Outstanding Safari Experience with Lulu of Sacred Wilderness Expeditions
5/5

My experience with Sacred Wilderness Expeditions was exceptional. Lulu was incredibly responsive, reassuring, and flexible with my last-minute requests. She was both friendly and professional, and I received almost immediate responses every time I contacted her.

Not only did Lulu offer the best price, but her dedication and expertise made me feel completely at ease, even as I embarked on the most expensive trip of my life. It turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences I’ve ever had! Lulu’s attention to detail and commitment to tailoring the safari to my exact preferences ensured that everything went smoothly, creating memories that will last a lifetime.

The greatest adventure ever...
5/5

dear friends,

every since i was a little girl and read a book about Africa, it has been my dream to visit this fascinating continent, to discover and explore its people, and its wild and untamed nature.
when my girls became old enough to keep the precious memories we would make for their lifetime, we decided that now was the time to go and make dreams come true.
while researching, i received many offers. however one of them stood out: Mr Edward Makundi (i will call him Eddie from now) from Plex Africa not only shared an offer that was hard to resist, but he reached out to me personally. from the very beginning, i could feel his personal interest in our story, and his commitment to do everything he can to make every aspect of our dreams come true.
we felt so well taken care of. i had some special request, e.g. i wanted to experience different types of safari, and how it felt to sleep in a tent in midst of the wild. Eddie accommodated all our wishes.
ultimately, understanding that i was giving all i could - for my Baby girls - he went out of his way to make the realization of our dreams affordable even to me, as a single mom. i will be forever grateful to him.

what we experienced in Africa and what surprised and impressed us so much was how people connect with each other to make things happen, for us, whom they have never met before. people still live as and from the community, and we were immediately and so warmly welcomed to this community. we felt nothing but upendo... love all along.
so a friend of Eddies connected with a friend who connected with a friend who slept outside our resort on the first day of our safari trip, just to pick us up on time, at 5 a.m. and bring us to Zanzibar airport. i only realized that when one of the maasai guarding the resort got him out of the bushes.
from there, we were always taken care by lovely people who didn't know us. but we got to love them so much.
everything from the flight with a small chartered machine to the entire safari program was so well organized, smooth, and an adventure as only fairy tales could tell.

arrived in Nyerere National Park, we were welcomed by our lovely Lucy Ludamilla, whom we immediately adopted in our hearts, and who has since been my oldest Baby girl, and of course Ellie, the most gifted story teller of times.
we spent the most incredible day together, driving through the national park, listening to the stories of lion prides, zebras, giraffes and elephants, and crocodiles, as we encountered them in their natural habitat.
we reclined under an old tree and shared a hearty lunch prepared with love, by someone who didn't even know us, which we shared with the little birds and animals. sitting there, in the midst of the wild savanna, having been imparted the honor to be a guest in this vast kingdom of animals, surrounded by the sounds nature, gave us such an incredible feeling of peace, and made us aware what a gift it is to be alive, and to be able to share this moment, and tell this story.
on the following days, we went for a bush walk, then visited a local village, and in the evening, we went on a boat safari. we concluded the day dancing into the sunset.
the tented lodge we stayed welcomed us with immense love and fed us delicious food every time they saw us.
the tent itself was unlike anything i had ever experienced in my life. simple but luxurious, and the feeling of falling asleep in the midst of the bush and waking up in the bush was simply magic.

very impressive was our visit to the maasai boma on our last day. they included us in some of their day-to-day activities, like making fire, and dancing with them was another dream of mine come true.
my girl Lucy accompanied us all along the way, and not only took such good care of us, but also captured the countless incredible moments we lived. thanks to her, one of the drivers went looking for elephants for us on the second day, as the girls had so much wished to see them in their natural habitat. it was heartwarming to observe the elephants as they passed by us on the road, taking care of each other as a family.
when our safari was over after 3 days, and it was time for us to return to the beach in Zanzibar, the girls were so heavy hearted.
even greater was our joy when Eddie, who had organized our adventure from the time we were still at home in Vienna, made the long and tiresome trip to visit us in our resort in Zanzibar the following week.
we were so delighted to meet him in person, and excited to tell him how much we loved and appreciated all that he, Lucy, Ellie and his entire team and the tented lodge staff had done to make this Safari an unforgettable experience, exceeding all our dreams, hopes, and expectations.
even the day we left the island and had a layover in Dar Es Salaam, Lucy and Eddie waited several hours at the airport to welcome us and take us to our hotel for the night. with pride, my little daughter wore the Plex Africa T-Shirt Eddie had gifted her when he visited us in Zanzibar. nothing would make her happier than be part of this wonderful family.

seeing them once more was the last highlight of our amazing trip to this beautiful, vibrant, breathtaking continent called Africa.

to anyone dreaming of a true adventure in the wild - i can wholeheartedly advise: chose Plex Africa, and you will be in the best hands. they make sure to make all your dreams come true, and then some.

asanteni wapendwa wangu. kumbatio kubwa. hadi titakapotana tena. tunawapenda.

with all our love.

