Fantastic experience with highly professional team looking after guests to ensure the best moments!
5/5

It was really a fantastic experience with highly professional team (Antony) looking after the guests to ensure the most memorable experience. Understand the wild life so well that we could benefit extra view, undersatnding the animals habit.
A peaceful moment in our life. Thanks for that amzing experience. Antony has exceeed all expectation we had. He raise the bar of detailed service at a new levels. he BBQ, drive carefully, nice and quiet, polite and so experience and knowlageable with animals, birds, trees, etc.
Also, a special thanks for recommending the Waybury guest house and arranging the pick-up from the airport and drop-off afterward. Everything was executed perfectly! 100% right.

Thanks again Antony from your guest: Francois, Alexis and Karine.

Great experience, great driver
5/5

Matoke Tours was friendly and helpful from the booking until the good-bye from the driver weeks later. Everything worked out well, although there was a little confusion about the Gorilla permits on the first day. Other than that everything was perfectly organised. The tour itself was amazing, which was also due to the beautiful scenery that Uganda has to offer. I would go with Matoke again if I had more time in Uganda. Value for money is awesome and the customer service is very good as well. Thank you.

Perfect experience in every way
5/5

We used Gazelle Safari's as completely newcomers to Tanzania. Umang and his team were fantastic at accommodating our exact needs. Being students, we had a defined budget, timeframe and idea of what we wanted (not the easiest customers), and they put together a great package. Gazelle safari's made us feel welcome, listened to and did a wonderful job.

Family Weaver - Tailor Made Safaris absolutely delivered!
5/5

This was our first trip to Africa and importantly it was an opportunity to see our son Ollie for the first time in 8 months. He is studying in KwaZulu-Natal to be a field guide so we were keen to have a well organised, exciting and interesting vacation where we could learn new things, see and experience the sights and culture of the country that Ollie has fallen in love with and that would stretched and add to his knowledge through our guide.
Tailor Made Safaris absolutely delivered!

Despite having a hiccup at the start of the holiday when we missed our connecting flight to Richards Bay (through no fault of ours or Tailor Made Safaris!), Nick and Freya kept in touch, dealt with our frustrations, offered solutions and worked round the problem while assisting us with communication our son who was patiently waiting to be collected.

When we did eventually arrive, Freya our guide slipped into our family unit with ease while retaining the necessary professionalism and excellent hosting skills. Being British, I confess that the prospect of sharing much of every waking hour with a stranger in a strange country was daunting…I should not have worried. Freya put our mind at rest saying that if we wanted time to ourselves to just say and arrangements would be made.

The attention to detail regarding our interest, our needs, our food preferences was first rate and it did not go un-noticed that Freya altered plans without even a blink when we changed our minds, no fuss, no drama, it just got done.

It is very hard to come up with a favourite part of the holiday, there were so many but here are some…

Tembe allowed me to cross of my bucket list “To see a leopard in the wild” which I was absolutely thrilled about.

Seeing Ollie’s face when he came back from a diving trip while we were at Thonga Beach Lodge where he saw turtle, white shark, whale, dolphins and heard whale song. He was totally buzzing!

Seeing Isilo, the elephant with 2.7 m long tusks, at night in the camp at Tembe.

Stepping out of our chalets at Mkhuze and iMfolozi and having game just 10 feet away.

Seeing a bull Elephant walking down the road at Mkhuze without a care in the world and being given insights into these magnificent creatures by Freya while she drove backwards down the road to allow our tusked friend to go where ever he wished…which was to follow us for ¼ mile down the road!

Seeing how much Ollie has learnt about the wildlife in Africa in such a short space of time and to have an expert on hand to further test his skills and fill in any gaps.

The first sight of the Indian Ocean and the beach at Thonga as we crowned the last dune before our decent to the resort was breath taking.

All were fantastic but these are just some of the experiences!

Tailor Made Safaris created a diverse, interesting trip with plenty to see and do, good quality accommodation and importantly fantastic game viewing.
The mix of basic “in park”, luxury safari tent, lodge and hotel accommodation was a great introduction to vacationing in South Africa.

With any holiday of this type there are two important questions
1) Would we pay good money to go again?
2) Would we recommend the guide company to friends and family?
Our answer in both cases is a resounding yes!
Thanks Freya for being a fantastic guide and for putting up with us and thanks to Nick for drawing up and proposing such a great vacation (and for entrusting your wife to us Brits for two weeks).

To further emphasise our commitment to this level of adulation, we have recently booked to return to South Africa and to again use Tailor Made Safaris. I should also add that this time we return with my mother and father, my daughter and her partner!

