Perfect organisation
5/5

Communication is quick and professional. Everything we planned was perfect organized. William and Danford, our guides, are very friendly, have patience, are very good drivers (sometimes important..), and have a good knowledge. Thank you for the great time!!

Great tour of Amboselli
5/5

My mum and I visited Kenya from Australia and did a 3 day / 2 night safari to Amboselli with Bed of Roses. We really couldn’t fault anything about the tour. We were met at the airport by Mercy and we stayed at OlTukai lodge which was amazing. Our driver Daniel was very good and knowledgeable and did his best for us to see all the animals in the park. Despite the time of year not being the best for Amboselli we still saw lot of animals including elephants, zebras, giraffes, flamingos, hippos and a lion. We were lucky on our last day too that we saw the mountain in great visibility. We went with the 4x4 Safari jeep with open roof and I highly recommend this over the minibuses if your budget allows (although the minibuses we saw also had the open roof so you wont miss out on views, just it was a little bit wet and muddy so the 4x4 was reassuring we wouldn't get stuck).

We realised we were the first customers for this company and this was a little nerve-wracking for us as we wanted to ensure the company was legitimate. Dickson was very responsive and sent us the accommodation confirmation (which we needed anyway for the entry visa) and reassured us we were booked in for the tour. He also advised us they are registered with the TRA, and I independently checked this.
We felt very well looked after, safe and I would recommend this company.

Excellent and Accommodating
5/5

If you’ve decided to travel to Tanzania for Mt Kilimanjaro or Zanzibar then I don’t know how you could possibly leave without a safari in the world’s most recognizable (and justifiably so) parks like the Ngorongoro Crater or the Serengeti.

After you’re set on a safari, you’ll go on your own safari to pick one guide service in a dizzying field of operators. Personally, I think it’s important to choose a local operator and if you’re like me then I am delighted to recommend Robert, Silas and Elia with Tanzania’s own RO Scavenger.

RO Scavenger is made up of an experienced team who my wife and I will always remember for the exceptional, tailored experience they provided for our honeymoon in February and March 2024.

Robert and Silas were incredibly professional and accommodating as they provided timely responses to all inquiries and arranged a seamless pickup to drop-off experience. They really wow’d my wife and I at each possible occasion with flourishes for our honeymoon at many accommodations and a wonderful gift we will cherish forever upon departure. I greatly appreciated the detail they put into our customized itinerary.

Of course a safari is nothing without its guide and driver. Our guide and driver was the multi-talented, universally respected Elia. Elia had worked with several of the other operators we encountered during our safari and had clearly built relationships with several other guides we met. These relationships helped us spot all of the Big 5 and it was also a highlight for us to see Elia help other guides whose vehicles had broken down. Initially, I was surprised by how young Elia was to single-handedly lead us for a 7-day safari, but he proved to be more than capable as a guide, driver, and mechanic!

On safari, you’ll notice most travelers are following a similar itinerary, in a similar vehicle, with the same spots for lunch. In conversations with other tourists you’ll marvel at what you saw and you’ll typically be able to say you saw the exact same things. The difference in experience and therefore quality for my wife and I came from the added touches RO Scavenger provided us related to the accommodations. We booked rather close to our start date, but with a small window, RO Scavenger were able to secure some unique and varying retreats, resorts, tents and lodges that kept each night special. We loved the experience of staying in a traveling tent that moved with the migration of the wildebeest, but we also enjoyed the drinks by the pool resort, and the boutique retreat houses.

I believe we received the best value and best Tanzanian safari experience possible with RO Scavenger! Without hesitation I’d recommend this team.

Very reliable and helpful.

This was my first round in Uganda and I was pleasantly surprised. The service provided by our tour operator was very reliable and we got our money’s worth, and on top of all that we got to see the gorillas which made the trip fantastic!

Fantastic experience!
5/5

We are really happy we chose RO Scavenger Safaris as our tour operator. Silas, our contact person, was really flexible and helpful from the first moment when we started planning the 4-day safari. The trip was adapted to our preferences and we couldn’t be more happy with the final itinerary. Our guide Edward was the best. He constantly adapted the game drive to what we wanted and searched for the best places to spot the animals, all while answering our endless questions. 100% recommended. Asante!

Professional and solicitous team
5/5

We contacted Likana Safaris Uganda for a three-day safari to the Murchison Falls and we ended up having a thoroughly enjoyable experience thanks to the professional and friendly Likana team.
Since the planning phase, we had a courteous and competent interaction that allowed tailoring the programme to our needs. In the safari we had Patrick as the driver, who was not only an accomplished driver but also a very well informed guide who, as a former ranger, gave us very interesting insights into the wildlife and the various issues related to it. We were accompanied by Bonny, too, who was a pleasant companion and always attentive to our needs and ready to readjust the schedule according to the changing needs and opportunities.
The safari drives were enjoyable and allowed us to see a lot of game, from elephants to oribis. Deserving particular mention a not too patient leopard with its arboreal pantry and the elegant crowned cranes. In the short cruise towards the falls, we could see some crocs and many hippos and enjoy the young but already majestic Nile relaxing after the drop, seen at a distance. On the following day, the walk at the top of the falls gave us a different view of the same river, thunderously plunging in a cloud of spray, leaving an unforgettable mark on our memory. On the way back we stopped at the Ziwa rhino sanctuary and took a short hike for a close encounter with these amazing beasts.
Altogether, it was an interesting and informative experience made more pleasant by the attention and professionality of the highly commended Likana Safaris crew.
We know where to look for our next safari in Uganda: Likana Safaris Uganda.

