Hello tanzania were so helpful before the trip with everything, Madame Mwajabu met us the day before to tell us all about the following days and made sure we were well prepared. All during the safari days the staff took perfectly good care of us! We had an amazing time and loved the "Hippo camp" in Seleous where we stayed! Our guide Michael was the best, he had all the answers and you could tell that he loved his job! He made everything interesting and we were so impressed. All of the staff in Hello Tanzania and on the camp were absolutely amazing, and we are so grateful!

About: Kenya
Unique experience and wonderful scenery but need to pay premium price to enjoy it

The geological location of Kenya made it an ideal place to travel during norther hemisphere summer time(July,August). The weather is neither too hot nor cold. Most of accommodations(lodges) have good food, tasty grilled vegetables and meat. Coffee and tea are superb! When you travel among those developed countries, sometimes you might need to find a good coffee/shop so that you can enjoy a good quality cup, but in Kenya this is something that most lodges would serve. I don't like the transportation honestly. The roads are powdery and ridiculously bumpy. Even in good road condition i.e., from Nairobi to Navasha where we need to cross a mountain, once there is a conjunction many drivers keep on jumping the queue and we all end up stuck into a total jam and no way to get out of it. However, good news is that there are many roads under construction by Chinese companies. For example, the way to Masai Mara is half completed during 2018 summer. Imaging going there next year would be much better. A good guide is somewhat a lucky one, he is the person that critical to the whole experience. Hot air balloon over Mara is an unforgettable experience. You will enjoy the quietness and the beautiful savanna sunrise, though a bit cold in early morning generally but that warmness from the balloon make you feel like sitting next to a living room fireplace.

Safari experience in mid-range package

4/5

We enjoyed Serengeti and Tarangire national parks a lot. Each of them has a different character. Tarangire is nicely shaped by the river. You don't need to drive long distances to see wild animals. Serengeti is impressive by the endless plains and classic safari experience. But it tends to be overcrowded at some places. Also you need to survive the dusty transfer from NCA to Serengeti on bumpy road (2 hours each way). Ngorongoro wildlife has left us behind our expectations but maybe we weren't lucky enough. The crater landscape is breathtaking. Be prepared on cold weather in the morning (below 10 degrees Celsius). Our driver Jackson has done a good job, especially when tracking the wildebeest migration. We were sharing the car with four other travellers which was fine and caused no limitations to us. The only concern was that they had different accommodations. It caused extra miles driven every morning and evening on transfers which was a little bit annoying. The accomodation in Serengeti Mawe tented camp was excellent and is well worth it. The communication with the tour operator was fluent and friendly. Online payment of reservation fee would be welcome instead of bank transfer which can't be insured. We can recommend Kili Slope especially for good value for money of our mid-range safari package.

It was an amazing trip. The diversity and beauty of Namibia was even more than I had expected. Our guide Daniel was great, took care of us all fabulously. The tour was nicely planned with some time on the road but not too much. Also plenty of time to enjoy the sites such as the wildlife in Etosha and the dunes of the desert.

A wonderful experience with Mama Savanna ; Safari/Beach holiday

We were so pleased with our first safari that was catered to our costs and hotel accommodations. Everything went as planned, no hiccups and the food and lodges and the tented camps were superb. From the first stages of planning and booking to the dropoff to airport , Alex had made sure of all the details. Our driver, Alan was great and patient with us (my daughter and I) and we had toured the serengeti, crater, Manyara , Natron and then we finished with the 7 day island of Zanzibar. The sightings and experience with wildlife will be with us forever. Truly a wonderful experience! The weather and food was in our favour also.

We used this Karibu safari company and would highly, highly recommend using them. Their staff (special thanks to Victor & Robert) you were incredible - - they put together multiple alternatives for us to consider, provided "local" insights/opinions as we were deciding between options, and they were very responsive to our every need. Most importantly, the guides we had were incredible in every locale - - they made the trip!! Every logisital aspect of the trip went off exactly as our travel agency said it would (and the itenerary was very informative/detailed).
Perhaps the best way to summarize how much we thought of this company and the experiences they coordinated for us is that upon returing from our trip, we have already contacted the team about returning to Kenya again next year....and there was absoulutely no question that we are going to use to arrange everything for us again!!

Not forgetting our driver Tom who knew exactly where to go to for you too see the migration the big 5 special thanks to each one of our local guides - - you all made a great trip absolutely unforgettable!! Also, the local masaai people are so so nice and welcomed us everywhere we went.

If you love wildlife visiting Tanzania is something you must do.

First let me say that Suricata Safaris was fantastic to work with. I especially loved there guides while climbing Kilimanjaro and going on safari for seven days. I am a professional photographer and they were more than willing to work with me on getting the perfect shot. I can not say enough about them. I have visited many beautiful places and climbed a lot of mountains. Tanzania and Kilimanjaro have there own unique and beautiful vibe. Very similar to the wonderful people that live there. The wildlife is second to none in my opinion. Elephants, lions, hippos, leaopards, cheetahs, antelope, it was all there and in massive numbers. Visiting Tanzania is something every adventurer needs to do. If you are reading this wondering if you should go then do it. You will not regret it.

wonderful first safari with a great ranger
Overall rating
5/5

I believe that everything was just great. This was our first safari and it was as enjoyable for kids than for us. We had the chance to meet the big 5 and the ugly 5 too!
Rachid, our ranger was very nice and professional and he took great care of us. the accomodations we have chosen were good too.
People were very kind and friendly.
Weather was good even though it was cloudy in morning the dyas were sunny.
wildlife and animals were stunning. We could see the wildbeest migration and crossing Mara river : top! even if few have been killed by crocodiles :(
I was a bit disappointed by N'gorongoro crater : I was expecting more of it and thought it would be the best place. To us it was too crowded (40 or 50 cars around a rhino!!!). That's the only bad comment i could give.
For the rest, it was just great.

We did a three day safari, which is enough. It's very lovely to see all those animals, and we saw the big five.
The weather was okey, which is good to go in winter, because then it's not too hot.
The accomodation was fine, but we didn't really meet other people.
We are from Holland, and the most of all those people on these accomodations are from England.
The food was good. Our gide was a nice guy. We are happy with this Safari!
