Exceeded our expectations by a country mile!
5/5

I first contacted Tanzania Roadside Expeditions (TRE) in February of this year to arrange a three-night/four-day safari for myself, my husband Nick, and our daughter Georgia. I chose TRE on the strength of their amazing reviews and my initial communications with Paul, the Managing Director. Paul was extremely efficient, professional and responsive from the outset, so there was no doubt in my mind that I had chosen the right company.

Paul arranged our return flights from Zanzibar to Arusha, and was there to meet us at the airport to introduce us to our guides, Walter and Enrishi, and the trusty Landcruiser (our base for the next few days!). Enrushi was in training, so we were fortunate to have two guides - both of whom were extremely knowledgeable, personable and a huge pleasure to spend four days with. Frankly, we could not have asked for better company throughout our adventure.

We visited Tarangire National Park, criss-crossed the awe-inspiring Serengeti and explored the amazing Ngorongoro Crater, staying in stunning safari lodges each night, where we received wonderfully warm welcomes and delicious meals. They even managed to cater for our daughter, Georgia's, vegan diet.

We saw not only the 'Big 5', but the 'Big 8' by day two, plus a myriad of other beautiful wildlife. Our wonderful guides were incredibly skilled at spotting elusive wildlife from a great distance, and we managed to get up close to all but the rhinos, who kept their distance. We also visited a Maasai village on our final day - another fascinating experience that has since prompted me to read a number of books on the Maasai and their environment.

The only downside of our trip was when the time came to say our goodbyes to Walter and Enrishi on our final day. Their engaging personalities and the knowledge they imparted to us made our holiday both special and unforgettable. We sincerely hope for a reunion at some stage in the future.

Our entire experience with TRE was outstanding, and our enthusiasm has been such that a number of our friends are contemplating doing similar to what we did, with TRE. We took so many wonderful memories away with us, not to mention hundred and hundreds of photographs! Needless to say, we would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending this company to anyone seeking to 'go on safari'.

Gorilla trekking in Rwanda absolutely amazing!! Highly recommend this agency.
5/5

Planning my trip with Yvonne and the Hermosa life tours team in this period of the pandemic was the best choice for me. It seemed hard at first, but she made it even easy.
We exchanged thousands of emails and she took time to understand what I exactly wanted for a gorilla trek experience, this is something I wanted to do growing up and the dream came true. We went on a call to plan the trip even better; she was so patient with me and here I am to tell you about it, of course I did the trek twice, amazing.
I wish everyone could have this rare opportunity to observe the famous Rwandan mountain gorillas. Trekking the gorillas through the forested slopes of the Virunga is a magical experience.
So, any time I wish to see more of Africa, I would definitely go with this company ‘Hermosa life tours and Travel’ again.

Helpful and knowledgeable.
5/5

Our safari with Africa Starpal was excellent. From the outset, the communication with Paul was brilliant, he gave us lots of information to ensure that we had booked a trip that would suit us and also helped us with requirements for visas as well as sending information around Covid procedures. It was well-organised and Paul was quick to respond to any of our emails.

The safari itself is great value for money. We had a wonderful guide, James, who was determined for us to see as many animals as possible, and we certainly seemed to have seen more then others staying at the camp. He was knowledgable and gave us detailed information about the animals and our surroundings.

Overall, we had an amazing experience and I would highly recommend booking your safari through Africa Starpal.

Very Professional, Caring and accommodating.
5/5

We had an awesome stay in Rwanda because that gentleman Oreste stays on emails and WhatsApp 24/7. We have different times zones but we engaged with Oreste any time we wanted him to make adjustments on our trip.
My wife wanted particular places she had searched for on google and she wanted to go in all these corners. This company was so caring and professional because we reached everywhere we wanted and felt very safe.
When you visit Rwanda, request for the Bisoke Hike, we took beautiful photos in this place, mountain gorillas are very gentle creatures, we loved to stay with them a full hour. Lake Kivu is a cool place to relax after your safari and before your departure.
When you think about visiting Rwanda, email these guys, it is a very accommodative team with incredible guides. And ask for David to be your guide.

