Gecko adventures is the most professinal safari operator
5/5

Gecko adventures is a very professional company. Their cars (open landcruiser 4x4), their guides (our guide was Said), the lodges with which they work together are all excellent. The company employees (we worked with Rama) are also very efficient and help you to take the right decision quickly and in the right way. We visited Selous and we were impressed from the landscape, the safari itsself and the mudhuts of River camp.

An adventure and experience of a lifetime with memories that will last forever
5/5

We knew very little about Africa as a destination but knew we wanted to see the major tourist destinations we had heard people speak about (Cape Town, Kruger, Vic Falls, Chobe, Okavango Delta). Encompass Africa put together our whole holiday based on what little information we gave them. We took advice from their highly experienced staff who had actually lived in the country and had amazing knowledge of the surrounds; we were able to see exactly what was planned through their amazing virtual tour which was emailed to us. Encompass Afrca captured exactly what we wanted to see from amazing safari parks so we could get up close and personal with the big five, seeing Vic Falls and experiencing the culture of the locals. All this was planned around beautiful accomodation which was in itself a memorable experience. We would absolutely book another holiday with Encompass Africa and would definately recommend them to others. We dealt with professional, polite, experienced staff who were able to accomodate and recommend places of interest which gave us an experience of a lifetime.

Saw the Big Five and much more, plus excellent Cultural Tour
5/5

For the Safari we had an educated Masai guide with a natural feel for finding wildlife. Our Land Rover was superior to the other off road vehicles we saw. Accommodations were excellent. The wildlife viewings exceeded my expectations. The Tanzania adventure was tailor made for my wife and me. It included a cultural tour of 5 days with excellent local guides and a great deal of walking. On the list of attractions were farms, schools, medical clinics, an orphanage, and home hospitality with meals. The whole package seemed to me cost effective and flawlessly coordinated. I highly recommend East Africa Wild.

7 Day Northern Namibia Tour
5/5

The whole trip was very well planned out and organized - we stopped at all the hot spots and had a decent amount of time to enjoy each place. All the supplies and campsites were amazing and the guides were knowledgeable, personable and fun! They were also excellent cooks! I felt that all the guests had their own personal interests acknowledged and accommodated. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience of Namibia via Wilddog Safaris!

An amazing safari experiece!!
5/5

Our group of four adults had a wonderful 9-day, 8-night safari with Gosheni in January 2015. Before arriving in Africa, we contacted nearly 80 safari companies to let them customize the safari of our dreams at an affordable rate. Peter at Gosheni was able to provide the best deal of all of the companies, while still adhering to our request for a private safari for the four of us in a new Toyota Land Cruiser that would cover Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro Crater, Serengeti, and Masai Mara National Parks (we needed to end up in Nairobi so we included Masai Mara at the tail end of our trip). And Peter ensured that we would stay at superb lodgings at either very nice lodges (e.g., Ngorongoro Farm House) or luxury tented camps (e.g., Maramboi Tented Camp) with amazing food and service staff.

As for the safari itself, it was unparalleled. Our driver/guide was Jonas, who we can't say enough great things about. He is an extremely knowledgeable veteran of the safari industry who has a very keen eye for spotting wildlife; it was clear that all of the other safari guides out there look up to him since he is a superstar wildlife spotter. Jonas was also very gracious to give us nightly lessons on wildlife ecology, anti-poaching efforts, and other important conservation issues in East Africa. He was an excellent host for a week, and with him we saw more animals (including very rare ones that are highly endangered) than we could have ever expected to see. For example, we saw nearly a thousand elephants, nearly a hundred lions (including a dozen grown males with manes), 12 cheetahs (including four babies), 3 leopards, 1 black rhino, and a serval cat (which is very rarely seen in the wild). In addition, we saw tens of thousands of wildebeests (including babies born the same day) and zebras (also including many babies), and lots of Cape buffalo, hyenas, and other animals, not to mention 90 species of birds. It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Our experience in our 1.5 days in Masai Mara (on the Kenyan side of the border) was a bit less spectacular, which is not surprising given that the wildebeest population was concentrated in the Ndutu area of Seregeti National Park at this time of the year so many of the predators were there too. But the Tanzanian adventure outlived any expectations that we had and we couldn't give a higher recommendation. If you choose to go with any company other than Gosheni (especially if you can book Jonas as your driver/guide), you're making a big mistake!! Happy safaris!

