About: Kenya
Unique experience and wonderful scenery but need to pay premium price to enjoy it

The geological location of Kenya made it an ideal place to travel during norther hemisphere summer time(July,August). The weather is neither too hot nor cold. Most of accommodations(lodges) have good food, tasty grilled vegetables and meat. Coffee and tea are superb! When you travel among those developed countries, sometimes you might need to find a good coffee/shop so that you can enjoy a good quality cup, but in Kenya this is something that most lodges would serve. I don't like the transportation honestly. The roads are powdery and ridiculously bumpy. Even in good road condition i.e., from Nairobi to Navasha where we need to cross a mountain, once there is a conjunction many drivers keep on jumping the queue and we all end up stuck into a total jam and no way to get out of it. However, good news is that there are many roads under construction by Chinese companies. For example, the way to Masai Mara is half completed during 2018 summer. Imaging going there next year would be much better. A good guide is somewhat a lucky one, he is the person that critical to the whole experience. Hot air balloon over Mara is an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy the quietness and the beautiful savanna sunrise, though a bit cold in early morning generally but that warmness from the balloon make you feel like sitting next to a living room fireplace.

About: Tanzania
Safari experience in mid-range package
Overall rating
4/5

We enjoyed Serengeti and Tarangire national parks a lot. Each of them has a different character. Tarangire is nicely shaped by the river. You don't need to drive long distances to see wild animals. Serengeti is impressive by the endless plains and classic safari experience. But it tends to be overcrowded at some places. Also you need to survive the dusty transfer from NCA to Serengeti on bumpy road (2 hours each way). Ngorongoro wildlife has left us behind our expectations but maybe we weren't lucky enough. The crater landscape is breathtaking. Be prepared on cold weather in the morning (below 10 degrees Celsius). Our driver Jackson has done a good job, especially when tracking the wildebeest migration. We were sharing the car with four other travellers which was fine and caused no limitations to us. The only concern was that they had different accommodations. It caused extra miles driven every morning and evening on transfers which was a little bit annoying. The accomodation in Serengeti Mawe tented camp was excellent and is well worth it. The communication with the tour operator was fluent and friendly. Online payment of reservation fee would be welcome instead of bank transfer which can't be insured. We can recommend Kili Slope especially for good value for money of our mid-range safari package.

Great safari, lots of wildlife.
4/5

The communication we received with the company was very good in the run up to the trip. All emails were answered promptly and efficiently. The safari went reasonably smoothly and we saw lots of wildlife, as we had hoped. The tour guide, Stanley, was very helpful and was able to identify most of the wildlife we saw. He worked hard to make our safari pleasant and comfortable. The travelling between the parks was very lengthy and I think it is better to spend longer in each park rather than to try and fit too much in and end up spending an awful lot of time in the safari van. The roads are not good and the traffic often very heavy too. The accommodation ranged from quite good hotels to basic tented camps. Upgrades might be preferred in these cases. The company provides good value for money compared with other quotes we received. I would recommend this company to others.

The safari was very nice, kind driver and good views.

We did a three day safari, which is enough. It's very lovely to see all those animals, and we saw the big five.
The weather was okey, which is good to go in winter, because then it's not too hot.
The accomodation was fine, but we didn't really meet other people.
We are from Holland, and the most of all those people on these accomodations are from England.
The food was good. Our gide was a nice guy. We are happy with this Safari!

About: Uganda
Uganda is a place full of contrasts, sometimes in a positive way other times in negative

In Uganda you can live many experiences, some incredibles others not so much, sometimes there are certain social dynamics that make it difficult to move quietly in certain areas so you should always be well informed about safety. Public transport is not so easy, but it is a great adventure. The food often does not have a salad and soft drinks are sweet, sweet.

About: Kenya
Amazing safari!
Overall rating
4/5

The safari and all the animals were amazing. We managed to see almost every animal in our 6 days safari. Masai Mara was my favorite park. The accomodation wasn't luxury at all in the tended camp but we had all the minimum services and the food was good. I think this is part of the experience. Our driver was super skilled, always connected to other drives to communicate where the animals were. The agency (budget holiday safari) is very serious and we respected the program. Amazing experience

About: Malawi
Not many different animals but great to see elephants.
Overall rating
4/5

I went biking in Malawi for 3 months, also spending some days at 2 nationals parks to see animals. Because I went 3 months, I had a budget. The better accommodation in Malawi is run by foreigners and is more expensive. At the wild parks we could also pitch our tent and cook ourself which we love. We went on a boat safari at Liwonde National Park and saw elephants crossing the river. They also came to our camp to eat, for hours, really close! Amazing, best animal experience of Malawi. I didn't go on any car safari but you can see more animals then. Malawi in general is fantastic, beautiful scenery, beautiful people, I've traveled around a bit, but Malawi has number 1 on friendly, funny, good humoured people!

Flexible and nimble staff
4/5

We requested Africa-Zim to organize a tour for us to Vic Falls and a visit to Chobe park in Botswana. We gave them 3 days to complete arrangements, and we began the trip at the end of the 3rd day. It was a moderately priced trip and we got excellent value for money. We had an afternoon to see Vic Falls then went onto Chobe park where we had 1 night at Water Lily lodge (4 star) in Kasane, 2 nights camping in a tent in Chobe, with the elephants and lions nearby, and 2 nights back in Kasane at Toro lodge (3 star). Our connections throughout were all done well and the people at each place knew Blessing quite well. I give this team 5 stars for their resourcefulness and good services.

Good place to go, but hard to access. Additionally, they are still connected to trophy hunting which will result in me not returning in the future.
