South Africa is much more beautiful than I ever imagined. Every turn was a picture.

Wildlife was amazing. Weather was cooler than expected. Scenery was much more beautiful than expected. Accommodations we booked were beautiful and the people I contacted were so friendly and hospitable. Car rental went great, roads were very nice and easily traveled. Our Safari guides were wonderful and did all they could to make our Safari successful. The only negative thing I had happen was at Tydan African Safari someone stole my money from my tent while I was on Safari, so please keep your money with you at all times.

Fantastic experience

My partner and I recently went on a 4-day, 3-night safari with Bison Safaris. Overall, we had a fantastic experience and I believe the reason for this was our guide, Alex. He went above and beyond to make the safari a positive experience for everyone. He was flexible with the safari schedule in order to facilitate members of the group in travelling onwards. This included providing additional time in the Masai Mara park on one evening. He also tried his best to locate as many animals as possible and we saw all of the Big Five. Alex was really knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He also accommodated all of our requests.
The safari was really well organised - we were picked up from our hotel on starting and dropped us to the train station at the end as we were continuing to Mombasa. Bison Safaris booked our train tickets in advance which was really helpful for us.
The accommodation was basic but clean and absolutely fine for our safari. We had two nights staying in tents in a camp. There were hot showers available and electricity ran until 10pm from a generator. Because we were up so early each morning this was actually fine. We stayed in a motel in Nakuru which was lovely - again it was clean, had hot showers, really nice. The only slight downside was the food on the safari as there wasn't much variety. The packed lunches were probably the best part.
I would definitely recommend Bison Safaris for anyone considering going to Kenya for safari.

We had high expecations and they were exceeded!

Going on safari has been my dream vacation since childhood, and my husband and I chose to visit Kenya because it's supposedly one of the best places to see giraffes, our favorite animal. I did a lot of research on my own trying to decide which parks to visit and then got in touch with a few different safari operators for quotes and recommendations.

From the very beginning of our correspondence, Edith at Kenya Safari Arcade was incredibly helpful, responsive and patient. I pestered her with tons of questions and even changed my mind about our itinerary several times, but she was always polite and happy to help.

Given how wonderful Edith had been (we emailed for several months before the trip), I was confident when we finally landed in Nairobi -- but you still never know what exactly to expect to visiting a new place for the first time. I should never have had a doubt -- a driver was waiting for us at the airport just as Edith had promised.

Following a day in Nairobi, we were picked up for our safari by our guide David, who we'd spend the next week exploring Kenya with. David was not only a great driver (on the roads in Kenya this is very important!) but incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and just enjoyable to be with. Over the course of 9 days we visited Amboseli (2 nights), Tsavo West (1 night) and Maasai Mara (3 nights). All three parks, as well as our accommodations within the parks, were incredible. I especially recommend the Sarova Salt Lick Lodge at Tsavo West (we would've stayed more than 1 night if we knew how amazing it was!) and Kichwa Tembo at Maasai Mara.

Personally, I would not try to see more parks than this in a week. Many of the itineraries I saw visited a different park every day, but you could undoubtedly be in one place for a month and see different animals every day. And even visiting just 3 parks, we still spent a huge amount of time driving.

We had high expectations for Kenya and our safari, and thanks in large part to Edith, David and Kenya Safari Arcade, our expectations were absolutely exceeded. You watch National Geographic and think you know what to expect, but nothing can prepare you to see these animals up so close in their natural habitats. I am now recommending that any of my friends or family who are remotely interested in safari find a way to make it happen. It's not a cheap or necessarily an easy trip, but it's absolutely worth it and truly the trip of a lifetime.

Thanks again to Kenya Safari Arcade, and we are waiting for David to tell us when he's coming to visit Israel!

Kenya Walking Safaris was the tour operator. In general, the tour turned to be better than I expected. Abundant and diverse wildlife. Our guide, Anthony was excellent. Weather was colder and wetter than expected and we were not really prepared for it. We were told that mosquitos could be nuisance, but we never encountered mosquitos. The distances from one park to the other were so long and tiring. Accommodation was acceptably good.

very good and reliable as well as cheap company to book a safari!
5/5

Everything was fine and the staff is very helpful with organizing the safari you want, so they take time to text you. Moreover they paid our flights without our payment in advance, which no other company would do and we are very thankful for it. The safari guide Toni was excellent, because he knew everything and was very communicative, as well as the other staff members who were also kind. I would again choose this company to travel with, because you can't find a cheaper one, which is as much as reliable as this one is! :)

About: Tanzania
You can feel the wilderness in the remote parks of southern Tanzanie
Overall rating
5/5

For our first time in Tanzania, we decided to go for a 9 days southern trip because at this time of the year the northern parks are too crowded. Although we had a lot of driving to go from one place to another it has allowed us to discover some real wild places like Ruaha and udzungwa mountains national parks. Selous is also outstanding thanks to the mighty river Rufiji. The weather was not so great, as we had some rain so that we have experienced some adventurous driving on muddy tracks.Accomdodation was abobe expectation : all the places were really confortable and food was good (packed lunch was a bit boring...) In Ruaha, on the last morning we enjoyed a couple of lions mating on the other side of the river : memorable time! The birding was nor really impressive compared to other places we visited but we saw about 180 different species although our guide was not a birder.