Professional team, friendly and high concern for customer satisfaction
5/5

We spent one month in Tanzania over Christmas (2013) and New Year (2014) and organized everything through "It started in Africa'". We had a truly marvellous time! They planned an amazing 6 days/5 nights safari where we visited Tarangire, Lake Mayanara, Serengeti and N'gorongoro. Dickson, our guide was of great assistance in providing great information and allowing us to see the Big 5 admits numerous other animals. We also did the Kili climb via the Lemosho route which we strongly recommend as it is less crowded and allows more time to enjoy the mountain. Rama and his crew were very obliging; with Julius (assistant-guide) we managed to summit for sunrise on New Year's Day. My wife made it in 4h30 and I in 6h00. Finally they coordinated everything both around Arusha and in Zanzibar. A young and promising agency which should strongly be considered for any trip in northern Tanzania

All over Tanzania with Gazelle
5/5

It is with great enthusiasm I attempt to encourage you to utilize Gazelle Safaris Limited if you are planning a holiday to Tanzania, wherever in the country you may be wishing to visit. Beenaa and Umang will listen to your wishes and personalize especially for you with a wide variety of options to fit your schedule and budget. Gazelle Safaris is headquartered out of Mbeya, Tanzania near Ruaha National Park and you will quickly gauge this is Umang’s background and true love, but do not for a second think they do not know the rest of the country extensively. They do. They love their country and have travelled it extensively themselves. When they recommend a place to you, it is likely because they went there firsthand and speak from personal knowledge.
My girlfriend and I’s itinerary included Zanzibar, Moshi (Kilimanjaro), Arusha (Ngorongoro Crater) and finished up in Ruaha National Park. If you look at a map of Tanzania, you see it means Gazelle Safaris whisked us around a large portion of the country, and they made it seem effortless! I had never been to this part of the continent previously so there were stresses about not knowing the language and making contact with the right people when you arrived in a new place. My fears were quickly dissolved as there was not a single instance where I got off a plane in a new location and did not see someone from Gazelle Safaris holding up a sign with our names on it waiting to pick us up, take us to our hotel and provide excellent guidance regarding what to do in the area while we were at each location.
Although Beenaa and Umang cannot be at every place in Tanzania to guide you, you will feel as if they hand-selected the guides who match your needs perfectly everywhere you travel. In Zanzibar, we had a guide give us a Spice Tour, describe historical facts about Stone Town and drive us over the entire island, including out to the ocean where we spent a full-day on a tour snorkeling with dolphins and having assorted local fruits and large lobster tails for lunch. A tour which Beenaa personally recommended when we told her the type of activities we liked.
Although we were not mountain climbers, we still wanted to see Mount Kilimanjaro. Gazelle arranged for a private day-hike with a guide where my girlfriend and I were able to hike up a lower portion of the mountain as the guide described local wildlife and vegetation as well as allow us time around the local town of Moshi.
From there travel was arranged by vehicle to Ngorongoro Crater. We spent the night near the crater prior to the safari the next day at a resort which was simply idyllic. Having a self-sustaining vegetable garden on the premises, pool and individual bungalows to make you feel as if the whole place was your own as we sipped drinks on our patio. It was another Gazelle recommendation and they were spot on. The following day was only even better as it was our first day of safari, and it would be difficult to describe how wonderful it was. Having a guide able to sense when you wanted to hear information about the wildlife, and when to just let you soak in the majesty of the place can be hard to find.
The last leg of the journey was our favorite. We flew a prop plane directly into Ruaha National Park, where Umang literally met us at the end of the runway and after getting our bags into the vehicle we were on safari looking at a pack of elephants within 2 minutes. AMAZING! Ruaha is perhaps not on your list of safaris to go on, but change your plans and let Umang show you around. You can see it is his passion and it is here his joy for the country and what it means to him are revealed. He simply wants to share it with you and you feel blessed because he allows you into his world.
The accommodation the last couple days was at a tented camp which put a cap on an already perfect holiday. In our travels we had spent the night at; a resort, a high-end hotel, a tented camp, a mid-range hotel, and even a place for hikers. All with the expert help of Beenaa and Umang listening to what our needs were and what we wanted out of our time in Tanzania.
It is without hesitation I recommend Gazelle Safaris Limited to you!!!

Every phase of our trip was meticulously organized. The lodges were excellent and the staff were highly professional and personal. We were well looked after and entertained throughout our trip. This was a truly memorable safari and we strongly recommend Roho Ya Chui for safari excursions.
