Fabulous safari, great people, amazing animals!
Overall rating
5/5

We traveled with Earthlife Expeditions and had an amazing 10 days. The wildlife and scenery are over the top. I felt like I was in a National Geographic movie. The accommodations were wonderful- they have all ranges from budget to luxury, the food was good, our guide Joseph was outstanding. This was a trip of a lifetime. I would recommend it to everyone. Just be aware that you are in the wild, with dust and bumpy roads. I just reviewed my pictures from 3 weeks ago and want to go again! It doesn't have to be super expensive.!!!

Wonderful trip to Tanzania
5/5

Kathi Simon was our travel agent for African Welcome Safaris and was simply a pleasure to work with. So accommodating, responsive and customized our trip to be exactly what we wanted.

Our airline had issues that caused us to arrive two days later then expected. When we notified Kathi she worked over the weekend to rearrange our trip to minimize the financial impact of the change and made sure everything was taken care of. She was awesome.

Kathi booked us in several amazing hotels, and set us up with Wild Frontiers in Tanzania for our Safari company. The vehicle and driver were both really great, and the driver Raymond was extremely warm, friendly and accommodating.

We had a great vacation and it was a trip of a lifetime. Thank you African Welcome Safaris!

About: Kenya
Good safari in Masai Mara
Overall rating
5/5

This was not our first time in Kenya. We booked a 3-day trip to Masai Mara (leaving on a Sunday and coming back on a Tuesday evening). In the park: lots of driving, lots of cars in the same place giving it a slight "mass tourism" feel and lacking "bush feel".

Although there during the peak time for wildebeest migrations, we saw very few. We were told that this is because of the Tanzanian burning off land to avoid wildebeest crossing the border. They are afraid of "loosing the business". Shame really as this man-made factor is not really mentioned on tourist safari websites.

Otherwise, everything was splendid in terms of organisation, driver, accommodation (camp right outside gates of Masai Mara), vegetarian food options... Amazing sceneries. Good value for money and very smooth.

About: Tanzania
Excellent safari with a wonderful guide, saw wildlife up close!
Overall rating
5/5

We visited Tarangire - 1 day, Ngorongoro crater 1 day, central Serengeti 2 days, Northern Serengeti 2 days. We liked Tarangire park the best with its many elephant herds, prides of lions, wildebeest and zebra herds. Serengeti was amazing and we saw herds of wild buffaloes, a leopard, a cheetah, herds of wildebeest migration, in addition to the wonderful scenery especially in Northern Serengeti.
We were happy with our tented camps and food provided.
Our guide Iddy with Takims Holidays was excellent. We managed to see cheetah as well as a leopard which are hard to spot. He knew exactly where the animals would move if there were many jeeps and hence were able to get very close to the wildlife.
We would notice other jeeps following us wherever we went since our driver had a good reputation.
Our son got very sick with severe diarrhea when we left Ngorongoro. He knew about the resident doctor at Four Seasons in Central Serengeti and she was able to stabilize his condition so we could complete the safari. The staff at the Central Serengeti tented camp didn't know about this facility.
Absolutely recommend Tanzania safari, as well as our tour operator, Takims Holidays and mainly our guide Iddy

Best way to see Africa
5/5

From the very beginning, this was a great experience... Jake and the company put together a trip that matched our travel times as well as our budget... Once we got there, they took care of us every step of the way... Our guide (Richard) was the best..
If you are thinking about a trip like this.. let these people take care of everything for you.. You will have the best trip of your life...

The safari was an adventure for live!
Overall rating
5/5

Kenya was an experience for live. The wildlife and nature are amazing. We enjoyed the knowledge of a very nice guide. Our family of five enjoyed very much a four weel drive car with an excellent and calm driver just for over comfort, that also made the program flexible. Over all a Journey I would recomend.

Great Organization of the Tour
5/5

Had opted for a 12 days tour in Tanzania, 6 days for Safari & another 6 days in Zanzibar. They had planned our itinerary very well. 100% customized to our need & taste. I think that's one of their highlight, very experienced personal. We were fully aware of what to expect well before the start of the tour & everything remained the same through out tour. What was promised.. was delivered. Completely satisfied with the tour & glad we had made this tour. Africa is really a different experience from the rest of the holiday packages. Kudos to ZED Safaris.

About: Kenya
It is awesome.

The safari itself was really great but the road on the way there was very bumpy.

For the driver, overall he is very nice and friendly. He worked so hard in the Safari to find the way for us to see the animals that we wanted. However, one thing that he can make it better is to be ready and be on time once agreed. There were several times that Isaac was a little late and we have to wait for him.
Suggestion: If we agree to leave the hotel at 7 AM the driver should be at the car by 6:55 AM to wait for the customers.

For the food, it was great in every hotels but the service in Carnival restaurant is very bad. We sat on table number 20, it was in the corner and it seems that the waiter did not care about us at all. We wait 15 minutes for the menu. We ordered extra drinks and they forgot to give it to us. Furthermore, we asked for bill and have to wait more than 15 minutes. The food was great but the service was poor on that day. It was the only place that we did not give any tips in Kenya for the service.
Suggestion: You might want to reserve a table where the waiter can reach us

To be honest with you, we are very happy with this trip but those I have mentioned, you may improve it for better service in the future.

Once in a lifetime adventure - not to be missed!
Overall rating

We stayed at Tremisana Lodge the first night and it was very comfortable. The bushwalk was very informative and we got to experience smoking elephant dung :) That was my nieces favorite part! The bar / concessions needed more staff. It was hardly ever open so you couldn't even get waters. The dinner was excellent the first night and we even had some wildlife visitors - hyena, honey badgers, and a porcupine.
The second two nights we stayed at Marc's Treehouse. The treehouses were unique and comfortable but chilly. The food was good and the bar was open daily. The breakfast overlooking the river was outstanding - nice view of wildlife and outdoor setting. Keep an eye on your biscuit or the monkeys may steal them.
Kruger park was pretty good but many of the animals were at a distance so make sure to bring binoculars. Also the ride to Kruger in the open vehicle was very chilly so dress very warm and bring extra blankets. The restaurant at Kruger Park was the only lowlight. The food was below average and the service was terrible. My son did not get his food in the time we had to stop for food so he had to get it to go and try to eat while we were bouncing around in the vehicle.
The staff was friendly.

Our guide Jackson was fantastic! He was helpful and professional the whole time, and we felt very safe with him. He was also very knowledgeable about all the animals and birds we saw, and he made sure we had a great time. The food and accommodation was also excellent, it was the trip of a lifetime! Maggie was helpful and responsive when it came to answering our questions, could not have asked for a better trip!