Non-delivery and bad delivery of promised service
1/5

I really cannot recommend this company Tall Masai. My pickup at the airport for which I paid extra was 20 min. too late. My free pick-up from the hotel which was included in the price was 40 min. too late, because they combined it with another paid airport pickup. Be very careful which pick-ups are included in the price and quote they offer.
However, free pick-up from the hotel was included in the quote of Tall Masai, but suddenly Bensson wanted extra money for this.
I selected Tall Masai for an 8 days tour because Bensson indicated in the quote that safari start at 6.30 in the morning. On the first morning, they did not get one customer placed in another accommodation into the care in time, thus, the safari in Masai Mara started at 7.00. Then, the 2WD car got stuck in a mud-hole and we were lucky that there was another car around to pull us out. On the second day at 15.30 the second car broke, they managed to continue to drive slowly on the straight way back to the camp reaching already there around 5pm while the parks closes at 6.30 (and the walki-talki was turned off, thus, not hearing where interesting animals could be to drive to). Hence, the “late afternoon/early evening game drive was no real one” because no walki-talki was used and because they indicated if we stop we might not be able to continue. Thus, we hardly dare to even asked them to drive slower as they already did for taking photos.
The worst thing was in Amboseli where the (fourth or fifth) driver I had indicated already in the evening that the game drive the next morning starts at 8.30 (despite the agreement mentioned above to start at 6.30). Bensson did not intervene despite being reminded about the contract but tried afterward to justify this very late start with some Amboseli entrance fee issues, but he apparently does not understand what it means to agree on terms. But he just promises and then does not deliver.
They also work together with a hotel in Naivasha called Leisure Apex Resort. When I need to get medicine with a five-minute one way car ride, the receptionist told me that he called a driver who does it for 500 Kenyan Shillings in total for both ways. But then he informed me that he has to inform his manager "Sylvia" about this. And afterwards he suddenly informed me that the trip now costs 1000 Kenyan Shillings .... . And when that driver arrived he immediately also claimed 1000 Kenyan Shillings. Guess what happened.... . I cannot recommend to stay there. Even not jam or honey was provided, also not upon request, for the breakfast bread with butter.
Apparently, Tall Masai works together with a bunch of other companies, and you feel like cars are filled up every day newly just to maximize profit. For example, People who have seen for six days Zebras are suddenly confronted with one person of a one-day safari who's main goal it is to find a Zebra (not that easy in our case in Amboseli). Customers in the same van who contracted with one of the other companies (Karibu) said that they were promised that there would be only 6 people in the car during their 7-days tour but occasionally we were 9 people in the car.
I took the 8 days tour with two full days Massai Mara at the beginning. I ended up having the same route two times (main road via the viewing point to Mara River and back). They just put me consecutively on two vans which start in the Mara.
On the vans: they provide 2WD vans also during the rather rainy and muddy season in April. While you get what you pay, it is rather inappropriate in my opinion to offer at all 2WD cars in this weather conditions. And then get stuck in the mud in the first morning and the breaking down of the van on the second day just supports this opinion. In general, I got the impression that 2WD vans tend to stay mainly on the main roads, which reduces the covering range of the safari.
I asked for a financial compensation proposal after the journey, and since then I have not heard for several days from Bensson/Tall Masai.
As mentioned, I really cannot recommend Tall Masai safari, or you should try to at least not to pay the full amount.
I do not understand how a company like Tall Masai with such an opinion about an agreement can be further listed on this webpage.

Friendly
4/5

I recently had the opportunity to embark on a journey with Danil Scenic Tours through Kenya, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. From start to finish, the trip was incredibly well-organized, and I was impressed by the attention to detail and professionalism of the tour guides.

Throughout the journey, I learned so much about the culture, history, and wildlife of Kenya. The accommodations provided by Danil Scenic Tours were top-notch, offering comfort and luxury in the heart of nature.

Despite the many activities packed into each day, everything ran smoothly, and I never felt rushed or overwhelmed. Additionally, the warmth and hospitality of the local people left a lasting impression on me, making me feel truly welcomed and at home.

Overall, my experience with Danil Scenic Tours exceeded all expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for an enriching and immersive travel experience in Kenya.

Excellent service and taking care a lot about the needs, wants and request of their guest.
5/5

100 % highly recommended this company. I availed a budget type tour package but I must say that all the services,food,accomodation,tour,guide/driver are great and worth it. Fiona and team quickly respond to all my quiries and she make sure everything will become smooth and convenient.Despite of some issues with transportation, still their team manage to arrange it well with alternative solutions. Our driver/guide KIKITU is superb and knowledgable in telling stories and facts about safaris and he knows how to handle well the tour. The price that I paid is worth it and I didnt feel that I spend budget type tour coz I feel luxurious the way Kenyan people treat me. They are welcoming and hospitable with genuine smile as always. Such an excellent experience with worthy price and priceless memories.I will definitely comeback and I'll make sure I will choose again this company☺️

Much Love,
Markie of Dubai