Excellent Photography Tour
5/5

One of the best South African photo tours I have been on!
If you want privacy from people on game drives (you will be the only vehicle on a sighting),this tour is a must! The camps/lodges are at the top in my book and the private chef who will cook all your meals is 5 STAR!
Shaun is a VERY knowledgable guide who understands animal behavior, tracking wild animals, and the ecosystems of the Klaserie, and Kruger NP. Your safety is also his number one priority when you are on foot tracking animals...which is awesome to be able to do. He understands how photographers work in the field and how demanding we can be at times. Do not hesitate...book a tour with Shaun Taylor of Moriti Private Safaris.. After taking this trip, I consider Shaun a close friend and working partner. I will continue to do all my trips with Moriti Private Safaris and look forward to my next photographic adventure with Shaun.

Excellent surprise
5/5

The overall trip was very nice and the nature its self was awesome.
We have been very lucky with our guide, Jackson, who was very flexible and very helpful.
About the trip, we liked a lot Ngorongoro crater, the camp Angata, and the hiking we did with the ranger.
Moreover the last day we have been to Arusha national park, that was very nice and where we had an incredible hiking with giraffe, buffalos and baboons.
We loved a lot the Maramboi in Tarangire, great location.
In Zanzibar, the hotel was nice, very good service and food. The location and the beach was awesome.
We have been also to the Z hotel for dinner, that was fully booked when we tried to reserve; it was nice but the beach in metwembe was far better.
Overall, I would say that we were happy about this experience, and we would suggest your organization.

Mt Kilimanjaro 7days - a trip of a lifetime
5/5

I was recommended to use Big Expedition by a friend of a friend who raved about their trip up Kili.... and to that point, I too am totally and utterly recommending them to any fellow climbers.... Professionalism, friendliness, kindness, going the extra mile were just the norm to the team at Big Expeditions.
I went with a close girl friend of mine, our guide Safi, asst guide Arnold Ramsoo, chef Edward(yes our own chef), met us the day before to explain what we would/could expect, they also checked out bags to ensure we had all the necessary equipment needed for our climb. Whatever we had missed they rented to us which was an absolute saving grace as one cannot remember everything, especially as a novice adventurer ;)
Our climb starts,, we were picked up in the morning from the guest house where we met the whole team (porters, waiter) that were going with us, the big smiles, friendliness and helpfulness made us feel very safe and excited too...
The first day was a rather long gentle climb and as we were coming up to a lunch break, we were guided up to a tent which was set up for us with our chef and waiter service - this took us by total surprise and we were really touched,, btw this happens at each meal time so every meal was just amazing...
We had hired our own toilet - VERY much recommended, worth EVERY cent ;-)
Each camping ground we reached, our tents had been pitched for us, warm water to have a small wash and a rather yummy meal awaited us... I am vegetarian in which chef Edward (an amazing man) created many different vege meals for me... one surely does not get hungry climbing this beautiful mountain.
Safi (our guide) and Ramsoo (asst guide) were perfect gentlemen, kind, friendly and incrediably motivating at each step,,, pole pole!!!!!
Unfortunately my friend had really bad altitude sickness so couldn't make it to the top but Safi stayed and took good care of her while I stepped out with Ramsoo and one of the porters (can't remember his name right now, wish I could) to reach the rooftop of Africa,,,, This was the most exhilarating experience that I have ever had in my life,,,, Ramsoo was amazing, he knew when I needed to stop and catch my breath, ensured I was hydrated at all times and they both kept me going with beautiful Swahili songs and motivating me on every step,,, the roof top of Africa - words cannot describe, you just have to do it!!!
Our climb down was a rather arduous for me as my knees were incrediably painful in which Ramsoo was incredibly kind and most helpful even when I had tears of pain, exhaustion and frustration, he kept me going with songs, chitchat and plain motivation,,,
Each day was an experience that will stay in my memory forever but our last day always brings a smile as the chef created the most special meal for us,,,, I can't tell you as that would ruin the surprise ;-))
Huge thanks to Nicholas, Angel and his group of staff at Big Expeditions,, one amazing trip!!
Special thanks go to the guys who ensured that we had the best climb ever,,, a few names (can't remember all right now) Safi, Ramsoo, Chef Edward, Richard, my porter, our waiter, Rasta and the rest of the guys,,, thank you thank you,,,, God bless...