Beware- Fortune is a criminal
1/5

We booked with Fortune from Forche Travels in Zimbabwe back in February 2022. We paid him over $11,000 for an 11 night/12 day safari to Botswana and Zimbabwe. He sweet talked us up through the very end. When we arrived in Boswana, no one was there to greet us at the Maun airport because Fortune did not pay for our luxury camping excursion to the salt pans; therefore we were unable to go. Then we learned he did not pay Kwando Safaris. Upon arriving at our next destination that we had to pay out of pocket, Fortune showed up at Chobe Safari Lodge and told us our next location was cancelled due to all his mistakes and dishonesty so he “upgraded” us to the Elephant Eye in Hwange. At this time he was assuring us everything would be okay. Obviously a week in without Fortune paying for anything promised in our itinerary and contract, we then called to see if he indeed booked the Elephant Eye, which we learned that we had the booking but no payment. At that point we parted ways with Fortune and continued paying for everything out of pocket, documenting everything, including a recording of Fortune and names/numbers of all witnesses (general managers). It is disheartening and cruel that he took advantage of a family with young children. A police report was made and the tourist authority and the U.S. Embassy notified. Fortune was arrested on charges of Theft of trust of personal property. As I write this, he is due in criminal court for sentencing. We do not want anyone else to get robbed with their money or their once in a lifetime trip to Africa.

Excellent Tour in Uganda
5/5

Uganda is a beautiful country, we’ve visited the country for 6-days. With the Gorilla-tracking as Highlight of our trip.

Francis and his company managed to provide us with an unforgivable trip. Feeling save all the time. Beautiful mid-range lodges and amazing trips to Queen Elizabeth park , the cruise, chimpansee-tracking and wildlife spotting, and ofcourse the Gorilla’s.

It was worth the money!

Excellent communication, amazing experience, unforgettable trip
5/5

Direct Kenya Safaris were amazing!! They were very communicative from the very beginning of the planning process and went above and beyond to ensure that we had the best experience on the trip. We have used other safari companies in Kenya and they are hands down the best. I highly recommend them.

Seven by Far Tours is the best !
5/5

Amazing aventures! My husband and I just finished a trip of a lifetime!! It exceeded all our expectations and went beyond! The team at Seven by Far Tours are excellent! I don’t know where to begin, from our airport pick up, hotel stays, culture experiences, African life, and of course all kinds of animals! Our favorite part of this once in a lifetime experience were the excellent guides, who we had for 5 days în our private tour! Antony took care of us as if we were family. Our days spent on Safari were extremely well planned. We had the opportunity to see many animals while we were out on safari in Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Amboseli. In addition to seeing the animals our guides taught us about each species of Fauna and Flora we asked about, the guides were extremely knowledgeable about every aspect on our Safari. This included the culture of the people of Africa as well. So many animals in their normal habitat! Huge, large, normal, and tiny! Land, water, and sky! Monstrous, powerful, ugly, graceful, beautiful, peaceful herbivores and hungry carnivores! When speaking of African animal life, though, one must see the spectacle called The Great Migration (sometimes called The Great Wildebeest Migration), where millions of wildebeests and thousands of plains animals trek in a huge clockwise circle, from the Serengeti Plains of Tanzania to the Masai Mara in Kenya and the return, searching for lush grazing grounds and life-giving water. It is their cycle of life. And we had a front row seat to their struggle! Our guides were the reason for having such a formidable experience!
We highly recommend Seven by Far! We loved every place we stayed, from hotels to tent camps. We always felt safe and taken care of, we didn't need to worry about anything. Would definitely recommend! After Safari, we stayed on the ocean coast for another week, in Diani Beach.
Sylvester helped us again in everything, including transport, tickets, hotel reservations.
It was a great pleasure to meet the people behind Seven by Far.
