Wonderful Experience, wonderful guide, wonderful staff, wonderful accommodation.

Everything we expected and more, especially our guide Leo who was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating. Weather was a bit wet, but it was the rainy season, and our guide was prepared. Food was great as was the camp staff.

About: Tanzania
Amazing scenery with more wildlife animals you could wish for
Overall rating
4/5

Wildlife: amazing! We saw the big five and many more. Nearly every animal bit crocodiles.
Scenery : Ngorogoro Crater and surrounding area are breathtaking . Something you won’t see anywhere else in the world .
The Serengeti is very beautiful and unique itself . Tarangeri Nationalpark was nice , too.
Lake Manara was not my favourite, as you can’t really drive up to the lake , you only see it from a distance . Further up in “the jungle” we saw plenty of monkeys and elephants, which made up for it.
Weather: a little bit chilly during the night and early morning, afterwards very hot.

Accommodation- the tents were put up for us every night which was great, we just wished they would have told us to bring a pillow, they provide sleeping bags but it might be more comfortable to have your own for cleanliness reasons.
The campsite near lake manara , where we stayed the first and the last night of our 6 day trip was very nice (it’s called “Fanaka”) , the stuff was very friendly , you could even put your own drinks in their fridge, and there was hot water in the showers .
But! The campsite in the serengeti , especially the facilities where just terrible, so we didn’t have a shower for 3 days. I‘d recommend to pay the extra money and get a tented lodge .
Food was ok.
Our guide Moody was a very friendly.

Very few human settlements, so more nature and wildlife which roams freely. Nice weather, sunshine all year-round and cost of living is quite afordable.

About: Kenya
A thrilling experience!
Overall rating
4/5

A thrilling experience! face-to-face with lions, elephants, cheetahs, leopards, hippos, zebras, giraffes, antelopes...in the wonderful scenario of Amboseli, Masai Mara and Lake Nakuru. Amboseli is a relatively small park, but with so many different landscapes, included a dry lake. Masai Mara is an evocative place, where you understand the real meaning of infinite. Our guide Steve made his best to let us see all the animals possible, and also to enjoy the different landscapes. While in Masai Mara we experienced a rainy day, but our driver was great in driving the muddy tracks and wade across small rivers. Accommodation was also great during the whole trip. An unforgettable trip!

We were lucky, for 1 day we saw almost all the animals that live in the park. Excellent guide Bob - the most daring of the guides, drove us to the car to the lioness almost immediately. We arrived at 9 am, at 13.00 we had lunch, and after that we continued the safari until 4pm. Lunch cost $ 5 per person. The road from Dar-es-Salam was very dangerous, a lot of wagons with cargoes, our driver many times went to a meeting and miraculously we managed to avoid a collision. This part of the safari - very spoiled the general impression. On the way back, the gasoline ran out and the driver did not have any money with him, he asked us to throw off him for gasoline $ 5. Nobody returned them, of course.

KENYA AGAIN !!
Overall rating
4/5

I've been so lucky, in selecting the tour agent "Kenya Walking", because they have proposed a well scheduled overall program, acceptable prices, good lodges and by chance, I got a very well experienced driver/guide, Mr. Paulo, who has made my trip to Kenya, really great !!
After this first visit to Kenya, I have now the intention to organize a future trip to Kenya, Tanzania and Uganda and spend all the time in visiting the national parks, because the scenery and wildlife, are so thrilling.

I only have an advice to the future tourists : if you will be going to visit the National Museum in Nairobi (very interesting), please do not leave ANY money or valuables in your bag, once you will be requested to leave it under the Museum custody, at the entrance !! Unfortunately I've experienced a bitter surprise.....

KENYA AGAIN .....

We booked our 9 days safari from Kenya walking safaris ... the whole expierence was very professionally managed...Special thanks to Mr. Otineho from Kenya walking safaris...
We went to Samburu, Nakuru, Masai Mara and Naivasha... at all places the accommodations were very good... our tour Guide Mr. Benson was awesome... he was very attentive and took good care of us .... we were lucky to see the big 5 and many many more animals in their natural habitat ... the trip to Hells Gate National Park was a very different and would highly recommend it.
We would strongly recommend to book through Kenya Survivors waking Safari and ask for Mr. Benson as your tour guide.

Amazing!

We went to Kenya specifically for safari on the Masai Mara. I wouldn't recommend anyone spend time in Nairobi except to see the Elephant Orphanage and Giraffe Sanctuary. The selection of wildlife on the Mara wasout of this world, we had a fantastic driver who knew exactly where to go and we saw the big 5 all within the first 2 days. Good choice of accommodation also, we went mid-range and felt like it was luxury!

About: Namibia
Unique desert and coastal scenery.
Overall rating
4/5

The desert scenery throughout Namibia was quite spectacular, although at times it looked just like we were in the Australian outback. The weather was quite pleasant, with the exception of sesriem where it got to 48 degrees Celsius during the day but otherwise we barely saw any clouds the whole 10 days we spent there. The standard of accommodation and food exceeded our expectations in most cases, especially at the luxury desert inn at Sesriem. Having the ability to drive ourselves at our own pace was good as we were able to stop at various interesting sites along the way.

Great experience - was impressed with the quality of the lodges, the friendliness of staff and the overall service level of all folks involved. At the moment, South Africa is also quite affordable compared to other safari locations. Overall great value for money.
