organized and efficient
5/5

James did a great job organizing our safari. We started our journey with a pick-up in Nairobi which was well organized and made our way to Amboselli, which did not disappoint with lots of animal sightings. Next we went to Tsavo West and East. Tsavo was a bit harder to scout out animals, but our accommodations in Tsavo West had amazing views right from the open air dining area of so many animals visiting the watering hole! Overall we had an amazing experience seeing lots of animals and maximizing our time on Safari. James was very communicative and did his best to make sure we were satisfied.

Very responsive to our inquiries & requests.
5/5

We were very pleased with Legit. They got right back to us when we made our contact via email and provided a detailed itinerary. Great service from beginning to end. The safari vehicle was very new and our safari driver was top notch. We are experienced safari travelers and would definitely use and recommend them again.

Excellent, amazing and experienced
5/5

It was an amazing and wonderful experience for me and my wife. We were lucky to have an experienced tour guide who knew the history behind the sites we visited and told them with excitement and humor. Both the guide and the driver were so friendly and offered an exceptional service, stopping at strategic places for photos and relaxation. The trip is priceless and we are sure to recommend more friends to come visit.

Legit is organizing a trip within the family!
5/5

Dianah at Legit Holidays has been very flexible and super responsive since day 1. She had paid attention to my every request for my tailor-made trip, tried to make us happy with all the accommodations and logistics. We were greeted in person by her at the airport even on a Sunday, which made us feel at home straight away.
Francis, our safari guide has not only been very professional, but he has also been extremely helpful throughout the whole trip. He went above and beyond to make us experience everything Uganda has to offer, I would definitely request him as my guide on my next trip.
Overall, the service was five stars, highly recommended.

Unforgettable experience
5/5

We went to a safari organised by Ngekewa Tours, to Tarangire, Serengeti, Ngorongoro and Manyara parks. Initially it was planned for 4 days, but we enjoyed it so much, so we extended for another day to a total of 5 days. This was a true unforgettable experience, watching and being do close to wildlife and learning about the nature. We saw many lion prides and followed their movements; elephants, giraffes, gazelles and antelopes, zebras, hippos, python, among many other animals. Serengeti is unbeatable and a must to visit if you to to a safari in Tanzania. Ngorongoro has a very distinct landscape and environment, it is very different, so I would definitely include it. Tarangire and Manyara are smaller, but have their character and are also interesting to visit.

Everything was well-organised, our guide Augustino was very knowledgeable and great to interact with. We learned a lot and he guided us very well through the trip. Communication with Joshua from Ngekewa was very efficient and prompt, he was helping out with everything and providing all information timely. We felt very welcome and well taken care of. The safari was also good value for money. I would definitely recommend Ngekewa tours.

I am sure that the organisers will inform about the details, but just to share some information.

You will be advised to talk warm clothes - do not underestimate this advice. In Serengeti it was +30 during the day, +16 in the night; but Ngorongoro is higher in the mountains and it was +14 the whole day and +9 in the night (in August).

It will be very dusty on the way, this is unavoidable. I would recommend long sleeves (eg shirt) and long trousers, breathable, light weight, fast drying (in case you wash them in the evening to use the next day). I was super-happy with my Craghoppers outwear. It is worth having another set of clothes for the evening, and maybe a couple of sets for the day. You may want to have a scarf or bandana to breath through, if it gets too dusty.

Shoes - just comfortable. You won't walk much because it is not allowed to leave the car during the safari. Most useless thing I had with me was the hiking boots. Sandals were just fine.

Sunscreen was useful, anti-mosquito spray in the end was not (but still worth having with you). You will need a hat and sunglasses.

If you are going to camp... Public campings offer very basic conditions (if you are lucky), or even less than that. This is regardless of the organising company, all of them use the same campings. Just be prepared for this. Don't forget to take towels with you. A torch can be useful. You will get a tent, a mattress and a sleeping bag (usually without a zip). Looking back, I would think of something to use as a pillow and a clean pillow case, and I would probably take my own light sleeping bag (because I like to sleep in cleaner conditions). However, we stayed in campings for a couple of nights with my 73-year old mum and we both were fine. We will never forget an elephant coming directly to the camp and zebras grazing next to our tent in the night, so it was worthwhile.

Socket - UK type, 3 flat pins.

If you have a binocular, it is really worth taking.

Great Organization - Great Guide

We booked a budget safari and it was great. Everything was well organized and our guide was fabulous. The value for money of the hotels were good and the value for money of the safari was perfect!

The tour operator is a warm-hearted person who is honest in his involvement with his clients.
5/5

My tour with Bonsai-SA was different to my other tours, in the sense that we had a relaxed program and were not chasing time all the time.
It makes a great difference to the tour experience.
Not everyone is geared to break-up camp in record times. I can travel with Bonsai and still have enough time make camp and to break-up camp with my tent and roof rack.

Our experience with good luck made our adventure better than we could have imagined. we were very lucky!
Anyone traveling would be lucky to have good luck as their guide. Good luck went above and beyond in every capacity to assist us and knows just where to guide.

Trying hard but not there yet
3/5

I've been on over 200 safaris to East Africa in the last 25+ years.
When my first 2 vendors were not able to assist me on this trip I turned to these guys.
I was told they worked with many photographers in the past and understood what was needed.
We struggled to get our guide to do what we wanted/needed for the right shot - all within the rules. He was nice enough and kind BUT he was often on his phone making it difficult to communicate with him as we had to repeat ourselves almost every question/statement.
The guide did not even have binoculars - how can you be a guide and not have binos?
The vehicle was not in great shape. It did what we needed but for only having 3 in the car it was tight, narrow, and the way the rear seat was positioned it meant that the person riding in the back often hit their head on the top of the interior - this was often with the way our guide drove - often going way too fast over certain parts of the roads.
The camps we stayed at were all fine - I'd stayed at them before so knew what to expect.
The value was OK as their price was very aggressive, but the overall level of service was not up to the standard I like.
I give Kameraz a 3.5 out of 5.
