About: Makoa-Farm
One of the highlights of our Tanzanian holiday!
5/5

This was the best place we stayed at during our 2 week trip to Tanzania, and we stayed at some great places! We were made to feel part of the family, from the first hour! It felt like all the activities on the farm were focused on the animals and us. After being shown around, and "introduced" to the rescued animals, we simply participated in what was going on there. The horse riding was lovely, and they took perfect care of our 9 year old daughter who had never ridden before - she is hooked! There were so many activities to do: highlights for us were the bat cave in the canyon, and Tom the tortoise on the neighbouring farm (and the hike back!). Nothing we asked was too much trouble, the service was perfect. We had all our meals with the our hosts, Eli and Laszlo, and the other guests, and the food was magnificent - the best we had anywhere in Tanzania! Meal times were very social with lots of entertaining stories and insights. I cannot recommend Makoa Farm highly enough, it will be the first place we go back to on our next trip to Tanzania.

Can't ask for better
5/5

From the very start Etrip Africa Stood out. I wanted the perfect Kili+Safari+Zanzibar combo so I spent a long time speaking to various tour operators, small local and the big famed ones. It was clear who I was going to go with . Etrip offered the most competitive rate for the same itenary, I also picked up on small things like how the others would try to take shortcuts to save them money, like proposing a long drive rather than a short flight, and not even giving me the option, Etrip was very different in that I was offered a better price for exactly what I wanted. What made them different is how attentive they were, Ben from Etrip never tired of answering my many questions. He was super quick in answering emails and sent me long detailed answers. I felt like he made the most effort to try to get to know exactly what I wanted, and tailored a trip that felt truly like it had been planned by someone that knows me so well.
I was expecting a few glitches on ground but my entire trip went exactly according to plan!!! All the accommodations were as I expected, my guides were wonderful. I cannot pick on anything, it went swimmingly!
Thank you Etrip Africa, sincerely!!!

Fascinating, educational and enjoyable tour - Dan was excellent
5/5

Dan was excellent in his ability to find places no other guide has taken anyone. Meeting farmers and understanding their challenges was the most insightful part of the tour for me
Everything was organised and ran exactly to plan
Accommodation, food and the tours - excellent
A very rewarding and enjoyable insight into Uganda - all down to Dan and Kisoro Tours

My first African elephant and yellow rivers and hippo ears!
5/5

Craig communicated everything especially around the safety aspect of our game drives and game walk very clearly. We were asked what we would most like to see and I got my wish within twenty minutes of the start of the walk, the beautiful matriarch of the group of elephants gracefully lifting herself out of the river. Craig's knowledge of Africa is incredible, it is shared with the guests with charm and humour. On our final morning we went on an early morning game walk, came across water buffalo, which caused a bit of a stir, but made it to the river for a gorgeous sunrise with a pod of hippos starting their day........slowly? These experiences and my feeling that I was sharing some of Africa's secret moments gave me memories I will never forget and will ensure I will go back again.Thank you

Best Adventure Yet
5/5

My husband and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary with a magnificent vacation to Rwanda, D.R. Congo, Tanzania, and Kenya planned with help from Extraordinary Journeys. We travel frequently and were very impressed with the thoughtful planning from this company. They had every transition so well thought out, arranged the most beautiful and luxurious places for us to stay that were optimal for viewing the animals we wanted to see, and made every effort possible to make this a special trip for us while ensuring we got to do everything we wanted to on the trip. We appreciated the fantastic communication regarding every last detail both before and during the trip, which in speaking to fellow travelers can sometimes be hard to come by with some other travel companies. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to ensure all details are taken care of and communicated properly so that they can enjoy a carefree, luxurious, and adventure packed vacation.

Awesome 5 day safari with Kilimanjaro Trekking mate
5/5

Phenomenal five day trip: Tarangire-Serengeti-Ngorogoro. We saw an incredible amount of animals, including lions fighting over a female (it was the mating season) and some animals that are very difficult to spot (like leopards and chetah) thanks to our guide's sharp-eyes. Shareema (that's his name) was super knowledgeable about the animals, their hunting techniques and mating behaviors; he really did an amazing job at finding quiet and amazing spots.

It was a bit of a mission to get there because the roads are so bad but our guide was incredibly careful with his car so we made it through without any incident (unlike many other people that we saw waiting for repairs on the side of the road).

Same as Ngorongoro Crater it is a must see, but way to crowded, do not visit it during August as it is peak season and you have safari vehicles all over the places!
