stayed at kichwa tempo which was beautiful, it had a very personal touch, the lodges were perfect and the food was lovely. Our guide was brilliant and went out his way to make sure we see whatever we was interested in. Weather was hot in day time slightly cold of night time and early mornings. Overall had one of the best times in my life here was absolutely perfect.

I could not have imagined a better company with better tourguides

Traveling to Uganda? This is why you should consider Cul Tours!

I have been travelling a lot as a backpacker, I aim for the real, cultural and local experience. In a country like Uganda you need a "key" to enter these local experiences and get heart to heart with the people and their culture, and for me, this key was Cul Tours. I have never met a guide, let me say human being, that was so eager to provide the ultimate customer service, so caring and flexible to my wants and needs!

Communication is straight forward and fast, the company is run by Ugandans. It's definitely possible to stitch together a tour that suits you with the things you find most interesting - on a side-note I recommend to discuss with them and listen to their recommendations, they really do have vast knowledge of Uganda.

I asked for local, I got local! They took me to dance in a village, had me taste all the wondrous and peculiar foods, took me hiking in Sipi Falls and Mount Elgon - dined with a local family, drank locally brewed traditional beer (was even offered the full ceremony including circumcision, but humbly turned down the offer). Walked through a fishing community, tasted their dried fish and embraced all the curious and excited children that rarely see white people... I slept in clay and straw huts, they're fantastic to sleep in because they're cool in the nights.

I visited orphanages, there's a particular one in the West Nile Region in Koboko at the border of South Sudan and Congo that stole my heart.

I also went for the safaris, and they are as you might expect if you've watched National Geographic, Animal Planet etc., amazing experience - though you do see many tourists, you don't see them much when on the actual safaris and it doesn't feel crowded, unless it's the boat safari.

When it comes to expectations, I must say they were not only met but exceeded. There are other, larger companies in Uganda but the word goes they're too mainstream and boring, with Cul Tours you'll be sure to be in for an extraordinary experience.

I'll visit Uganda again, and I'll ask for Cul Tours' guide Stephen - the most sympathetic, understanding and smiling man of Uganda.

Love, Martin
