Perfectly cost-effective and excellent customer service!
4/5

We had a 5-day budget safari in an excellent price and we were very pleased with pretty much everything. The food was good and our guide was experienced and knew a lot about the animals and wildlife. We also saw a lot and the route was well-planned!

We stayed in camp-sites and slept in tents so warm clothes and some adventurous spirit were needed and there was not much room in the car for any extra luggage. However the car itself was clean and comfortable.

The customer service gets full five stars! The company replied all our emails and questions fast and provided a good accommodation in Arusha and also helped us with other things e.g getting buss tickets.
The company was also very flexible with the payment as we had trouble with getting dollars.

All in all nothing luxurious or fancy - but excellent customer service and very enjoyable and wonderful safari!

Amazing scenery, safe, nice and smiley people and some of the richest animal life you can encounter in the African continent.

Tanzania Safari 11 days Serengeti and Ngorongoro 20-30 may 2014

The organisation of the safari communication, travel, accommodation and food was excellent. We travelled in a small convoy (3 vehicles)and we felt safe at all times. Our driver Hubert Modest was a very good driver, had a wide knowledge of the animals and their habits and where to find them. He added immeasurably to our enjoyment of the safari. We would recommend this safari to all.

Meet at the airport by my guide Apolo. Was very well taken care of. The lodging was adequate and the food. Was very good. Everyone at resort was very accommodating. Got to see lots of wildlife but missed seeing any lions. Taken back to airport and then on to Kampala after safari. I was only one on safari and could not have felt any safer.

We saw many animals on our game drive in Chobe National Park on our first evening. The sunset over the Chobe River is fantastic and so is the herds of elephants crossing the Chobe River.

Wonderful company! Fabulous experience!

We can't recommend this tour group highly enough! Before our trip, we were easily able to communicate directly with the owner Brian and his colleague in the US, Ken, to customize a two week tour just for the six of us. Sammy was our guide - highly knowledgeable, patient with those of us who kept telling him to stop for yet another picture, reliable, and very entertaining. Sammy could identify every bird and beast we saw, had a great eye for photography, and knew right where to situate our vehicle for the best animal viewing! Brian's tented camp in the Serengeti was one of our favorites - the food was great and the service excellent (including someone to do our laundry!), not to mention the wildebeests and zebras everywhere. We'd highly recommend a trip to Lake Natron where you can see thousands of flamingos and hike to a beautiful waterfall on the Ngerasero River. And be sure to hike down into Empakai Crater. And finally, definitely go hunting with the Bushmen and stop to meet the Datoga tribe. Ecological Wilderness Adventures truly made our trip the experience of a lifetime. Call or email them if you have any questions. They will be quick to respond.

We climbed Kilimajaro and did Safari afterwards. It is very convenient to travel within the same country. Besides, the national park and safari are famous and plenty of wildlife to look at

The food for this trip was wonderful. All the staff were so helpful. Gorges Lodge, Bomani Lodge and Jozi camp were perfect! The only thing that was not great was the ride from Gorges to Bomani and Bomain back to Victoria Falls. Suzanne was ssoooooo helpful!

Zimbabwe! 2 weeks, 3 parks: lizards, lions, camping, walking, learning, laughing!
5/5

My 3rd time in Zim with Mike & Bernard of Khangela Safaris. These guys never disappoint! Nobody can find a lion like Bernard can! Between the driving, the walking, the cooking and the tracking of animals, every trip with Khangela brings me back to life when I have had too much of the modern world. I sleep better in those tents and on those mattresses than anywhere else. The food was fabulous (and I am a vegan), the company was great fun and we saw giraffes, ground horn bills, lions and more lions, cave paintings, elephants all over the place, and buffalo (on cue). My personal highlight?: I had a wonderful hike over the summit of a lichen-covered whale-back at sunset in the boulder-filled splendor of Matopos park which I will never forget! Bernard works magic, Mike is organized and tirelessly funny. A creative, functional low-impact camp set-up which is a joy to wake up in and return back to daily. I'll be back.
