Just back from a fantastic trip with Indigo safaris. Everything was really well organised, trip was in one off the best periods and saw everything we wanted to see. Would definitely book again at indigosafaris. Thank you.

We stayed at KuSungula lodge near Kruger Nat Park. This was the most amazing trip ever. We spent time doing open air bush rides through the reserve as well as several days with a guide in Kruger. The entire experience was awesome. The local people were lovely and so helpful and our lodge experience was simply amazing! Seeing the animals in their natural habitat without fear of us was indescribable.

Great half-day trip from Nairobi

4/5

I went to the park without expecting to see the Big Five, but hoping to have a nice, short, manageable experience in the outdoors on my first trip to Africa. My hotel organized a guide for me, but I only had the afternoon available, which isn't usually ideal. My guide was not terribly knowledgeable about the birds, but he was very good at finding the animals, and we saw all kinds of things. It started slowly, with glimpses of some hippos in a pond (so he said, I wouldn't swear to it), then some giraffe, then ostriches, several different types of gazelle (some quite close), zebra, wildebeest and warthogs, secretary bird, white-eyed eagle (?), a couple of Black Rhino ambling under the acacia trees, and finally, as the grand finale, an adult male lion sitting just beside the road watching the zebras, and eventually crossing just in front of the jeep.
By all accounts this was a pretty exceptional day at the park, but even without the rhino and the lion, it was a beautiful spot, especially in the evening, and a really delightful way to spend a free afternoon in Nairobi. Definitely exceeded my expectations.

About: Kenya
An unforgettable experience I would recommend to everyone!

During our trip, every interaction with locals was positive and we felt welcome and safe no matter where we were in Kenya. My family and I were picked up at our hotel in Nairobi promptly at 7:00 am and taken to the busy downtown area where, after a bit of waiting, we transferred to another vehicle and driver to take us to Masai Mara for a safari. On the way to Masai Mara, we stopped at the Great Rift Valley and were treated to stunning views of the "Cradle of Humanity". During our safari, we experienced spectacular sights of wildlife--including four of the big five! Our safari lodge stay was top notch. Also, we learned about the unique and fascinating customs of the Masai with a visit to a traditional Manyatta (village). We then travelled to the southeast coast (Mombasa and Diani), where we explored the rich cuisine, crafts and history of Kenya's Swahili culture. After Mombasa, we went back to the vibrant and growing capital, Nairobi--where we visited markets and museums, while experiencing more of Kenya's delicious cuisine!
The entire trip was unforgettable for me and my family. I would highly recommend Kenya as a travel destination to anyone who asks!

S Africa should be on everyone's bucket list!! Amazing animals, Amazing scenery, and amazing people

S Africa has always been #1 on my bucket list. I planned a trip to visit as much of S Africa as I could in 25 days. Johannesburg, Kruger, Port Elizabeth, and the garden route to Cape Town.
We arrived in S Africa and spent 1 night before being picked up for our first safari camp the next morning. I found Viva Safari online and they provided everything I wanted in a 6 night safari trip. They picked us up on Johannesburg, and a driver takes you the 6 hrs to the greater Kruger area. You stay in a lodge (tent, luxury tent, cabin, or room lodge) right in the middle of beautiful wildlife. You have all your meals, and 2 game drives per day; except the 2 full days that you have in Kruger Park. The employees are friendly, the drivers are excellent at finding wildlife, and you meet people from all over the world. At the end of your safari, the company drives you back to Johannesburg.
Johannesburg isn't safe to explore on your own so we took a tour to the Apartheid Museum and to Soweto Township.
Next we flew to Port Elizabeth, rented a car, where we drove to our next safari camp in the Amakhala area. Bukela was a luxury resort much different than Viva Safari (but also more expensive - *check out TravelZoo.com for great deals). Here we spent 5 nights with 2 game drives every day. Beautiful, beautiful scenery and lots of wildlife.
From there we're spent a day at Addo Elephant Park. *All of our overnight stays from here, down the garden route, and to Cape Town were booked through Airbnb.
We then took 9 days to travel down the garden route. We stopped at Tsitsikamma National Park, went bongee jumping at Bloukrans Bridge, spent at day with the elephants at an Elephant Sanctuary, visited Monkey land and Birds of Eden, went through the Cango Caves, visted an ostrich farm, and saw beautiful views of the coast while driving.
In Cape Town we went to the District 6 Museum, took a free informational tour of the City (guruwalk.com), visited Bo-Kaap, and did a township tour of Langa. *We really wanted to visit Robben Island, but tickets sell out days in advance so plan accordingly.
Overall, we had an AMAZING trip. All of the people that we met were welcoming and friendly. We will definitely visit again.
