Good, nearly perfect
4/5

I went on a 3-day Maasai Mara safari with Segein. Everything was pretty organised, the guide new where to find animals and told us a lot about them. The accommodation was as promised, although I hadn't been warned that the tent gets really cold at night. On the last day we picked up new people from another camp and lost 45 minutes of our "early morning" game drive. We didn't get to drive around as much as I had hoped. The safari didn't include pick up and drop off from outside the city center so there were additional costs.

About: Namibia
As my first safari everything amazed me. I can say my dream to see african wildlife became true

4/5

Contrast feelings. In my opinion local people is plundered of their birthrights. The certitude of being in a totally wild territory flew away by the fact that allmost all the country is fenced and packaged and most of the wildlife intensely managed, although I do not deny this is, in some cases and for certain species, the best way to assure conservation.

Anyway, this is not true for the main place we visit (4 days, 3 nigths), etosha. Here the only artificial elements are the man made waterholes (some are natural) and the roads, but this is why you can see the animals here. As it was my first safari ever, everything was amazing. We even saw many rhinos (both) and lions in our self drives. After Etosha we went to Okonjima for leopards and cheetahs. The first are free born radiocallared animals and they guarantee you good observations, but the rescued cheetahs are semi-domesticated animals. Also here brown hyaena, ardwolf, mountain zebra, elephant shrew and white rhino. As birders we enjoyed tracking in this reserve. The guides were superb and the standard rooms were actually luxury: you could see a lot of life lying in the bed.

Etosha is vey good for raptors (martial eagle, bateleur and secretary, but we missed pygmy falcon) and steppe-land birds, but not so much for passerines, as you can not leave the car. For photographers: the most of the day the light is too bright and the sky leaden
The surrealistic vision of game, seemingly floating over the salt plan, seems a sweet alutination. The only night we spent camping at okaukuejo I will never forget: 7 black rhinos, including cubs playfully approaching elephant bulls (until a blast of water from his trunk made the cub run to mother's shelter), a genets and a hyaena (with a jackal as squire) in the waterhole. When I went to sleep the roar of lyons made my marrows shake.
The best place for lions where Nebrownii and Okondeka waterholes. We tried a lot with cheetah, but no luck in 4 days.

Africa Remote Safaris thinks about everthing you just think about enjoying
4/5

Steve and Naphtally are very helpful to organise our safari according to our requirements. They received us at the airport in Nairobi and drove us at the hotel. The day after, we started our 4 nights safari with Mike (Amboseli-Lake Nakuru Masai Mara). For all safari we had a private minivan. At Masai Mara, Africa Remote up-graded our accomodation at the same price (Osero Camp). It was a nice surprise.
Mike is a great guide, very patient with a sharp eye to see animals. When we came back to Nairobi, Africa Remote (Steve) offered us a dinner at Carnivore Restaurant. We really suggest this tour operator for your safari due to their availability, drivers ability and good quality/price ratio. (P.s.: if sometime they don't answer to your mail quickly or they don't arrive on time, don't worry).

Kenya Walking Safaris was the tour operator. In general, the tour turned to be better than I expected. Abundant and diverse wildlife. Our guide, Anthony was excellent. Weather was colder and wetter than expected and we were not really prepared for it. We were told that mosquitos could be nuisance, but we never encountered mosquitos. The distances from one park to the other were so long and tiring. Accommodation was acceptably good.

I went on a 4 days safari to Masai Mara and Nakuru. We were able to see 4 of the big five (we didn't see the leopard) and many other animals, the scenic view was amazing.

About: Zimbabwe
A walking safari was a first for us and gave a very different perspective of Hwange.
Overall rating
4/5

The numbers and diversity of the animals in Hwange was disappointing and definitely not comparable to the pre-independence period.
The bush camp was well organised and comfortable.
Our guide, Scott, was knowledgeable and interesting.
Unfortunately we hit a hot spell which made activities in the middle of the day difficult.

Good camping safari
4/5

We did a 6 days camping safari. It was a very nice experience, the safari was amazing. Everythig was exactly as it was planned, no bad surprises! They only change a little bit the itinerary: we visit lake manyara the last day instead of the second day of safari, but we were fine about it!
Our guide was very good, professional and well prepared; we had a great safari together!
The tent were fine. The only negative point: they told us that there would have been electricity and hot water in every camping, but this was not true in the serengeti camp, but it was fine anyway!

Hi Maurice
4/5

It was a nice surprise to meet you too in Arusha, I wasn't expecting to see you but it's always good to put a face to a name. Thanks for coming to meet us. I was extremely happy with the communication from you prior to making my booking. You always responded promptly. You also went out of your way to tailor a holiday to suit our interests and budget. Both of these factors encouraged me to book with your company. You seemed professional, your website appeared professional and you offered to Skype. Your attention to detail and promptness was reassuring. Our driver/guide was excellent. We were very happy with his knowledge and expertise in finding the animals and providing information. He was attentive and looked after us well. He was a safe and competent driver and we enjoyed his company as he spoke good English and was clearly experienced. All these skills and factors added to the enjoyment of our trip. The standard of the accommodation was excellent and service good wherever we stayed. We were lucky enough to get upgraded from Tloma to Kitela Lodge which was a pleasing and lovely bonus! I would certainly recommend your company to friends and family. I certainly hope to come back to East Africa again and would use your organization if booking a safari or activity holiday. Our trip exceeded my expectations in terms of standard of accommodation, service and enjoyment. I would like to thank you again and wish your Organization every success for the future. Please let me know if this is the feedback you require and whether you have any further queries. Many thanks again.

Well organised Safari
4/5

This was our first Safari and it was a nerve wrecking experience to book something suitable within our budget. The booking procedure by Safarihub was very straight forward and their assistance in tailor making a Safari was second to none. Our tour driver was very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed what the Tanzanian National parks have to offer. We look forward to booking our second Safari in the not so distant future.
