The safari in Chobe National Park was fantastic! We saw lions, hippos, giraffes & crocodiles day 1.

Chobe National Park is a gem! Our guides were very patient and knew a lot about animals. We drove in open jeeps and had great access to photograph the beautiful birds and wild-life that we saw.
The park is teeming with life! We witnessed a pregnant giraffe, playful baboons, kissing hippos, grazing elephants ( swimming elephants, nursing elephants - over 200,000 elephants in Botswana) an angry lion and many impalas and kudus. The scenery was lush and green and the Chobe river was full of fabulous surprises like hippos and crocodiles! Do go!

About: Kenya
A unique experience with the wild

It started with the beautiful weather sunshine during the day with a light breeze around 20 deg celcius.. cold in the night but it was ok in the tent and enjoyed the campfire in the common areas at the camp.
The masai mara safari in a 4x4 Land Cruiser and stay in a camp in this beautiful natural reserve is not to be missed..we stayed for 2 nights in Ashnil Mara camp; overall the service was nice, pleasant staff and food was good .. we really enjoyed the game drives and the whole experience in the wild with our tour guide Martin from Earthwings Tours and Safaris.
We didn’t have much time to explore Nairobi but we enjoyed our tree house stay in Ngong and Talisman restaurant is not to be missed for its decoration, ambiance, food, service; enjoyed a super delightful lunch and the art exhibition across the restaurant..
we definitely recommend the trip to Kenya!

Great safari experience!
4/5

We got a very good safari experience. Our guide picked us up was very nice and good at their cause. The trip from Dar es Salaam to the camp would take about 6 hours, but it took almost 9 hours for us when it was very many stops on the way to buy various things such as food, fruits, etc. We were not informed about this, which pulls down the score a bit when it became stressful when we arrived.
The camp is very close to nature. We had paid for a "luxury tent", which had its own shower and toilet. However, very basic and no AC / fan. Are you prepared for this it works very well, but we got a slight surprise.
The safari was at all really good! We were ourselves in the car with the guide and got to see a lot of animals, such as zebra, lion, giraffe, buffalo, crocodile, wildebeest, hippos etc .. We are very pleased with it.
The food at the camp also get good grades. We had a private chef who cooked three course meal that tasted really good!
We want to add extra weight to our guide who made the experience into something extraordinary! He was very knowledgeable and could answer any questions we had.

We were maybe just extremely lucky but in mammals we saw the Golden Rump ElephantShrew (4x), an Adlers Duiker another Suni(?) Shrews and a civet.
The bird experience was amazing: We saw the Amani sunbird; Sokoke Pipit; Sokoke Scops Owl; Forest weaver; Woodpeckers; Spotted Ground Thrush Bee-eater; as well as a number of horn bills and black kites.
Our experience in the forest started at 6 in the morning and we left the forest the afternoon. The guide assisted me a lot to follow the Pipit until I got a photo of it. The photo of the Amani Sunbird also clear to identify the bird but the distance was quite far.
I would recommend anybody to go very early and be very patient and prepared to walk long distances in hot and humid conditions.

About: Uganda
Very interesting place to visit.
Overall rating
4/5

We traveled to Uganda in January to make a tour for two weeks with Maraka Tours and Safaris. We visited seven national parks and saw lots of interesting animals, especially birds, and plants. One of the highlights was watching shoebills in Mabamba swamp. We saw two of them and many other birds. Gorilla trekking was also quite an experience even though it was very hard to walk up and down in the muddy environment. Chimpanzees were also exciting to see in their own environment. All the birds: hornbills, turacoos, kingfishers, bee-eaters, storks, egrets, herons and many others were also breathtaking. In the last day of our safari we visited Rhino Sanctuary which was also a great experience. And wonderful butterflies in many places. The lodges we stayed in were mostly very nice and clean and the personnel very friendly and helpful. Weather was in Southern Uganda quite pleasant, in Northern part very hot. We were taked good care of and felt safe in all places.

About: Biwakwango
A pleasant and interesting experience
4/5

Each year we travel during 2 weeks ( little groups : maximum 12 people ) to discover a new country, and we are looking for agencies which are able to help us to discover classical places but also places "off the beaten track" and make new experiences . We appreciate a professional guide ( good organisation + good relationship with the members of the group + good knowledge of the country ) .
This year, with Thierry and the tour "Route des Jardins", the objective has been fullfilled !
Thank you very much Thierry for all these beautiful, pleasant and interesting moments !
I apologize for my english !