Amazing experience
5/5

We are delighted with the experience and especially with Joshua, our guide.

At all times they have been very punctual and we have followed the plan as agreed. At first in the office we didn't know what was happening and they even changed our car but once all the tourists were organized everything was great.

We have done a seven-day safari (Masai Mara, Nakuru, Naivasha and Amboseli). We have seen many animals with their cubs, eating, lions, cheetahs, rhinos, jackals, giraffes, elephants, leopards... It has far exceeded our expectations.

I only have good words for Jocky tour and especially for Joshua, who has been with us explaining everything about the animals, kenian habits, curiosities and everything you want to know, always with a smile and being really friendly and fun. I always tried to escape from the crowd, except when there were some animals like cheetah, lion, leopard that are difficult to see and then there are more cars. It is incredible what you can see from afar and how you detect an animal.

So thanks for the experience and I wish you the best Joshua.

A very nice experience
5/5

We had a wonderful 5-day safari trip during which we saw many animals: not only were we able to admire the big five, but we were able to see them very close up and in situations, such as the meal, which were breathtaking.
We were able to enjoy this superb experience thanks to our guides: Charles, our interpreter guide, who was very helpful and spoke good French, and John, our driver guide, a very good driver and with great knowledge of the parks.
A good duo of very complementary guides.

Amazing unique and raw safari experience
5/5

Everything was amazing with clear communication for drop off/pick up instructions from the OR airport. Definitely worth the price compared to the amazing experience we received! Game drivers are absolutely fun to be around and are very knowledgeable about the Kruger area

Perfect Game Drive
5/5

We enjoy 3 days in Royal Murubishi, and 3 days in Tshuduku. Both of them was excellent.

Murubishi was more relaxed, with very nice surrounding, garden. The staff and game driving was professional, we saw everything what we was looking for.

Tshuduku was similar, but the game drive was more closer. The driver bring as to the animals very close trough the bush. Sometimes 4-5m. We could hear the breath of them, saw lions hunting, eating warthog, baby rino, a lot of elefants, girafs, leopard, cheatah, buffalo, ect. It was a very close experience, what can not be told in writen text. It must be expereinced personally, nothing comperabel to any video.

Family trip
5/5

We visited both the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti Park. Geovanni, our guide, was fantastic and did a fantastic job of educating us. We also visited the Materuni waterfal, which was a wonderfully pleasant and worthwhile excursion. This was the ideal safari experience for us.

Incredible and amazing experience where we saw a LOT of wildlife up close! Very well-organized
5/5

A good guide knows where the animals are; a great one is flexible, learning quickly what their clients are looking for and finding ways to deliver it. Jack from Axis was definitely the latter. One of our group on our 9-day safari had a high-powered camera, and getting the right angle and lighting is actually more important than getting as close as possible. Jack picked this up quickly and we were able to get some fantastic pictures as a result.

Jack found us all the animals we were looking for and then some, and we had some extraordinary experiences. Nursing baby elephants, boxing lionesses, a hyena and vultures feasting on a fresh kill. Everything was well-arranged and went smoothly.

Some notes for others considering a safari (and feel free to reach out with questions):

- BRING A GOOD CAMERA. If you bring a cheap one, you’ll be tempted to get dangerously close to the animals to get a usable photo. That temptation is hard to resist. We saw a leopard almost get hit by another outfit’s jeep because the tourists in it wanted a cell phone selfie.

- You’ll see the most animals in Masai Mara, but because it’s so crowded the quality of sighting isn’t as good. We had elephants come right up to the jeep in Samburu and investigate it with their trunks. No way you’ll see that in Masai Mara.

- Carnivores are always more rare than herbivores. If you see one or think you see one, you should stop. No guarantee you’ll see another.

- I’d recommend doing either Lake Nakuru OR Lake Naivasha. They’re similar environments. Of the two Lake Nakuru had flamingos, but it was also much more crowded.

- Samburu was amazing but quite a drive, consider shelling out for a flight if your budget allows it. It will save you a full day of driving.

- Kenya isn’t exactly a foodie destination, but if you come in with the right expectations, it’s fine.

- Don’t be put off by all the high-powered rifles; they’re for poachers, not robberies/assaults of people.

Great experience
5/5

We had 5 days safari with our guide Damian and it was really amazing. Thanks to his expertise we managed to see all big 5 and lived very special moments of game drive. Also the food made by Tito was delicious and various, very appreciated.
In few words, we definitely recommend Suricata Safaris.
