It was excellent experience. We took a safari tour for three days with this beautiful company. They were very attentive to us . The first day in Arusha a company briefer Chuke came to us explained everything in details. Our guide Robert was one of the best . Accommodations was amazing . Food is great and yammy . I didn't even expect that everything would go so great.

Amazing Safari Adventure by Patrick from Shanjoy Tours and Safaris. One of a kind experience.
5/5

From the time we were picked up at Nairobi airport to the time we were dropped off back 10 days later, and all the game drives in between in Kenya & Tanzania, every aspect of the safari was amazing. Thanks to Patrick who gave us the opportunity to witness the best of wildlife in their natural habitat. We saw elephants, lions, rhinos and buffalos at close range and also a glimpse of the elusive leopard eating it's kill in a tree. We also saw cheetahs and herds of wilder beast and zebras among numerous other animal species. Patrick's knowledge of the wildlife and his commitment to respect the right of way for the animals and ensure that we, visitors keep our distance, was evident during our entire safari. Our accommodations and meals were also beyond expectations. Thank you again Patrick for an amazing safari adventure.

Bogosi is knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating.

We did a four day budget safari with Moonlight and definitely got our moneys worth. Our guide was an expert at finding the game and the birds and making sure all of our needs were taken care of. The same goes for his crew.

Rushed and impersonal safari
1/5

Went on an evening game drive with a bush dinner. It started off promising and good. However, we then spend over half an hour having a snack-stop and the driver seemed in no rush to continue the game drive. After the snack-stop it were finally beginning to be dark, so that the evening game drive could begin. However, the driver where rushing forward to get to the bush dinner so that we nor he could have any chance to spot any animals. We then ate and the same story continued after. A driver that rushed through the park where no one had any chance to spot any animals. Very rushing and impersonal experience. Would definitely not recommend.

Clyde Beatty and his team at Tailormade Africa provided an excellent bespoke itinerary for my safari
5/5

I contacted Tailormade Africa after seeing multiple positive reviews online. Clyde, a co-founder, responded to my enquiry promptly and arranged a virtual meeting so we could discuss my requirements and so that he could then put together possible itineraries for me to consider. The whole process was much easier than I expected and extremely efficient. Clyde and his team clearly know Africa and are able to make appropriate recommendations and advise according to your needs. As a family of 4, with older children, I wanted a safari and beach holiday, combining seeing the big 5, the wildebeest migration and some sun and sand. We discussed my budget early on and he suggested 3 different safaris in Tanzania which fell within this and which would all ensure a great family experience. He recommended a variety of stays on a single safari, including a tented camp, lodges and a hotel. After that we would go to Zanzibar for 5 nights before returning home. Clyde also provided general advice regarding kit needed on safari in Africa, visas, vaccinations required etc.
This was for us the holiday of a lifetime. The accommodation throughout was amazing, the staff in each stay were fantastic. The guides for the safari in all stays were experienced, friendly, and so knowledgeable about all the wildlife. They also educated us about the culture and their own lives in the Serengeti. The transfers and internal flights were surprisingly seamless and smooth, with no delays. The only airport which seemed somewhat chaotic and overwhelmed by the number of passengers was at Kilimanjaro but even there, we were received and looked after by Clyde’s local contact, to the envy I think of a large number of Americans who seemed to be herded around in confusion by their group leader….
Clyde remained in contact via WhatsApp throughout our trip - his company does not just take your money and leave you in the lap of the Gods. When we wanted to modify our itinerary on our return leg, he enabled this efficiently and without fuss - he paid for the change and we reimbursed him on our return to the UK. He responded to any query promptly - however early in the morning or late at night I messaged him. My son actually commented that Clyde would need a holiday after looking after me! I know that if there had been any significant issue, Clyde and his team would always be at the end of the phone and that security when on this type of holiday I think is priceless. No bespoke safari holiday is cheap, but I would emphasise that the service provided by Tailormade Africa from the planning stages to when we got on our flight home was excellent and their quote was certainly not the most expensive we had. I cannot recommend them highly enough. I know that they can arrange bespoke trips to other places (South America, Australia, South East Asia and others) and we will definitely book with them again.
As an addendum, I would say that the people of Tanzania and Zanzibar need us all to visit them - they are highly reliant on tourism as a primary source of income and have struggled post pandemic. I felt completely safe travelling around the country with my family, and we did not need any vaccinations or malaria prophylaxis. If you stick with bottled water throughout (even to clean your teeth) you will be fine.

The tour guide was friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable about all things safari.
5/5

Our driver did everything he could to ensure we were comfortable throughout the trip. All information about the excursion, including places to meet, times etc. was communicated in good time. The drive itself allowed us to see lots of animals that the driver was very knowledgeable about. He did all he could to get us the best view!

My Travel to Tanzania
5/5

I had 3 days safaris in total with Leisure Specialist and visited Ngorongoro, Tarangire and Serengeti. We kept coming back because Leisure Specialist offered the best itinerary and the best price. Issa is extremely easy to contact and is very flexible with trip details. I would suggest choosing Leisure Specialist for their attention to detail and good pricing.

Three generations share their deep knowledge of Botswana
5/5

Our guide/driver/owner Patrick Malatsi took us wherever there were opportunities: a lioness about to make a kill, a hidden Pel's Fishing owl, a herd of elephants crossing the river with very small calves, a leopard cub dozing under the hanging baboon corpse left by its mother.
Our group of ten was flexible and so was he. As a consequence, we had one amazing experience after another. With three generations of the Malatsi family engaged, we felt steeped in culture and deep knowledge of all things Botswana. We listened to decades of stories around the campfire. Whether birds or animals or plants or scat, Patrick would help us learn and quiz us on our guesses as we learned more and more each day, adding to our knowledge base of the biology and the changing climate of southern Africa. Patrick is one of the best birding guides in the country, which is why we've gone with him twice in ten years. This time we went with our daughter and her fiancé for a two-week mobile camping safari. We felt part of the Okavango Delta, part of the Savuti, part of the Moremi. Our large solid tents with ensuite toilet were comfortable, the food was fabulous, the camp staff beyond delightful and fun and caring. It was the adventure of a lifetime.
