The Most amazing safari ever
5/5

Amazing safari in Maasai mara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro
We had booked our 7 days safari with Back Of Africa Adventure about a year in advance and they took care of everything for us. Allison was always there to help us plan out our safari because our dates were not flexible, reaching Back Of Africa Adventure by email, telephone or skype was very simple and the staffs are really helpful.

Our port of arrival and departure was Nairobi airport in Kenya and Back Of Africa Adventure were so kind to arrange for our transportation to the national parks and our safari guide Gordon was a careful driver guide who understands the African roads very well.
We visited Maasai mara, Serengeti, Ngoro Ngoro and Lake Manyara all the Sopa Lodges booked and suggested by our contact person Ms. Allison were exclusive and gorgeous hotels, with wifi services.

Gordon, our tour guide was very keen on our experience within the Serengeti and was well informed about the animals, plants, and birds and very enthusiastic to show us the beauty of the plains of Africa.

After 7days of an unforgettable experience, I must say that Back Of Africa Adventure left us with a very good taste of Kenya and Tanzania and with an appetite for coming back to the maasais mara , Serengeti and Ngorongoro for another nourishing adventure.

I recommend Back Of Africa Adventure to anyone wanting to visit Kenaya and Tanzania.

About: Uganda
Magic
Overall rating
5/5

The main reason for us to go to Uganda were the mountain gorillas. And we can say that the trip was only worth it. But we were very positively surprised how much more the country has to offer! Fortunately we also decided for a five day trip to the Rwenzori Mountains, at our special request HomeToAfrica adapted the offer accordingly. The landscape was really fantastic, it was often like in Avatar, so beautiful and strange were the plants and mountains to us in this area and we took countless photos on the way to Weismann Peak. The view from up there on Margherita Peak, the highest mountain of Uganda, was really impressive and as a moderately fit mountaineer you could feel the height of 4620m on the last meters of the ascent.

In general one can say that on the "normal" safaris there are unfortunately less animals than in some other African countries, but with increasing tendency the populations are obviously growing. In the past civil wars many animals either fled or were killed. The current rigorous protective measures are already bearing fruit. But the chimpanzees in Kibale and Gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest were very impressive and could be admired and photographed at close range.

Despite his young age, our guide seemed very experienced, calm and confident. Like all the people we met in Uganda he was always very friendly and cheerful. We felt very comfortable with him, were a team.

The food was always very tasty, both in the luxurious lodges and in the sometimes somewhat rudimentary huts in the mountains - everyone tried hard to make this experience unforgettable for us.

As far as accommodation is concerned, our travel agency has really chosen very carefully selected spots for us, we find it very difficult to name a favourite.

We were lucky with the weather for the most part. Since we were on our way towards the end of the rainy season, it rained again and again, but often only in the evening late and at night. But we would travel again at this time of the year, because we met practically no tourists, and in the mountains none at all.

We were very happy that we were on the way with an off-road vehicle. There were always some places where four-wheel drive alone would not have been sufficient.

Finally, we would say that the holidays were very worthwhile even if they were very expensive for us. Full of beautiful memories and with a great collection of animal and landscape photos we could enthusiastically share our adventures with our family and friends.

About: Namibia
Wild Wind Safaris is truly amazing. Etosha Safaris is better compare to Kruger and Botswana!

Excellent. The best compare to Botswana, Kruger or Motoba. Lots of wildlife and the park is what I perceive Africa Safari to be. It was supposed to be the beginning of Spring with rainfall, but our 3 days at Etosha had amazing weather and the bush has not grown too much to obstruct the view.

We used Wild Wind Safaris and cannot be happier. From the first phone call, to the arrangement, itinerary, transportation and the guide Rambo, all were truly amazing an highly recommended.

About: Namibia
Very poorly organised; disappointing.

Namibia, the people and the wildlife is great; but do NOT use Discovery tours. Different friends and family members have used them and they all say that their tour organisation stinks. I was a single female and on the return from Etosha with one of their drivers I frankly felt unsafe. He left me in the car at a truck stop for an hour with no explanation, was rude, played loud rap music very loud despite my complaints etc etc While at Etosha the tours were not as advertised and very limited. Other people I spoke had similar experiences

Awesome 6 days Budget Safari
5/5

We can't thank you and your team enough for the wonderful experience we had in Samburu and Masai Mara. The safari was awesome, and we have recommended Beacon Safaris to others who will be traveling to the game reserves in the upcoming months. We wouldn't have changed a thing!

Our guide, Solomon, was outstanding from start to finish. He seemed to figure us out right away. He knew where all the hotspots were to find wildlife and the other guides with other companies seemed to have a lot of respect for him. He was kind, very knowledgeable and easy to be with. The wildlife was crazy in the Lake Manyara National Park so was a great start.
Weather was perfect. Although a bit wet on the rim of the Ngorogoro Crater, it did not matter because if you waited a while, the weather changed. Also, at our Ngorogoro Lemala camp, they had a well functioning heater to heat up our tent as well as hot water bottles. Food was very good at this camp. We really couldn't believe how well we were taken care of and the staff was so kind and caring. Having a fire just before dinner was a treat as well. We were not disappointed when driving around the Crater. I feel like we saw it all including a black rhino. The Maasi were so attentive. Hot water for the shower was a perfect temperature and enough to get clean for sure. Then we drove to South Serengeti where it looked empty for the first day. Solomon drove everywhere to find wildlife but the rains were late so there was not a lot of big game. It was still so fun because we saw honey badgers, mongooses, wildebeests, zebras, a family of owls, giraffes and a Serval Cat!! When all the big animals are away, we see the little stuff. The Serengeti is beautiful when barren of large beasts.
.
We had it all including a beautiful thunderstorm kind of surrounding us at the Ndutu campsite. This site looks out on a marsh and you enjoy beautiful sunsets in front of a fire. The staff was unreal. The food we ate was unreal. Hard to believe we were in the bush. Julius, Winston, Frank and Aloys were all very attentive. We were thoroughly spoiled as well because we had the camp to ourselves for two days!!
More animals arrived on day two because of the rains the night before and it was cool watching the grass grow so fast. One night I heard a giraffe walk by our tent.
Such a great trip. Would recommend it to anyone. Thanks Tanzania!

Be detailed
3/5

Mwanje the owner is fast in answering query, we were able to agree on the price as early as November 2013 and the terms of payment, I send my deposit as a guarantee of my travel, but after a month he ask again for additional deposit which is not our agreement, nevertheless I sent the money. On the later months he said again that the price rise up due to additional park taxes which based in my research it was implemented Sept. of 2013 way behind before we agreed on the price, he add the price US$ 125.00 pr person which I don't have a choice since I already send 2 times partial payment. I also make clear that I want car with aircon and he agreed to give us a Land Cruiser car with aircon, but during our tour, the aircon is not functioning. So my advice before sending money is to have a contract that in case all your agreement be change, he will return the money or you have the option to cancel your tour.

Surprisingly abundant wildlife sightings
Overall rating
5/5

We did a 3 day safari tour of Kruger Park in an open vehicle with Simon from Wild Wings safaris. We were worried that the time would be too short but we saw an amazing abundance of wildlife. We saw many, many elephants, giraffes, rhinos, all varieties of antelope, warthogs, hyenas and even multiple lions every day. We did not find cheetah or leopard this trip but we were not disappointed.
Our guide Simon was fabulous and was excellent at finding animals and taught us a great deal. He was also a great cook. This was a great holiday.
