About: Kenya
We enjoyed Kenya wildlife.
Overall rating
4/5

Loved seeing and learning about the wildlife. Since that was our purpose and goal for the trip, Kenya surpassed our expectations in that area. There was an abundance of wildlife at all the locations visited and we would not have skipped anything on our itinerary except for Lake Bogoria. Masai Mara, Ambroselli, and Lake Nakura were our favorites,
Most accommodations were adequate.
I did not think Kenya or its wildlife parks were tourist friendly. The lack of bathrooms was surprising.
Mixed review for tour company and guide. They kept changing our lodging and trying to give us lesser quality lodging. Guide knew a lot about wildlife but would only share what was specifically asked. I felt like I had to fight to get all that was included on the itinerary either to save money on park admission or make the job easier for the driver/guide. Driver had very good driving skills.
High pressure sales tactic used at rest stops which were not appreciated.

Absolutely worth it! Wonderful wild life

I loved johan’s caring and prof attitude. He helped us organizing ever detail. We were very happy with the overall experience. The food was absolutely incredible! We personally liked more Sabi Sands. We did not like the guide we had the first day of the safari, JC i think. We really liked the blonde girl the second Day, apologies I forgot her name. Overall very happy and the safari is really worth it!

About: Uganda
Georgeous look at the remains of african wilderness
Overall rating
4/5

Pleasant hilly landscapes or wast savannah-like plains. We travelled at the beginning of the rainy season, and found temperature-range very enjoyable. We admired the sublime unrestraint of the nile valley, the rwenzory hights, the easy access to chimp- and gorilla habitats. After making peace with the salt poverty of the food, we gained 2 kilos each within 3 weeks. Seducing sweet and ripe fruits, some of them we had never seen before, excellent meat and fish, tasty side-dishes. All you can eat, and more. Shame on me. Never got a stomach egg though. Almost no moskitos. Tsetse-flies only on the people around me dressed in blue and black just like the insect traps . Thrilling Boda-boda rides, allegedly even more dangerous than hippos. Drivers were true reliable acrobats, so was our tour guide. Intelligent, always friendly, never tired, very communicative, competent. Felt like travelling with a friend. Safari-van in best shape to survive african massage. Commod way to get around. Wonderful wildlife experience, getting as close as that elephant sniffling at the porch of my tent. Accomodation viable. Sometimes no warm water, sometimes broken tent zippers, sometimes mosquito-tents only useful as decoration. Had not seen a single water tap properly bolted to the sink, however this is a mysterium to be found all over east africa. Opined Uganda with its vivid chaos much more attractive than almost suisse-like rwanda. This may however change with the soon expected doubling of population, meaning the doubling of dwellings, infrastructure, traffic. No more space for wildlife of any kind (please refer to Germany). No more rain forests. No more rain. Do your travelling now!

Amazing experience!
Overall rating
4/5

Great variety of wildlife, beautiful scenery, great weather. Accommodations were average, East Africa tends to be less westernized. Food quality varied but was generally decent. Our guides were not as knowledgable as we would have liked but probably would have been fine for people with less questions about animal behavior, etc. Serengeti is incredible, Ngorongoro Crater is amazing as well. Tarangire is great for elephant lovers. Lake Manyara was a bit disappointing compared to the other parks.

A super fantastic experience!
4/5

A truly remarkable experience with clear communication and wonderful service! My 10yr old son loved the adventure and friendship from our driver. The overnight stays were more than expected and I highly recommend staying at Mopito tented camp if you can. Our driver Donarld was fantastic, knowledgable, funny and was happy to work with our schedule. I would use this service again.

My first ever safari - expectations exceeded
4/5

My sister booked our 6 day safari with Northern Circuit Adventure and dealt with all the communications, and copied me into the many emails exchanged between her and Michael the Director - he was always quick to respond. My sister had been on numerous previous safaris, I had never been on one, but was confident she would choose a reputable company. At the end of our trip she assured me that I now do not need to go anywhere else to have the safari experience as the services offered by Northern Circuit Adventure would be hard to beat! Any expectations I had were exceeded. Michael had given us a warm personal welcome on our arrival at his office and his team of three who accompanied us on our safari, are a credit to him. Our guide proved to be very knowledgeable, confident, passionate and respectful of the wildlife. All team members were extremely friendly and it seemed couldn't do enough to ensure our trip was truly memorable. The food our Cook provided was nutritious, plentiful and there was lots of variety - he amazed us with what he could rustle up over a gas stove! We saw so much wildlife and very close up too, and always felt safe in the jeep with our confident driver/guide. The inevitable jeep problems were dealt with quickly and efficiently, and we never felt we were being "rushed" - our guide was always very obliging enabling us to take as many photos as we wished or allowing us time to just sit and watch quietly for as long as we wanted. I am full of praise for the team and can highly recommend this company as good value for money, well organised and efficient. Thank you for making my first safari experience such a wonderful one!!

A good guide makes the difference. Some days were absolutely great!
Overall rating
4/5

We had two great guides, who were knowledgable, took the time to explain things, stopped when we wanted to, etc. And we had two guides that were quite terrible, pretty much making what could have been an excellent day, quite a frustrated one.
Please take the time to evaluate guides, train them, etc.

Overall our experience was quite good, with all the other apects of the trip.

Amazing Safari Experience
Overall rating
4/5

We had an amazing safari experience with Dusty Roads Safaris - all of the representatives of the company that we met were great and our guide Joseph was fantastic. We did a 2-day / 1 night safari to Tarangire and Ngorogoro Crater. Both days were fantastic, the scenery, the wildlife and the lodge (Eileens Tree) were all great. As for the wildlife we saw tons of lions, buffalos, elephants, giraffes, a rhino and her baby and countless other things. Safari bookings was a great tool to book with. Highly recommend all involved.

Worthwhile Experience
4/5

Firstly, it depends on what type of African Safari enthusiast you are. If it's something like this - it has been your lifelong ambition to travel to this part of the world, to see the types of animals that you'll see in their natural habitat - you'll have the time of your life. If you're a more curious or casual observer of the Safari experience, there will be times where you'll find it monotonous and repetitive. As for Image Travel, they were excellent, no question. Tour guides George in Kenya and Mwita in Tanzania were professional, approachable and diligent in their interactions and clearly performed at their maximum to ensure the best possible experience for my partner and I. Re-read the opening sentences if you want an honest appraisal of whether this tour is for you or not, but if you fall into the former category, you'll have no complaints. If you fall into the latter category, you'll have complaints, but not of the service you were afforded.

The nature of Tanzania is beautiful. We had an excellent guide who showed us a diverse animal world. Hotels on the safari were not bad, but the hotels in the country itself are terrible. In general, the safari was pleasant.
