Everything in Africa was as expected except hotter. The view of the animals was awesome. The food was terrific. Our travel company, Kruger Park Travel, took very good care of us.

Regional Tours is the way to go. Although obviously not guaranteed, we saw the big 5 animals and many many more. There seemed to be a constant flow of some kind of animal to look at, and if not the scenery was always beautiful and unique to what I am used to. We went during the short rains period, but only got rained on once for maybe 10 minutes, but honestly I wouldn't have minded more. Seeing a small storm or rain clouds closing in on you from the plains of the Serengeti was just another surreal view. Our accommodations were more than enough. We chose the private luxary tour. Kubu Kubu was by far our favorite, but all were great. Food was enjoyable. The toyota land cruiser was nice and provided the two of us more than enough room. The best part of our safari was no doubt our guide. Novatus from Regional tours was the best, and he is no doubt what made our safari so incredible. Fun to talk to, super informative on anything, great sense of humor, interesting the list goes on. Looking back on our safari i think the Tour guide could be a make or break for us, Nova made it what it was. We had so many highlights and our safari along with Nova will be in our memories forever. Thank you Regional Tours.

An unforgettable vacation

We booked our safari through Serene Safaris and could not have had a more wonderful time. The professionalism of the Agency (Peter) was magnificent throughout....from the planning (and the many questions) to the arrangement and accommodations for the safari were perfect. Our guide (Peter - different Peter) was absolutely wonderful. Knowledgeable not only in the wildlife but on everything Kenya. There wasn't a question he could not answer, was always super pleasant, knew the parks like the back of his hand and knew the patterns and favorite locations of the animals during any portion of the day. We booked a six day journey and traveled to Nakuru National Park, Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. We saw all the animals (hundreds of elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, antelopes, gazelles and many others) and some unforgettable sites along the way. The trips in between the parks we were able to see Kenya both old and new. We traveled in a Toyota safari van which was a great way to travel. The accommodations that were arranged were very comfortable, clean with hot water and wifi at each location. The food was plentiful and good. The weather during our trip could not have been better with clear warm days everyday. The last morning at Amboseli we had a breath taking view of Mount Kilimanjaro which made for a great family photo. The people of Serene Safaris really did a great job and I highly recommend them. Our sincere thanks to Peter and Peter for an unforgettable family vacation!!! WELL DONE!!

About: Kenya
It's an amazing experience to see all the "zoo" animals in the wild

The wildlife and scenery of Kenya were truly amazing. We went in December and had great weather (not too hot) and everything was green and beautiful. Animals are everywhere. Be prepared for lots of time in a car; from the travel among the parks to the game drives themselves, much of the day is spent in the car unless you specifically plan for activities. Make sure you get plenty of cash in Nairobi for souvenirs and tips - there are no ATMs in the usual tourist areas outside of the city, though US dollars and Euros were accepted just about everywhere. It's a beautiful country with friendly people. We only had 5 days there, but truly enjoyed it.

Go2Africa handled our safari, a total of 11 days start to finish and four different camps and our family could not be happier. Maureen Stover was exceptional and handled all the details. We saw the Big 5 in the first 2 days! The &Beyond staff and guides were incredible and so knowledgeable!! This was a dream vacation made absolutely incredible by this company! We would book with them again in a heartbeat!

I was lucky enough to do safaris as three different places during my trip - one by bicycle and two in 4x4. My favourite was the Mkhaya Game Reserve. We did both sunset and sunrise safari drives and the wildlife, scenery and overall experience were incredible. The staff at the lodge are incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, welcoming and go our of their way to make your visit special. Mkhaya has a much more relaxed feel than some of the other reserves that we traveled to - everything is quite laid back, the 4x4 are a bit older and more battered and it doesn't feel quite as corporate as the other reserves - this is all a good thing in my view! It feels as though the staff genuinely want to give you the best possible time, not just make money from your visit.

The accommodation and the food were incredible - open-sided, thatch roofed lodges and eating outside under the stars - perfect. We were incredibly lucky with the wildlife spotting and saw both black and white rhino, hippo, giraffe, warthog, zebra etc etc. We saw a lot of rhino are were able to get pretty close to them, which was amazing!

About: Go2Africa
An Amazing experience!
5/5

I worked with Ramona Rubach to plan a 2 weeks vacation in Southern Africa, including Malawi, Cape Town and Safari. She was excellent in guiding us through the initial planning, recommending accommodations and itinerary to fit our style and interests. She is always timely and thorough in her communication with us. She is also very resourceful in securing an excellent safari lodge for us.
The accommodations are safe, comfortable allowing us to immerse with local activities. The travel guides assigned are knowledgable and friendly. The safari lodge "Jackalberry" is top notch. We are pampered with the services and food. Game drives are productive. We saw all big 5 twice during our stay, plus the elusive cheetah!
We will definitely ask Go2Africa to plan our next African adventure!
