Amazing variety of animals, birds and backdrop

Great wildlife and scenery.
Weather was great
Accomodations for the 3rd night was awesome, the first and second night was great, especially the hidden tunnel that went to the watering hole.
Guide was very good, Nimrod.

Only thing I would do differently is take the train to and from Nairobi to Tsavo East. Driving back into Nairobi (just before we got to the airport area) was very long and painfully slow. We stayed downtown and it must have take at least 2 hours from the airport to our hotel.

We went to Tarangire, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro on a 4-day safari. It’s not everyday you get to see two lions eating wildebeest for breakfast and sleeping on a tent next to grazing cattle and zebras. It’s definitely an amazing experience that I will never forget.

Onan and Gerad with Wamba Safaris were the most hospitable and generous guides we could ask for. We went on an exhilarating morning game drive filled with Jacksons Hartbeasts, Impalas, Giraffes, Warthogs, Elephants, and Buffalo. When we didn't find a lion in the morning, our guides were determined to take us back out at night to see one. We were so lucky when we did find a single lioness out hunting at sunset, it was a breathtaking experience. Murchison Falls National Park is an incredibly beautiful place, which will make you feel truly immersed in Ugandan nature.

Everything about our safari and trip in Tanzania was well planned. Our drive was considerate and drove safely. Our camps where well positioned, lovely food, and staff where so friendly and kind. There is nothing else we could have wished for.

Great Guide, Great Trip!
5/5

My friend and I had an excellent trip with Ecological Wilderness Adventures! Our guide, Gerald, was easy-going, hilarious and very knowledgeable. All the details of the trip were well planned: Brian and his team worked to ensure that all our needs were met. All of the rooms at the lodges had excellent views and the mobile camp was fantastic.
We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and highly recommend other people use this safari company. There are many tour company choices, and we are glad we chose Ecological Wilderness Adventures.

Outstanding African wildlife and wilderness experience

5/5

4 days in Kruger the highlight of my daughter and myselfs 5 week African dry season trip. Had seen all the big 5 by day 2. Transport, accommodation and food were all of a good standard and truly reflected our budget. We were very impressed with our guide Simons passion and knowledge for the wildlife and bush and he kept us fully engaged and involved in the park drives. Full on days on the hunt for viewing animals with never a dull moment. Definitely not just tourists on a bus traveling from A to B here. So many highlights but being charged by a big bull elephant (unharmed), watching 2 lions stalk a herd of zebra, seeing a big herd of buffalo stampede, seeing a leopard up on a big rock silhouetted by the sunset, close encounters with 2 rhino and 2 young hyena deserve a mention. Unfortunately didn't see any cheetah or wild dogs but that's safaris for you and good reason to go back again. If you love the great outdoors and have a desire to see some of the amazing animals that live on our beautiful planet in their natural environment then this is for you. A real taste of Africa awaits. Highly recommend.

The winter weather was ideal with pleasant temperatures. Our guides made every effort to enable us to see the animals that we wanted to see. It was not crowded in the vehicle. The lodge was friendly and comfortable and the food was delicious.

Extraordinary, exciting experience.
5/5

What an amazing week we spent on safari with Shaun from Moriti Safaris. He was extremely patient and helpful from the time we first emailed him regarding the safari until we finally made all the changes and included other activities we wanted.
Shaun treated us to a fantastic safari. His knowledge of everything from the big 5 to the small 5 and everything in between including birds and plants is outstanding. He truly cares for the bush and animals, has a deep understanding of animal behaviour and how everything in the bush fits together into the ecosystem. He passes on his knowledge in a fun but informative way.
We had exciting morning and evening safaris every day seeing lots of animals each time. Mother nature and Shaun really looked after us.
The pride of lions eating the buffalo had to be a highlight. We sat extremely close to watch them eating. It was because of Shauns knowledge that he followed the lone lion from the water hole to the kill.
We were treated to sundowners watching a herd of elephant cross the river and babies playing in the mud at the edge of the river.
Seeing Wild dog didn’t mean a lot to us until Shaun told us how few there are in the park and how incredibly lucky we were to actually sit with them.
Even sitting in camp we were able to watch an abundance of animals at the waterhole and enjoyed the wort-hog family who made themselves at home around camp.
Our accommodation on the way to Camp George was stunning. Flycatcher castle will never be forgotten and the source of many laughs forever. Marnies hospitality was second to none.Laughing Waters also treated us well with a bonus night safari and delicious meals. Finally Camp George is a wonderful place to stay with lots of space both indoor and out.
Lindsay ensured that we didn’t go hungry by cooking fabulous meals three times a day with snacks for on safari. Her meals were so delicious we all had to loosen our belts by the end of our stay.
Shaun looked after our every need from the time he picked us up until he dropped us back at our accommodation. We felt like we left a long time friend when we said goodbye.
We highly recommend Shaun and Moriti Safaris for an experience that couldn’t be surpassed.

About: Tanzania
OurNorthern Tanzania Luxury Lodge Safari booked by Beatus at Donak Safaris was excellent
Overall rating
5/5

We have just returned from an amazing safari with Donak Safaris starting with our first night in Arusha, 1 night in Tarangire, 1 night in Lake Manyara, 2 nights in Serengeti and 1 night Ngorongoro. Our guide Yusuph was excellent very helpful and knowledgeable with a knack of finding the best places to view the Big 5 and we saw them all. We received a welcome note from Yusuph a couple of days before we traveled which was a nice personal touch. Every destination had its high lights and we wouldn't have changed a thing, except not finding the Tree Climbing Lions in Lake Manyara, but they are wild animals and we know they don't 'appear to order' !. I had always wanted to see the sunrise over the Serengeti, I saw it twice and I wasn't disappointed. The biggest surprise was Ngorongoro we entered the crater as the sun began to rise, it was a magical experience and we saw many more animals than we expected including hippos walking from one waterhole to another a sight you do not see very often. We traveled with our 27 year old daughter and have all been on safaris in other countries before but our experience with Donak did not disappoint, the planning was excellent and not a minute of our holiday was wasted.
We were all impressed with the excellent toilet facilities provided at the picnic areas in all the parks we visited.
Staff at all the lodges we stayed in were very welcoming and helpful.

Terrific Vacation with Hello Tanzania ! :)
5/5

I visited Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, for work last summer (June 2013) and was looking to do some tourism over the weekends. As a young woman travelling alone, safety and reasonable prices were my two main concerns. I ended up contacting "Hello Tanzania" and did not regret it at all!

The trips were a two-day safari to Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara and a a one-day tour to Zanzibar (StoneTown, Nungwi Beach, Spice Tour). The two trips went incredibly well. Even though I contacted them on a very short notice (a couple of days before), they still managed to organize everything in only a few days and I was able to do even more than what I was expecting.

The travel agent/owner was particularly kind (had a great sense of humor) and was extremely professional! Their driver, and the tour guides were also very kind and helpful.

All that to say that I strongly recommend "Hello Tanzania" and that I would do another trip with them in a heartbeat.
