An excellent value for money safari
4/5

We had a four day / three night safari in Selous Game Reserve for four people, staying at Hippo Camp. Although my wife and I had been on safari before and knew what to expect, my parents (who had never travelled to Africa before) were apprehensive. We selected Usambara on the basis of the best price being offered and equally importantly for the responsiveness of Alex at Usambara to the frequent questions and specific requests that we made. Usambara were very helpful and willing to make changes to suit our tastes.

The safari itself was well organisedand problem free. We had a full itinerary (two full days in the park, a boat safari and a walking safari), which meant that we were able to see a wide variety of animal and bird life during the time in the park. Hippo Camp was conveniently located near the park entrance and offered spectacular sunsets over the Selous river each evening. Accomodation was perfectly acceptable for our budget range, and the food and service were very good. The only downside was the fact that power was turned off at 10pm, making for a hot and sweaty night without fans. All in all, a very memorable holiday.

We expected much but got way more than we imagined !
5/5

Just came back from 8 amazing days in Tanzania. We stayed one night near Arusha, 2 nights in Ngorongoro Crater Lodge and 4 nights at Nomad Lamai in the north Serengeti.
The lodges, guides and transportation were perfect. We were taken care off 100% of the time like clockwork.
The Serengeti was undoubtedly the highlight of the trip (we could have skipped Ngorongoro altogether and do 3 days in Zanzibar).
I'm very pleased with how The Luxury Safari Company took care of us and will be happy to book with them again to another Safari...

Africa Celebrity tours & Travels is the best tours company
5/5

We arrived in Kenya and were picked Muli from Africa Celebrity Tours and his team. The drive was awesome and we saw all wild animals in Masai Mara, Amboseli and has our best in our booked hotels.

I must say that you need this company to travel anywhere in Kenya.

Thanks Muli and Team. I am coming again with family.

My girlfriend and I stayed at Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge for one night and enjoyed a game drive in the National Park the following morning after which we then proceeded to Lake Ol Bollosat on the slopes of the Aberdare mountain Range and stayed one night at Kichakani cottages. We really enjoyed our stay at both places.Thank you Liz and Seven Wonders for making it all possible and we definitely hope to be back next year.

Top quality safari operations
5/5

We were taken care of in a professional and friendly way all the way through our stay with A Tent With A View. Everything we agreed on was carried out down to the last details - which we acknowledge can be difficult do to operating a business in the bush in Africa. We were picked up at the airport and driven to our place in Saadani. What a wonderful place waiting there for us. The personnel is just soo friendly and the cottages were excellent - right there on the beach with a stunning view over the Indian Ocean. Our safari vehicle was great, and so was our guide. He knew a lot about not only the big animals, but birds, reptiles, etc. which made our safari very informative and an excellent adventure. We saw so many elephants there - super excited!! We went to stay one night in their tower (Babs Camp) - can only recommend everyone going to Sadaani to spend a night in Babs Camp/The Tower- beautiful, stunning 360 view. The food at the place was plenty full and delicious. We learned so much about the company how they also are involved in many different community and conservation projects which made our choice to book through this company the right one. I would definitely use them again for my next safari - especially because a new a super exciting and very unique safari opportunity is ready to be launched soon.

5/5

It was our 1st trip to Masai Mara and photography is our passion. Robert did a great job by putting us to Ashton Chris who was our guide . Ashton , drove with heart and showed us the best action in the wild Mara. It was a great experience . We stayed in Mara for 7 nights and were able to click thousands of pictures . I would always prefer to go through Beacon safaris and would always take Ashton with us every time we make a trip. Thank you soo much guys for doing a great job.

Day fishing trip on Lake Victoria from Entebbe
5/5

The complete experience was unbelievable - the reception at the bay, the boat and equipment, drinks was cold and more than sufficient for a whole day fishing.

The guides was great although I fish regularly this was my first time fishing for Nile Perch and I managed to catch a 13, 10 and 8 kg in one day and a few smaller fish.

I can definitely recommend Kombi Tours and the guys from Wild Frontiers - they know the lake very well and just listen to the guides and I am sure you will have success.

A great organisation that is as he says flexible. Do remember you are in Africa!
4/5

Booked this trip for my father and I and not having the time to do research I trusted Kenya Walking to do it all for me.
A couple of changes I would recommend - break up your trip don't do a 10 day safari - you'll get bored even if you love animals!
- Mara is by far the best though Amboselli and Tsavo East and West does have it's advantages.
.....Different terrain and animals

Overall quite good - there was a couple of issues that Otenio sorted. A couple of horrible situations that weren't fixed immediately though a rebate was sorted. (although it wasn't the cash we were after)

We overall had an great experience and although I was extremely hesitant even to the point I was worried no one would be there to pick us up and my deposit would go astray. They were professional and dealing with the team was amazing.

I wish I could give it excellent though there is a few things that did affect the trip on a short term basis. Including some of the accomodation. Very similar to the comments I read before going on this trip... A couple of things to sort out OT and you'll have a great trip
For Zanzi bar travellers - DO NOT STAY AT DHOW INN!!!!
They stole my dad's Prada perfume, some cash - a neighbours gold necklace and I still haven't had a rebate or anything of the sort - still waiting to hear back on this one from both Paco - the owner at Dhow Inn and OT if you can do anything?

Just ruined the last bit of our holiday.

Finally DO the Gorilla Trek I was worried it wasn't worth the cash... It was! Enjoy folk - So much more to do, though 3 weeks in Africa was amazing!
