Good value
4/5

This was our first safari, so I have nothing to compare it to. I can say this. The service and people were wonderful. They picked us up on time, dropped us off for a breakfast. Were friendly and personable. It was a wonderful day :) I would recommend them.

The falls are the highlight of this park, especially when the orange river is in flood after good rains.Magnificent.

If you're into bush vibe, this park is a great destination; not so much so if you're into wildlife.

Hwange National Park is quite a large national park, which gives off a really nice bush vibe since it is definitely not overrun with tourists at all, neither in minibuses or private vehicles. Due to the vegetation of rather dense miombo woodland, you can see wildlife practically only at the many waterholes; safaris consist therefore of driving from waterhole to waterhole. Due to the overpopulation of elephants you'll see a lot of these! It seems the mismanagement of Zimbabwe by the current regime has had a surprisingly limited influence on the park in terms of wildlife. Conclusion: if you're into bush vibe, Hwange National Park is a great destination; not so much so if you're into scenic beauty or wildlife.

Other than crocodiles and hippos, land animals are hidden by the papyrus lining the banks of the delta. Abundant birdlife.

A wunderful experience: less luxury, more nature.
4/5

The tour guide is a very experienced man. Hes still accompained from his colleague since many years. The two men are very motivated to let the guest see and know everything which is possible: "reading" the nature and animals, explaining background, changements, developments. They have a lot of patiences, can specially for those who love wait, who have enough time, who like to search and to oserve the animals for more than just a few minutes. With Kangela Safaris there is no rushing around in the bush: there is Quality instead of quantity. Khangela Safaris is a Partner for People who like to come very close to nature and animals by all their senses, for people who like to walk. We loved the comfortable Camping in the bush right next to the waterwhole with the lovely selfmade meals on the fire, the beautiful evenings with storytelling... and linstening to the Sound of the animal.

After having visited the kruger national park and the St Lucia wetlands we visited the Addo elephant park. I expected many elephants here and that proved to be true. We sqaw many of them and we enjoyed to see them from a short distance and we could study their behaviour. What we did not expect were the other animals we saw here. we saw koedoes, zebra's, wild pigs, water birds and a buffalo.

Pilanesberg - Nice for a quite trip from Johannesburg

Pilanesberg is a nice reserve but not spectacular. We saw 4 of the big 5 but sitings were sparce. Good guides are key as we probably would have missed a great number of animals without them.
