Wonderful wilderness

We loved Namibia, it was so remote in places we felt like we had the country to ourselves on the road and it has not been spoilt yet by tourism. The wildlife in Etosha was great, we had some lovely sightings. The campsites could be improved (some staff were a bit rude and toilet paper kept running out!) but the sites were lovely. The weather was lovely and warm with some rain overnight. Sussouvlei was amazing, Ive never seen a landscape like it and we loved the long drives through the remote mountain passes. We already miss this beautiful country.

I chose a small safari company, employing mostly women as guide /drivers and went on my own. Traveling this way I was able to meet and have many one on one conversations with the different guides and other Ugandans. It was a wonderful experience. Yes , I saw and loved seeing the animals, but my greatest joy was meeting the people, finding about the rich cultural diversity in the country, interacting with the children and villagers, and getting to know my guide.

The rainy season had come a little early so there were lots of adventuresome road driving due to washouts etc. but my guide/ driver was awesome. Nothing seemed to phase her. The accommodations, although basic due to where we traveled, were always clean and serviceable. Staff at the various places were always helpful, polite and friendly.

Many of my friends say that I was brave for traveling to Uganda and Kenya on my own but due to the professional experienced treatment I received from my safari company and the genuine kindness of the Ugandan people, I can honestly say that I never felt threatened or unsafe. If someone is looking really experience an African country , not just view it, Uganda is the place to go!

We arrived to beautiful weather, many friends told me it could be cold at this time of year, but it was cool on the early game drive, but soon warmed up. Kruger was a fantastic experience and cannot explain how privileged we feel to have seen the big 5!
Our guides were fantastic and knew the park so well. Kruger is twice the size of Wales in the uk.
Dress with layers, like an onion and you'll do fine in kruger. There are blankets on the Jeep to keep you warm.

Mt Meru-Tarangire-Ngorongoro Safari
5/5

I only have great things to say about the personalized service, efforts to adjust to changing itineraries and wildlife movements, and overall content and experience while going on safari with Brian and his Ecological Wilderness Adventuress. He did an amazing job of making our trip incredibly enjoyable, satisfying, comfortable, and worth repeating. His natural history expertise including local culture, environments, and wildlife species were always evident and appreciated by each in our party. Hiking, birds and mammals, and tasting the diversity of local communities were important facets of my trip and he was great at trying to accommodate those needs. Highlights included close encounters with elephants at Tarangire, rhinos and lions in the Ngorongoro, sharing a lunch with Masai children, hiking on Meru, and just relaxing after each incredible day. I will not forget this great adventure and hope that we can enlist his excellent services again and for a much longer time. I highly recommend them. Asante sana, Brian and company!

Wildlife and scenary leave speachless, amazing! The weather is perfect when i was there last october 2016, accomodations are okay according to the price i paid, i think food was not as amazing as i imagined, perhaps it was just tourists food and not local and authentic kenyan food. The transport of the safari i booked, they picked me up at my residence more than 1 hour later, and in the way out of Nairobi the vehicole that transported us stoped working 3 times, and 3 times the driver called for a nother vehicole and we had to changed the 3 times to another van, all this lost time made us arrived to the camp very late and we entered the Maasai Mara Park just for one hour and could not enjoy it because we were driving too fast. We haven't given any reasonable solution from the driver to compensate the lost time, so we prscticaly paid 3 days of entry to the Park and used only one, because the last day driver told us we need to leave early. In the way back, entering to Nairobi, the car stoped working again and we were about another 45 minutes waiting in the middle of the road to get the car fixed. It was evident that the vehicles that we used were not in good conditions for a safari tour.
